Kitchen Table is a very down to earth, family-oriented yet stylish café. We wandered in for lunch and it was mostly hits with a few misses, so I would say this visit was more 3.5 but I am pretty sure we came on a bad day.
The menu has a good variety of breakfast and lunch fare. We had the (massive) club sandwich and the baked eggs, which didn't blow us out of the water but were still very enjoyable.
Service was friendly but our food took quite a long time to come out, although I was helpfully advised that the baked eggs would take longer than other dishes, so perhaps that was why. Still, the wait was noticeably long but we weren't in a hurry.
The only thing that loses points with me is the kitchen being semi-open. For a good portion of our meal, the room smelled like a deep fryer.
In spite of all the negative aspects of this review, I quite liked Kitchen Table. I'll definitely be returning as it's a cut above the rest in the area. read more
