Our job was completed 23 October 26 Where to start? When we saw the work being done at my mom's, my husband, who hates change, said we can have our kitchen redone so, of course, I jumped on the opportunity and scheduled an appointment. We went from 1981 birchwood cabinets to a fabulous updated color scheme that makes our kitchen look like it belongs in a model home. Susan Parker came to our home and, with her exquisite design taste, came up with a color scheme that satisfied both my husband and myself. My husband loves wood, so Susan selected a beautiful woodgrain finish for the upper cabinets that ties into the color of our counter & flooring and selected moonphase blue that matches perfectly with our dining room walls and also pulls the blue from our flooring. She also recommended we change out our lower cupboards for drawers and, boy howdy, I'm so grateful for that suggestion; the change will help my aging back tremendously. When we signed our contract, we were provided with clear instructions to prepare ourselves for the work to be done. Our project manager Mike Hart came out and did the measurements and kept me in the loop on the timing of our project and handled my change order promptly. We were given a start date of October 19. My requested installer, Ben Ritchey, called to let me know he was five minutes out and arrived on time. Ben is awesome. Punctual, polite, courteous, friendly and very trustworthy. We were so comfortable with him, we went to an appointment without any reservation leaving him in our home. As you will see in the video, he did a amazing job on refacing our kitchen. Just finished up a kitchen remodel with Kitchen Mart and couldn't be happier with the entire process! The designer (Susan Broaddus) was awesome and came up with a near-perfect design. I made a couple small tweaks but everything else was her execution of the concepts rolling around my brain, Pinterest pages, etc. One of the things that drew me to Kitchen Mart is that they do all the work in-house (i.e., no subcontractors). My project manager (Edgar Mendoza) was an awesome communicator with eMail, text messages, or calls on a regular basis and the KM team would call to remind me of project checkpoints (e.g., start of demo, inspections, etc.). The individual team leads were great as well, in regular contact, and receptive to questions or suggestions. From demo though construction, plumbing, electrical, cabinetry, counters, and to final hookups, everything Kitchen Mart did was done with great care. I'd heard horror stories of change orders, etc. but my job only had three small change orders, one of which was my fault. Two of the change orders were actually credits and the third was to cover the cost of the inspections (which I was expecting since the actual cost isn't known up front). Even with a couple issues (neither their fault), they stuck to the schedule without exception and completed the job on the day promised. They were VERY clean and were even cleaning/dusting the floors *outside the construction* area on the last day. The quality of the cabinetry (KraftMade) and Kitchen Mart's craftmanship is exceptional. I was 110% happy with how everything turned out and wouldn't hesitate to use them for additional projects! read more

We are beyond thrilled with our newly remodeled kitchen from Kitchen Mart! Our journey began in December with picking out our surfaces and cabinet faces at the Rocklin Showroom. We paid a deposit and then waited for an appointment to begin measuring and planning the remodel. The wait to begin the remodel was long, as a result of supply chain problems and Covid restrictions, but the team communicated well along the way. We were able to order a special sink and faucet that we wanted to use in the remodel, and have them ready for installation. I can't say enough good things about the team of highly skilled workers that were assigned to our project. Each one took great care of our property, and were very conscientious and meticulous in their craft. At times I felt like their standards were even higher than my expectations. There were parts of our remodel that were a little tricky, because we own a vintage home, but the team rose to the challenge each time, and the end result is very unique and exactly what we wanted! One of the best things about booking with Kitchen Mart is having a project manager that really manages the job. A question about cabinetry, paint, countertop... all goes to the same person, who always quickly responded to my queries! Inviting people into our home to demo and build was a little stressful in these times, but our experience with Kitchen Mart ended up being exactly what we'd hoped for in every way. read more

Unfortunately we had a pretty disappointing experience here. We give two stars only because the interaction with Showroom staff was pleasant. We scheduled an appointment and had a design specialist, Susan Parker, come out to talk about kitchen renovation. As she shared, Susan would ultimately be overseeing the project-end-to-end. We understand the process of this kind of project in that we may have a list of wants but they might not all be possible - there are some sacrifices in working with our existing space and budget to make it functional and to code. We also have an appreciation for the balance of our wants as the customer mixed with the expertise and opinion of the company we work with - that is, in part, why you hire someone, right? That said, we felt Susan did not listen at all during our design appointment. The conversation focused entirely on what her personal preferences were. She didn't entertain the idea of any open shelving or layered drawer organizers because she didn't like them or they didn't work for her personally. Of the things we did feel strongly about that we didn't want, she included them all in her first design renderings (again, only her vision for our kitchen). Because of this we had a lot of questions and many change requests to the renderings she sent. Then she started dragging her feet on responding to us. When we followed up 9 days later on an email she hadn't replied to, she finally responded indicating she was busy closing on 12 other big jobs - this was the nail in the coffin. It came off a bit condescending and indicated to us that she didn't care about our project. If she was annoyed by the design change requests, we would encourage her to listen to her customer in the first place to avoid that. In comparison, we imagine our project would have been on the smaller side for her portfolio, though still upwards of $50,000. That's no pocket change and it's still business. We felt our project was not important to her and, as a younger couple, we speculate she didn't take us seriously. We actually never responded to her last email and she didn't bother to check in so we feel our assessment is pretty accurate here. Needless to say, we did not move forward with Kitchen Mart. We did give our business to another company, America's Dream Homeworks, and it's been an A+ experience. They have an incredible showroom with full-size quartz slabs. Very experienced company with wonderful staff. I highly recommend them instead. read more

Absolutely shocked to find the salesperson telling me how they are "licensed to do everything" within the company. Went to their license lookup on the contractors state board to find they had NO LICENSE to do a fill kitchen job after all!! Just a general license. Not only that, they post this on the front page of their website- - FRAUD!!! IF they are fully licensed as they state they are, the board would post it and it's not. I wish after all the time it took spending the time to figure my designs out, and waste precious time working up drafts, that I could get that time back. Very happy to have found another kitchen company right away to do the job and make the one stop all in house shopping experience with a licensed designer!! read more

We did a kitchen remodel that consisted of granite countertops, tile backsplash, and replacement of 2 sinks with faucets and garbage disposals, a hot water dispenser, microwave, and dishwasher. The designer/salesman (Dan) was very knowledgeable and helpful. After we made our decisions, we were given a very specific schedule that the various team members stuck to. All were prompt, professional, and did excellent work. I would highly recommend them and we will someday use them again for our bathrooms. read more

Very disappointed with our first time visiting your showroom in Rocklin. We were asked what brought us in and we explained we are remodeling our kitchen, mostly looking at cabinet colors but also to look at hardware and solid surface counters. She told us that KM does not refinish cabinets and we should probably just go to a place that sells the stain. We explained that we were not asking if KM does refinishing. She advised that KM was in the process of changing their stain supplier. Which we said no problem. Needless to say she made us feel very uncomfortable even looking at your showroom. We drove an hour to your showroom to only be treated poorly by your salesperson. Not a good first impression. read more

We had a gentleman come out to our home in August to give estimates on remodeling the kitchen, guest bath, and laundry room of our newly purchased home. He spent about four hours there, going off on a lot of tangents, which fine, ok, we are friendly people and don't mind chatting, but we are also very busy. He said it would be 2-3 weeks to get an estimate as they are busy. Four weeks later, and no estimate. I called KitchenMart to follow-up, and they called the salesman (who I won't name because I'm not trying to get anyone fired, and he's just following company policies) and he did send an estimate for $74,500. Now that's a lot of money and three rooms, but the breakdown all fit on one page and was not very understandable - lots of acronyms and no breakdown for parts or labor for each room, etc. In fairness, the salesman did ask to return to our home to "discuss" this estimate but we just didn't have the time for more hours of this. We had other contractors come out who spent less than an hour and sent several-page estimates with clear breakdowns by room, material, labor, etc. and we will be going with one of them. Also, their availability is terrible - we were told 6 months out! And their payment plans - $1000 before any work starts, then you pay in installments along the way - but no mention of how they will compensate the customer for their own mistakes or delays! read more

KitchenMart did a remodel in our kitchen recently. We have had other kitchens remodeled in other homes and this was by far the best experience. They delivered on time, as promised and are very reasonable price wise. We got several estimates and a general contractor friend, who was unavailable to do the work met with us and KM and he rightly felt they were the best option. He also honestly added that he thought they were a better pick then he would have been if he had been available. He did a 1,000 sf addition for us several years ago and if I were building a home I'd hire him - so his endorsement spoke volumes! Since I'm retired I was able to be around during most of the work and interacted with almost all of their employees. They're all very knowledgeable in their craft and great at their jobs. Unlike a lot of companies who sub contract work out, KM's uses their own staff. They have tilers, electricians, cabinet workers, demo guys, appliance installers etc., who are very talented and skilled at their jobs and are all VERY customer service oriented! Besides their professionalism, they are very team focused, by that I mean you NEVER hear one complain about the work another did. They support each other and their focus is on WINNING (viz., doing the best job for the customer)! In other companies it's not uncommon to have one sub contractor complain about the work another sub has done and then YOU lose. I heartily endorse KitchenMart and highly recommend them for any work they do. read more

Feeling pretty disappointed with the customer service at the showroom in Rocklin. We had someone come out to our home this morning for the initial consultation, and they suggested we go to the showroom for next steps. As today is Friday 3rd of July he said we should call before driving out there just in case, but that they should be open until 5pm. My wife called and specifically asked about it being the 3rd of July, but was re-assured they don't plan on closing until 5pm. We got in the car and drove the 45mins out there. As we pulled into the parking lot (2 pm) and started to put our masks on we saw the staff getting ready to lock the door. We mentioned we called them before driving out, but were told "Sorry we have a staffing problem". Wouldn't they have known about the staffing problem when we called? Anyway, this whole experience left a really bad taste in my mouth about their customer service. My wife is looking for another kitchen remodeling business as I am writing this. read more

I purchased a home from a dear friend of mine that just had the entire kitchen redone by Kitchen Mart. The day I moved in I was putting items into the cabinets and 3 different cabinet door hinges broke. I can understand ONE, but 3? Upon inspection, the thin metal and poor quality of the hinges was embarrassing that Kitchen Mart would choose such cheap hinges. The 3 doors were literally hanging from a single hinge, so I had to remove that hinge in order to continue moving in. With 3 cabinet doors sitting in the corner and the eyesore of 3 cabinets without doors, I called Kitchen Mart. I had to leave 3 messages before receiving a call back 5 days later. When I did receive a call back, I explained the embarrassing situation with 3 separate cabinet door hinges breaking less than a year after the remodel. I was told it would be $95 for someone to come out and take a look. I IMMEDIATELY knew this was NOT a company I will EVER do business with again! Kitchen Mart prioritized $95 over the lost opportunity cost of future business with anyone/everyone I know looking to do a remodel. These were the "hidden hinges" that fit into a bored-out hole in the back of the cabinet door held in with 3 small Philips screws, then mount to the side of the cabinet frame with 3 heavier screws. I purchased $220 in new hinges that fit into the same hole and even had the quiet-close action on them so the doors don't slam when you close them. Far superior quality to these hinges and utter peace of mind knowing none of them will ever break again. 4 months later I noticed the front edging on the cabinets peeling off. Unfortunately this was at a corner that led into the dining room so it was HIGHLY visible. Looking around a bit more closely, I noticed the same thing was happening to the opening around the refrigerator. Turns out it is a thin laminate that they adhered to the face of the original cabinets that was delaminating (again, embarrassingly less than a year after it was applied!). I got the same story when calling Kitchen Mart - I would have to pay for someone to come take a look at their own poor quality workmanship. I hired another contractor to repair all the lifting faces, not wanting to invest another penny with Kitchen Mart. Ironically I'm now seeing TV ads for Kitchen Mart peppered amidst all the Tokyo Olympic coverage. If they were a company with any integrity at all, word of mouth from prior customers would be promoting their business and they wouldn't need TV ads, especially in the middle of the busiest home remodeling surge in history. Shame on you Kitchen Mart. Maybe you should consider standing behind your work. read more

5/23/2017 Kitchen Mart just completed a remodel on our upstairs guest bathroom and we were very pleased with the finished product. The crews were on schedule and left the area clean on a daily basis and there was an open communication with the team. Adam did an excellent job with his work and coordinated the project with assistance from Chris and Ricardo and Nick did a great job on the the tiling work. This is our third project with Kitchen Mart, having used them for a remodel for our kitchen and master bathroom, and we will certainly consider them again in the future! I called Kitchen Mart to schedule an appointment for new kitchen counters, Cambria quartz. Before my appointment, I decided to visit their showroom. They didn't have a very large showroom but did have the Cambria I had already decided on. When they checked the book to see who was coming out for my appointment, my name had been erased. No call from anyone. They then rescheduled my appoint on a Saturday that required me to drive down from a convention that I was at in Reno to be home by 12:30. The person was on time and drew up a quote and said he would email it to me but never did. Said it would take 8-10 weeks before they could even begin. Went with another company through Costco and from the day I signed it was completed to a high degree of satisfaction within 2 weeks. read more

We had a problem with color and called KM to ask about the problem. A tech came out and looked at the color and agreed. I did a review of KM on Sacramento yelp. It's the same company. We are using them a second time for our bathroom remodel. I wanted to update this with my comments about Sacramento Kitchen Mart, which is really the same company. I don't know why there are two separate entries for this company: Kitchen Mart installed Corian counter tops for us several years ago. The work was competent. In fact, when it came time to do our bathroom, we contacted them for an estimate. When we had our counters installed, the plumber drilled holes in the Corian and they were not quite even, which was something we learned to live with. The work however, was good...no problems with the quality of the work. We did let the company know, however, that we were not crazy about the holes being a little off. So when the estimator came to look at our bathroom, she looked up our previous account and I don't think she was anxious to do business with us because of our letter. We had to repeatedly prod her for our estimate, and she only gave us an estimate for a slab of granite, not for the entire bathroom. Would I use them again? I don't know. You shouldn't have to prod the salesperson for an estimate. I can't criticize the quality of their work, however, except for the fact that the faucet holes were just a bit off. Everything has held up well though. Update: After having three contractors (all of them NARI by the way) not show up, we may go with Kitchen Mart again. This time, we had an estimator who seemed much better than the woman who just gave us an estimate for a slab of granite. This time, he gave us a comprehensive estimate. Will update if needed. Update: We used them again for our bathroom. If you didn't know the trouble we had with the workman (except for demo and tile, one guy does everything), you'd think the room was beautiful. But he put a hole in our wall, he insisted on putting his tools in our new bathtub and you can see silicone on our new bathtub faucet. He did fix the hole in our wall, but we have to paint it. He also was supposed to spot texture the spots he repaired, but he textured the whole bathroom. We were doing our own painting, and the supervisor, David said we could prime the bathroom after the demolition, which we did. By texturing the entire bathroom instead of just the spots he had to texture, it made it necessary for us to prime the bathroom again. On the plus side, the installer was really good centering things. After he was done, however, the new pipe under the vanity leaked. He came back and tried and tried to fix it. He couldn't. Finally, he said the pipe that was sent to us was defective. We called the company that sold us the faucet, and they sent out another pipe. We had our regular plumber install it. I'm not saying the Kitchen Mart installer was wrong, maybe the original pipe was defective. But by that time, we wanted our own plumber to install the new pipe. We just felt more confident in our own plumber. I also thought KM's tile installers were great...five stars for the tile installers. The project manager, however, never checked with us during the job. I still give the overall job three stars...and if you just walked into the bathroom, you'd think it was beautiful. If you do go with them, make sure you have a real understanding with the project manager that he WILL contact you during the job. For the money they charge, I thought we deserved some contact during the job from the project manager. Update: We are in the process of doing our other bathroom. I emailed the KM estimator who we used last time. He never replied to my email. Either he does not want to deal with us, or for some reason he didn't get the message. I don't mind them not wanting to deal with us (we thought they were okay, but not wonderful), but I would have preferred a reply saying, "I don't think we'd be a good fit..or something." No answer is a drag. On the other hand, maybe he didn't get our email, although I doubt that. In any event, unless we hear from him (it's been since before Christmas that I emailed him), I guess we won't use them this time. read more

Kitchen Mart remodeled my kitchen several years ago. Once you sign the contract, the gloves are off. No more Mr. Nice Remodeler. I had in my contract how far away I wanted the island. They put the island too close and it was like a hallway kitchen. I've had plumbing issues, sink slowing sinking issues, etc. They have sent someone out every time to fix the problems but after 5 years, it was getting old. Finally, a couple years ago we found out they laid the piping in the floor wrong under the island. The only good thing about this was I was able to move the island back to where I'd originally wanted it, but I had to pay for labor. The last couple years we've had no problems, knock on wood. I would never recommend them to anyone. read more

My husband and I are planning a $70k+ kitchen remodel. I have been interested in checking them out because they are local and have good reviews. I work full-time and their only weekend open showroom time is 10-3 Saturdays, so I took the time away from my weekend to check them out. Two employees seemed to be working. When I came in they were both working with clients, so, after browsing there for a while, I went next door to Gold River flooring. The service there was excellent. I came back and one of the employees was wrapping up with their client and the other was working with a new walk-in looking to take home a sample. While the walk-in was getting something from the car I asked if they handled remodels from start to finish and that employee indicated they did. When the other staff member was finished with her client, she walked to the back. I knew I was a walk-in and there were only two staff, so I stuck around. However, the first employee remained busy with the new walk-in and the other walked by me without acknowledging me when she finally emerged from the back. Maybe their Yelp reputation means they don't mind turning away business - that's certainly what they did today. Kitchen Mart put new quartz countertops in our kitchen. They did an amazing job! They had to remove our old tile countertops, which is a messy job, but they somehow managed to not make a mess. The workmanship was outstanding, and the company's professionalism is unmatched. We love our new countertops, and would not hesitate to recommend Kitchen Mart to our family and friends. read more
