The meat area is all set up in square metal tins in a huge self-serving area. There were huge caldrons of stews and soups which looked good but neither of us tried any of those. And now for the Negative side: While we were immediately seated upon walking in. We couldn't get a server or a menu for a few minutes. We both looked at each other as the serves were rushing by and finally we held up our hand. Maybe they assumed we knew what to do? I guess assumed we were getting the buffet. Once we received the menu and looked it over, we decided to do the buffet. Normally, I really dislike buffets because well, everything is just sitting there starting at you, begging to be taken off the table. But since we were committed and famished, we decided to just go with it. Thankfully, my husband enjoys barbequing...so I never hesitate to take him to eat Korean BBQ. We came at 16:30 so we received the $180 per head deal for the shabu shabu goodness. Even on a Saturday, it was fairly empty inside with servers that looked nonchalant as they were passing out food to tables. Upon seating, you choose your main stock and have your go at the vegetables and cheaper-meats lying on the counter. There's also soft drinks and beer included in your price. The biggest trick here is that you're supposed to order off the "RicePon' app on your device. WHAT!? It took us about ten minutes before we realized that nobody was going to come to our table until we downloaded the app and ordered online. This explains why the service was pretty meh at the beginning- they don't come to you until you order. Nobody even told us we were supposed to do it this way, and I can speak/understand Canto. The app is fairly straight forwarded and if you can't read Chinese, they have photos associated with a majority of their items. Once you select the premium items including thinly sliced beef and pork, sushi, sashimi, etc. they'll bring them out to your table one by one. We ended up ordering three rounds of meat and seafood for our pot and had a blast. The slices of beef were definitely good and the freedom to order non-meat items made this one for the books. They've got the staples as well as some rarer stuff like the coconut steamed egg, fish balls and steamed fish head. When you hit lunch time, their roast meats are surprisingly good. Especially the meaty roast pork. It sounds silly but the meat flavor really comes through. Enjoy it while you can.

Conveniently located at Nathan Road near the Tsim Sha Tsui MTR station, we decided to have our final meal in Hong Kong at Daikiya Japanese Restaurant. It's a very solid all-you-can-eat option with two thick notebooks of pictured items to choose from. The raw and the cooked, the fish and the meat, the meal and the dessert... Sashimi - The usual suspects abound (tuna, salmon, yellowtail, etc.), but they also have hokkigai (surf clam), amaebi (sweet shrimp), Hokkaido hotate (scallop), and nishin (Japanese herring with roe). Served on a bed of ice and decorated with artificial flowers, each platter was well-plated... and delicious! Nigiri - There are plenty of winners here, but let's focus on the one that topped the list - Grilled Scallop with Crab Oil and Garlic. Seared enough to give that burnt flavor, dabbed with crab oil, then topped with roasted garlic... Need I say more? This was the highlight of our meal and, yes, my younger daughter and I had this over and over and over! Worthy runners-up - Grilled Flatfish and Prawn with Black Fish Roe. Rolls - An assortment of maki (sushi roll), temaki (hand roll), gunkan-maki (ship roll), and sashimi rolls was on the menu as well, but we were able to try only a few. The Mango and Soft-Shell Crab Roll was too small and had more cucumber than anything else. There simply were better options to be had. Grilled - Surf and Turf! Shrimp, scallop, oyster, lamb chop, beef, chicken, pork, and even pineapple. The best dish was the Sautéed Diced Beef with Garlic. Perfectly seasoned and cooked medium, these beef chunks were so tender and tasty! Dessert - Gotta save room for some (or all) of these - mochi, macaron, ice cream, tiramisù, brownie, crème brûlée, fruit, nut, and so on. We indulged in their special Milk Top, which had a limit of one flavor per person.
