I came here here a few years ago when it was called something else. It sucked. Plain and simple. Food was terrible. Service was ok I decided to give it another chance. Glad I did. Can't say anything about lunch cause I haven't had it. Breakfast, on the other hand, is very good. Eggs prepared just like I ordered them. Hashbrowns were excellent and not too greasy. Coffee was decent. The waitress, Lola? I wish I had remembered her name cause she was very pleasant and very attentive. I recommend this place for breakfast. read more

First time here, the wait for the food was quite brief but they brought me bacon when I ordered sausage, they were very polite though when I mentioned it. I tried the biscuits and gravy, the biscuits were very fluffy and soft I wasn't to fond of the hash browns to me they tasted a little funny. My boyfriend got the gluten free pancakes and he said they were delicious, also they are very good at making your eggs anyway you request. I moved away from the PNW and one thing that made it difficult to leave was this cafe. I loved everything I ever ordered and have found it to be very homey. The last time I was there I ordered the Winter Special Apple Fritter French Toast. While they served it with maple syrup it was totally unnecessary. Perfectly sweet just the way they came. The eggs and bacon that came with were also prepared just right. I'm glad I'm moving back in to the area so I can enjoy their offerings any time I want. read more

OMG! The cinnamon roll that my tweenage granddaughter ordered was bigger than her head. She loved it and only got through 1/2 of it. I ordered the Smoked Sausage breakfast. Tons of sausage on the plate. Everything was great. We will be back with the whole family. read more

Another Day and time to try another local Restaurant. They had a Winter special. Chili and Cheddar and grilled Cheese. Missed out on breakfast, so I was hungry. It was very good, the place was very busy. They really needed another server during the lunch crowd. If this place could have a negative stars that's what it would get ! Got seated right away sat there for 10 mins no water nothing then finally got water put in order. 25 mins a bagged salad and rubber chicken was slapped down in front of us. Wife and I are regulars here. Best place for breakfast in Vancouver that I know of. Anytime we have family in town, we always take them here for a weekend brunch. Never had any disappointment of any kind, and everyone we bring loves it. Even my picky sister. Servers are always friendly, quick, and very helpful. Have never had an empty glass of anything. Prices are reasonable as wells. They could easily charge more than IHOP and those other places that serve mre's, but they are in the same ballpark. As I'm writing this review on a Friday night, I just planned to go there for breakfast tomorrow. It's that good. read more

The only reason this didn't earn my 5 stars was due to a very disturbing interaction we witnessed with our cashier at check out. The young lady was having technical problems with the register and asked a nearby manager for help. The lady manager was so snippy, short and curt towards her. She spoke down to her while attempting to fix the problem. She walked away but the problem persisted. My friend made a comment about her rudeness to the young cashier but she attempted to diffuse the situation however she was still struggling with she machine. She then got the attention of another coworker (possibly a manager) blonde lady who took the time to show the cashier how to fix the issue. She was so pleasant and patient. She put my friend and I at ease. We're grateful to have been witnesses to such blatant disregard for professionalism because we want people to know that being rude to your staff in front of customers is not good or positive behavior. *The food was good. Waitress was excellent.. to bad it was Overshadowed by the checkout experience. read more

I can't tell you how great this place is. The food is off the chain, the service is great and consistent. After coming here several times I finally moved on to the lunch menu because breakfast is so amazing. The omelettes are my favorite but they do special scrambles that taste great. And you'll pretty hanky need a box for the leftovers but you'll be stuffed when you leave. read more

So while waiting for my oil change I decided to try the kitchen table. I am a fanatic for chicken fried steak so that's what I ordered. I like my hashbrowns crisp and the gravy on the side as well as sour dough toast. I was not expecting to get an oil slick on my plate. The hash brown's were crisp but they used lots of oil to get them crisp, but they were cold. I could squeeze butter out of my toast that left a pool on my plate. Not sure what they put in the gravy but it tasted strange. The chicken fried steak was the size of a regular hamburger, but the taste was adaquate for a frozen product. For $11+ dollars it was not worth it. Will not be eating here again. read more

I took my daughter here for breakfast this morning and wasn't impressed. The V-8 I ordered was definitely plain tomato juice, and out of the three things we ordered on the "keep it simple" menu option, only the eggs were good. The sausage patties were overly greasy, as in puddles of grease on top of both, and the biscuits and gravy were bland and slightly cold. I love this place. My family came to start off out weekend and this experience was amazing. I had the sweet potato pancakes- they were excellent. Perfect blend of spice and tender- rarely do I finish my plate, but I did and was contentedly full. My child had the meat lover scramble with cheese (they are a swimmer) and they ended up taking the pancakes home. Their sister totally missed out! My spouse had the pork chop breakfast - very good, though the chops themselves were a bit over done, still edible though. The coffee size was perfect and we love the creamer!
