I want to start by saying the folks working in service treated me great and I love my RV. That's it.
I would never have purchased this RV from Kitsap RV. They were unresponsive, misinformed me, could care less after landing the deal, and at some points, just plain old dishonest. Everyone played hot potato including the owner Jon, Sales and Finance.
Truly disappointed in this experience. Here is some actual proof. You be the judge.
This was my letter to the owner. He never responded so I emailed him back 7 days later. He responded with the following (yes, the grammar and spelling is exactly how it wrote it):
June 11, 2018 (My initial email to Kitsap RV.)
Jon
I called late last week and asked to speak with you and they told me you were out. I wanted to bring some things to your attention.
For the most part, I have had a terrible experience buying my RV from Kitsap RV.
The sales person we worked with, Marc, was nice enough but seemed to drop off the face of the earth as soon as the deal was about to close.
The finance guy Darin was great until I was misinformed about the deal being one and when the pickup was happening.
The day I came in to get my RV, the one I had been told to pick up, I was greeted with lackluster staff that could not be bothered to help me. When I said, "I am here to pick up my new RV", they replied with, "Go back to Service." That was from the chairs they never got out of.
When I asked if they would like me to pay for it first, your ears perked up and you assumed control of the deal but not before you told me you had to get your coffee, first.
When we got into your office, it was one of the most unenthusiastic deal closing I have ever seen. I know I wasn't a very high ticket item but you could have at least pretended to care.
You barely explained anything I was signing to me. After I signed the paperwork, you shook my hand and attempted to send me off to schedule an appointment to pick up my RV. That is when you found out again that I was there to pick it up that day at the direction of your staff.
No appointment had been scheduled. No parts were ordered to fit my truck. I had to go to Toyota myself and buy the adapter I was never told I needed. What I thought would take one hour, took an entire day.
The Good: Jamie did a phenomenal job. In my opinion, he was handed several piles of shit and did everything he could to make it right for the customer. The guy wearing the lab coat was extraordinary. The service tech that installed my brake and hitch was great and extremely helpful. Last but not least, your operations manager saved the deal. After I had signed the incorrect paperwork given to me earlier, she was able to help me to acquire the correct docs and complete the deal.
I believe I am a pretty fair person. I expect to be treated with respect anywhere I go. If I spend $20,000, I expect to have the folks in the company I am spending that money in be able to communicate with each other and myself. I expect if someone tells me they will call me back on Friday (this last Friday), then they will. Or when I call back over the weekend and am told that I will 100% receive a call back on Monday (today), which I did not receive, that I will get a call back.
You guys have really dropped the ball in so many places. I have had to call in, stop in, be my own advocate, drive to stores, etc... All for a brand new RV from your place.
If I am wrong, please let me know. I am 100% open and willing for that to be the case. From my perspective, it seems like as soon as a deal was made, pushed through, not communicated about and then patched up poorly.
All I can do is judge what people put in front of me. I would like a call or email or something as soon as possible. My RV in is your lot and I would like to know when I may be able to use it again. I was supposed to hear back a few times and haven't yet. I would also like to talk about my comments above.
Thank you for your time.
Sal
