What I asked for vs what I received.. I've come here twice before and have gotten pretty close to the 1st picture and they had me pay $55.. they then charged me $65 for these today and they're shorter and completely different from the picture. I got a nail lady and it was clear she didn't know what she was doing. She was clipping the tips off and they literally were flying. One hit me in the face, one hit the other lady doing nails and the rest just flying over her shoulder. At this point they were way shorter than I wanted and she looked at the picture of what I wanted twice so I just don't get how she got it so wrong. She started clipping my nails square which clearly wasn't like the picture. The other nail lady then took over seeing something was off but it still wasn't close to the picture.. Needed to get a manicure out of town and my sister recommended this place. We went in the middle of the day between the holiday season so there weren't busy at all. It was a big salon, probably about 10 pedicure chairs and 7 manicure chairs. Very spacious. There were lots of color options available from gel, powder, regular, etc. everything is labeled so easy to find. I got a regular manicure, no polish for $25. I'm from out of town so I'm not sure what the price range is around here. This salon was located in a small plaza, easy to find, plenty of parking. The service was friendly, they speak good English so I don't foresee difficulty in understanding. My manicurist was fast and efficient, I wish the massage was a little bit longer, but there were people waiting so I understand. So, I WILL say this. When I first started coming, it was always a Tuesday or Wednesday, when it's not busy at all. They nail techs took their time and made sure my coats of polish were even, dry, and to my liking. Full sets were given the same treatment. Well, here is where things turn, I couldn't go during the week and booked an appointment for a Saturday early afternoon. First off, I showed up 10 minutes early for a full set and spa pedicure. I was seated 10 minutes after my appointment time. My pedicure was rushed through and then hurried out of the chair to the next station for my hands. I just wanted a basic acrylic set with a matching nail color to my toes. Well, I got talked into a "special" gel that costs more. Then woman who did my nails did not look or move confident in what she was doing. She made my middle fingers, distinctly crooked. The layers were uneven, some thick, some thin. Worst pedicure ever! It was bad from start to finish... the guy rushed through every step and skipped some steps altogether. Barely let my feet soak. Didn't use cuticle softener, just pushed my cuticles back dry, and didn't do each toe, just some. Cut/filed my nails all different shapes. Used the callous sponge for literally 5 seconds on each foot, just went through the motions, didn't even focus on the callouses. Didn't trim or clean the sides of my nails. Rubbed lotion on my legs for less than 1 minute each, not even long enough to rub the lotion in, he wiped it off either a towel. Did a sloppy job on the polish. Had to use a little paintbrush and acetone to fix all his boo-boos. I didn't realize how HORRIBLE my toes and nails looked till I got home. Dry skin and cuticles, same callouses as when I went in, bad polish. Won't go back! read more

I have come to Kitsap nails for years always had very nice staff do my services until today. I walked in about 445 and asked for a pedicure and if there was time for a full set the. I would like that too. The girl was very nice and got me set up I a pedi chair. I was looking at colors I was interested in when the guy comes over and snatches the color samples out of my hand and hands me a book and another ring of color samples and walks away. I wasn't interested in any of those colors so I had to ask the girl for the other ring back. The man comes back and abruptly asks me what pedicure I want not handing me a menu or anything with a very annoyed tone I had to look for the menu on my own and answered him and said the Kitsap signature I guess because I felt like I couldn't even look to decide. He then doesn't say a word to me and turns and walks away and walks outside. The girl who was very nice comes up and says I'm going to do your nails here if that's ok and I say yes that's fine. I just couldn't wash away the feeling that the man gave me and decided it was best that I leave. The girl tried to talk me into staying but ultimately I decided that I wasn't going to pay someone for a service that's going to treat me like crap. I told the manager as I walked out. This is very disappointing this place used to be have the nicest staff when Cindy ran it but since she left it seems as if this is t the same for all employees there and that's a bummer as it's where I have always gone because it's close to my house. I hate to say that on experience ruins many positives but unfortunately it does. I went in to get my acrylics taken off and they didn't fully take the acrylic off so I have to go somewhere else now to get it done again.

Don't bother rating or reviewing after one visit because I swear they give you the best tech if you're a newbie so you come back. The first and second time I went (months apart) I had absolutely amazing nails. When I went for a removal and new set is when the trouble started. The tech removed my nails incorrectly by basically ripping them from my natural nails. The chemical used before the new set burned upon application to the point of actual pain. She dismissed me and then I felt very rushed out despite being the first one in the building. When I came back for another fill (thinking it was a one off) I got a different tech and she was the same. Rushed and not good. I came back another couple time fingers crossed for the good tech and they never took my nails off despite me asking. They just filled them again. The polish they used came off within a day or two in big globs. Another polish they used chipped almost instantly. I developed a fungal infection from the extended wear and improper application. I've been getting acrylics for over 15 years without a fungal infection. I saw almost every tech that works there, only one maybe two actually knows what they are doing and your chances are slim you will see her. Not worth your nails. It's been 2 months and my nails are still recovering. Go somewhere else!!! read more

The second time I came in for a dip removal and new dip, my fingers were burned by the drill but stuff happens right? The third time was dip removal and pedicure. The person looked like she would rather be ANYWHERE else (I'm already super self conscious and insecure so of course I took it personally. I wanted the dip off and new polish... The dip was drilled off, no pre soak, and my thin nails are now thinner. After every nail breaking (I have thin nails, expected) I realized they were cracking below the skin line. I removed the polish and they are damaged and painfull. I've had good service here in the past, but unless you have your person it's pretty risky. Do not go here! Mail attendant was so rude and rather than engaging in conversation he put his earbuds in a listened to music. He didn't soak my hands before he started cutting and ripping my cuticles. He then used the dremel to buff my nails and that tore into my cuticles even more causing 3 of my fingers to bleed, one so badly he tried to super glue it (insane!). I stopped the manicure due to my bleeding cuticles when he asked what color I wanted my nails painted. While I waited for my friends to get their nails done one of the other nail techs gave me a $30 gift certificate and told me to have one of the girls do my nails next time. I've had mixed reviews with Kitsap Nails. It's truly felt hit or miss for me. They've been super sweet when I've brought my kids in, which always shines brightly with me. Today was really amazing though. I had Julia do my nails with the dip and had her put tips on since my nails were dry and uneven right now. She did an amazing job and went above and beyond to make sure they were shaped perfectly for me. She was so kind and after a conversation she had with one of her coworkers, she brought me into it and explained what they were talking about and we all continued the conversation. I have been to this location 3 or 4 times. A few times before covid and a few times after, but all within the past year. Every time they push you to get more services, there's a few friendly people, but most of the ladies aren't. The last time I decided to get all gel services and it lasted 3 days (peeled off) for my daughter and 1 week for me. Not only that, but I have an injury that I was trying to tell the ladies multiple times but they wouldn't stop talking or they would interrupt me trying to tell them, to the point I just gave up. It's a brain injury so sometimes I am slow to think and move. My wonderful technician kept snapping (literally) at me to move faster and honestly I wasn't going slow. She painted clear coat over the dust debris that she left on my nails. I had to remind her I'm supposed to wash that off first, u cant just put clear coat on it. I disliked my experience at this nail salon very much, The nail techs and services are very unprofessional, I wanted a specific set, showed pictures, and it wasn't executed, had attitude thrown at me by multiple people, even though I only talked to two. They are prejudice, argumentative, liars and have bad communication. They even overcharged me for a service I did not like and I let that be known during and after. If you care about your money, pay attention to the service menu and prices because they will try to charge you extra and take advantage of you if you're nice, and only tip to people who really deserve it. Oh and pay attention, they also don't clean and sterilize their pedicure equipment before utilizing it on another client, they'll scrub dead skin off of someones feet and use it right after on the next person. I made an appointment for to get a manicure and a pedicure at this place 4 weeks in advance. When I tot there there was a line of walk ins just waiting to get helped. I told the manager I had an appointment and he looked on their little book and my name was for some reason crossed out when I never called to cancel, but he still told me it was ok and to sit for 20 minutes and wait. I waited for more than 30 minutes and they never called me instead they kept calling the walk ins. I was very disappointed, I had an appointment for a reason and I was expecting someone to be able to help me out or at least that I didn't have to wait so long. I received the worst gel pedicure for the highest price I've ever paid $45 plus $2 for the emery board and pumice bar. They are expanding the size of the salon and are probably increasing their charges to cover the expense. The foot soak colored my legs and feet blue and the person doing my pedicure thought it was funny. The scrub they used was the size of a sugar cube and half of it fell in the water.The leg massage lasted less than a minute. Where to begin...?!??? It is a clean place, thankfully. i was seated and helped quickly. The woman doing my toes was very nice, but then she asked me if I had "my bag." Ummm.... excuse me, I have to bring me own tools, which at first is smart because they are YOUR own germs/bacteria, but at the same time DONT I PAY YOU TO HAVE SANITARY PRACTICES!? Went to kitsap nails 3 weeks ago and was happy with my nails and they did a powder dip which I had not done before. Went yesterday for a fill. Showed them a picture of ombre nails with a light baby pink going to a baby blue. went here about a month ago, the older mean lady was one of the rudest people i've ever met. she literally got pissed at me when i said i wanted a new set of gels instead of a fill in. this lady literally ripped off like 7 of my nails, no acetone or anything, severely damaging my real nail underneath. My sister and I decided to venture off to find a new place to go waxing d/t being unhappy with the lady we used to go to (tina's in silverdale) and were told about this place. we were quite surprised! We called a half hour before coming in at 1 and it was quite busy (with 5-6 workers) on a Satuday. We came early and did not have to wait long. We were told to see Lin so that's who we saw. She is fast, but in a good way! She doesn't miss any hair and shaped my eyebrows exactly what I've been telling all the other waxers in my life to do! SO HAPPY!
