They sell lots of products ranging from homeware items to garden to stationary. The shelves are rather tall but overall reachable for the young but maybe not suitable for the maturer people. They got these new baskets which I hate because its so fiddly but overall the place is very clean and refreshing looking. Sometimes there are staff on the shop floor around stocking up items and its a great place if you want to buy some bargain items like shampoo, garden pots, etc.

Often places such as robert dyas dont have some things which can usually be found here. Tools/plumbing equipment etc its all here. The stafff are helpful and can generally assist you with anything that you cant find or worry if it will work for the job you had in mind. Some items a little on the pricey side as I guess they cant get the discounts huge retail chains can get, but its family run, local and friendly. Worth paying a bit more for in my opinion.

There is also a stock of floor and wall tiles. The displays are on a par with high end established kitchen and bathroom displays but you'll be surprised. A full range of fittings are available from trade, functional fittings through to the bespoke high end stuff. Staff are very helpful and will help you plan your room and advise the best possible fittings. They will advise but not push. Orders are costed on site and you are kept fully informed about progress. After-sales service is good and, like the plumbers-merchants, they will go the exta mile to help you out. The only downside is that it is hard to find within the industrial estate. Turn to your left as you enter and then follow the road round - as the road turns to the right DW Burns entrance will be on your right!

In the doorway they always have a nice range of cards ideal if you need an arty all occassion card in a hurry! They sell quite a bit of heavy wood furniture, and fabulous glasses and candles to adorn it with! It is a lovely store where you can get some great home furnishing ideas, the staff are always keen to give their ideas to. My criticism is they need to clean the store and polish the furniture!!

It has been gone for a while now, so I'm relieved to find that this store contains much of the same household essentials at a similar price point but in a much cleaner layout. Sure you're not going to be able to buy timber from here but if you came out on a Saturday morning to go to the post office and you needed to buy some fuses then this place fits the bill just nicely. The store is laid out pretty logically, so I was able to find the fuses straight away, and the price was good (£1.50 for a pack of nine mixed fuses as I wasn't sure what size I needed). I quickly paid and then I was on my way. Of course I wish it had all turned out for the better - I thought I needed a new fuse for a plug but it turned out the lawnmower was just broken... so I had to head out again to get a new one from Argos, but that's another story. I would happily come back here for similar products as the store made it easy to find products and the person work was a helpful chap (he was helping someone else as I paid).

Dunelm is a great store, with lots of variety of things for your home…read more Having first gone to the new Homesense, it was strikingly obvious that Dunelm is a bit overfilled, cluttered, and dated. However, they do have good prices, and lots of choices. They did have a really small Christmas section though, which was a shame. If I needed something in particular, like new curtains, I'd definitely come here. But just to browse, it's a bit too much.
