Lori and Tania have been incredibly helpful and so pleasant to work with. Most recently, I hosted a gathering for 20+ employees and selected YG's heavy hors d'oeuvres option. A gentleman arrived right on time and set up everything as requested. Bonus - we can't use open sterno and YG brought a flameless option for hot foods. Hours later, it was still piping hot! The buffet included ham biscuits with a sweet jam on the most flavorful cheddar herb biscuits I've tasted! Also served were meatballs with mozzarella and marinara, chickpea cakes with pesto, spinach dip with crostini and pita bread, brie en croute with dried fruits, almonds and crackers and a Mexican cookie dessert tray with chocolate dip. He arrived enebriated, proceeded to say (upon arrival) that he would start by drinking a couple of shots and his staff would be in charge. We chuckled thinking he was joking. He was not joking. He got totally sh*t faced. He drank our beer, helped himself to private liquor. He was found going through several bedrooms. He was "busted", but that didn't deter him. While everyone was dining, he went downstairs to help himself to more liquor. When he finally parked his butt in the dining area, he sat in a chair and barked orders to his staff. I would have been mortified if I was a part of his staff. Although I highly recommend this business for their food, DO NOT ALLOW THE OWNER INTO YOUR HOME!. He may have thought he would never have to deal with the wedding guests again and could get away with his unprofessional behavior, but I am a LOCAL. We opted for the heavy hors d'oeuvres and the duet plate dinner, and every dish was exceptional. The seared beef with demi-glace sauce was cooked perfectly and received endless compliments along with the local caught fish! Also, the potato pave is a must as a side! As the bride and groom we added crab cakes to our plate and they were amazing. We used Johanna's bartenders, who were wonderful, and later in the evening, Espresso Martinis were served, which our guests absolutely loved. The staff was amazing--they served all the food and even handled cleanup seamlessly. Johanna herself was wonderful; we scheduled a tasting before the wedding, and she was incredibly helpful, friendly, and attentive. Her service is truly top-notch. They suggested different ideas and were very responsive to all our emails during the planning process. I'm not sure I can say enough about how awesome the food was and how much there was left for us after the wedding. A couple weeks later their truck was at the Got to be NC festival in Raleigh and we went to have some more of their amazing dishes from the truck. Once again, delicious!!!
