Since the last review was left two years ago, I wanted to update Yelp that Kat is still the absolute BEST. I echo everything in Susan's review: Kat is a perfectionist, professional, efficient and SO much fun. Since moving back to NY and trying a few places around CP, I tried Kat in June. I haven't missed an appointment since, and wouldn't go anywhere else! She uses hard and soft wax, will talk you through exactly what you want and makes the whole experience 10/10!! read more

Katerina is hilarious, terrifying, gorgeous, and welcoming, all at once. This woman understands that making a customer feel comfortable is absolutely necessary before ripping out all the hair in their ladybits. And Kat doesn't let you *not* feel comfortable. You WILL laugh and joke and chat and feel like you made a friend, and leave her business sort of stunned that you got all that plus a fantastic wax. You don't have a choice. Because Kat is THROUGH. I have never had a wax this smooth or this complete. She even denuded my lower belly ("this happy trail is not so happy") and parts of my upper thighs I'm too lazy to always shave ("it's messing up my masterpiece"). She used three different kinds of wax and was intensely efficient without ever making me feel rushed. She also didn't make me feel like a fat glob of rolling and undulating lard deposits, as is so often the case for big girls when we get waxed. She asked me to hold some of my skin tight, but I never felt grotesque or like I didn't belong there. I also had much less irritation than I've had with other wax experiences, and I really like that she didn't tell me to come back in four weeks. Six to eight. That seems so much more rational, manageable. Very refreshing. Bottom line: go see Kat. Your confidence will skyrocket ... but it might be difficult to resist the urge to show everyone how dang smooth you are down there. read more

I saw Kat for a couple of years and was generally satisfied. However she was late to EVERY appointment (leaving me standing on the sidewalk at her door, waiting). Communicating with her can be difficult. The last time I saw her she was stunningly rude to me apropos of nothing! She made a couple of remarks about the length of my leg hair. Then after she removed the last strip she just threw a wax removal towelette at me as she left the room. I am a pleasant and fun person and always tip 20%. I never went back. read more

It was my first Brazilian Wax experience so let's just say i was terrified with all the stories I've heard about pain & possible discomfort etc. WELL, i had an AMAZING experience with Kat. We literally talked the whole time I had my wax, did not feel pain or discomfort and she was very professional and THOROUGH: made sure no hair was left behind. I went with a friend who wanted to get a wax also. I was Kat's last appt for the day, so my friend had scheduled herself at another wax spa to head to after I finished. She was so kind enough to take her even after my session and being done for the day. She had a great experience also and we'll both be returning when we're due for our next wax! I would never have imagined myself writing a review for a business that I haven't patronized...but I felt strongly that I needed to on this occasion. The whole saga started by needing to try contacting Katerina twice before I finally received a response. She said that she never received the inquiry from her online form...and that may be since the internet can be a fickle beast. So I thought nothing more of it and she responded with two emails back to back and left off telling be to text or call her to set up the appointment. So a couple of days later I texted her to do exactly that...no response. A couple of days later I sent an email...no response. Then another text...nothing. Almost a week later I sent another email as it had been to only way I'd ever received a response. I questioned why she wasn't responding and if she'd ever really planned on seeing me. I asked if she was playing games and what was going on. I mentioned putting up reviews based on her lack of professionalism and total disrespect...low and behold she responds. She said I was being inappropriate and aggressive because I was going to "attack" her business. I completely disagreed with that and found it completely laughable. I was only expecting a modicum of respect by responding to me...whatever the answer was. You wouldn't tolerate a person in the same room ignoring you...why should it be any different just because we are using the internet. If she no longer wanted to have a new customer...fine...just tell me that so I can move on. So i just felt the need to pass along my experience and let everyone know that Katerina does not appear to have any respect for people and doesn't feel the need to act in a manner befitting one in a career dealing with people. read more
