"There was long ones, tall ones, short ones, brown ones Black ones, round ones, big ones, crazy ones" (Spill the Wine - by Eric Burdon and War) They sure do have room for all of those cabinets, I mean after all, their showroom is a cavernous 9,000 square feet big. They have over 125 samples of kitchen and bath vanities on display, and that's pretty darned impressive. We are remodeling our bathrooms and placed orders to replace the vanities in the first two. Each bathroom followed the same process -first we met with a designer and gave them an idea of what we were looking for- size, style, finish, hardware, etc. Then they gave us a few pricing options before we returned a second time to place our order. The cabinets aren't in stock, they get delivered to their warehouse in Waterbury, and that takes a few weeks. Once they are in, you can either pick them up at the warehouse or get them at the Southington store if you want to. If your vehicle isn't big enough, they can deliver for a charge. We were able to fit the vanity and counter box into our vehicle, but the warehouse guy opened up both boxes first so we could carefully examine everything before we drove away. For our first purchase, we worked with Tom who was so helpful and knowledgeable. He made the transaction quite pleasant. We picked up our vanity and countertop today (they look great) and will have them installed by our plumber in a few days. We paid around $450 for a gorgeous vanity and countertop in colors and styles that perfectly complement our newly renovated bathroom and move it from the 1970's into the 21st century. Could we have gone cheaper at a different store? Probably. But could we have received the same wide spectrum of products, level of amazing customer service, undivided attention, and expert advice and guidance that Tom gave us? No way. Simply fantastic kitchen Designers. Josh Mechyler answered all my questions. If I have any issues resolve them quickly with prompt emails. Highly recommend this place! They installed my new kitchen cabinets and quartz and it looks amazing. I had some chipped cabinet. When I Told them about it they immediately ordered a new cabinet right away to replace the chipped one. Any questions I have were answered immediately!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS...because our cost has been too much! I don't even know where to start. Actually, I wasn't going to start with a positive because our kitchen cabinets came out well working with Larry, but all that has come to a crashing halt. We used them again for a pantry. We have one large cabinet on the end that is holding up the installation. Why? Because we are now on our 5TH ATTEMPT to get this item delivered here. It is from a company called WF Cabinetry and the company and it's rep are absolutely and utterly inept. 1st attempt- Cabinet damaged in shipping because they were too lazy to box it correctly. 2nd - The cabinet had an atrocious smell to it like mold or something similar. It smells so bad that it sits in the garage and soon to be in the dumpster. 3rd cabinet - They didn't stain the interior the correct color 4th cabinet - damaged AGAIN during shipping. The useless rep was supposed to come see the smelly cabinet but cancelled and has made ZERO effort to reach out to us. I guess since Kitchen Cabinet has our money, they and this rep can't be bothered. Obviously, he isn't spending any time at the shipping facility, either. I'm not sure why WF Cabinetry even employs this guy.  This has been going on for THREE MONTHS and there is NO sense of urgency with any of them. Is it 100% the rep's fault? No. It's Larry's fault. It's Kitchen Cabinet Outlet's fault. Will you trust thousands of your hard-earned dollars to this company? We never will again. You have been warned.-- read more

My cabinets came in with two missing panels for front of drawer fronts. After waiting for weeks, they finally arrived. The new drawer fronts do not match the same wood tone of the rest. I'm going to go ahead and have my contractor install since I already waited so long but I'm not happy. The wood looks much lighter than the rest of the island. I should have gone to Lowe's where I bought my cabinets from a few years ago. read more

I ordered homecrest cabinets and within a year the paint is ruined. I got a black paint finish for my base cabinets. The entire row of cabinets have chip marks. Now I have to repaint my cabinets. Desi Brooks read more

I am extremely frustrated with KCO. I had new Fabuwood cabinets from KCO installed in my kitchen a little over a year ago, and the paint on several of the doors has begun cracking and peeling. Despite the manufacturer's five year warranty, I have been told that for some reason the defective doors are not covered. I have been trying to resolve this for over a month and am getting nowhere. All I want is a few replacement doors. This should not be complicated. read more

Walked in the door and everybody runs away. They all acted like they were busy nobody greeted me. I had a brand new Ford pickup truck right outside so don't know why they thought maybe I wasn't interested or able in purchasing the new kitchen. I asked for help they told me to go to the back and knock on somebody's door which was very bizarre. That gentleman said he just got back from vacation and a few of them are getting back also so I guess I was just there on the bad Day. But the bad day is for them if they don't care about a new customer what are they going to care about after you spend money and they already have it? read more

Larry is an amazing kitchen/bath designer. He did our kitchen, two full baths, bar and a desk area. He listened to our needs and nailed it on the first try at a fair price. He designed a gorgeous kitchen island for us. We are very happy we chose Larry and Brendan for our installer. These two are professional and make a great team! If you want damaged cabinets upon arrival, a missing cabinet in the initial delivery, miscalculated measurements that cause you to incur additional costs, then this is the company for you. Furthermore, if you want to have unanswered phone calls, messages and emails when you were promised to have these issues rectified, then this is the company with which to do business! I give them two stars because the cost point was good, but as the old adage goes, you get what you pay for! read more

Spot on Customer Service We purchased a beautiful set of cabinets and countertops through Kitchen Cabinet Outlets and Discover Marble and Granite earlier this year. We had heard many good things about KCO and we wanted to check them out. We found them to be professional, competent, knowledgable and priced fairly. We worked with Larry out of their Southington store and he was always helpful. As a matter of fact, he and KCO were the only outfit willing to work with us on a design of our own...others had tried to persuade us into their own design while Larry simply found ways to accommodate our requests. We also took his advice and purchased a beautiful countertop through Discover Marble and Granite out of Wallingford. They too were accommodating and made the process simple and affordable. Of course, in life, nothing ever goes quite as planned and we did have a bump in the road during the installation process. I am very pleased to report that all interested parties did the right thing and made things right for us. HORRIBLE customer service!!! Left messages for "Manager" and no one returns calls. I ordered my Kitchen from them....I still need more pieces. They never told me I needed a blower for the piece above the stove I ordered. I keep trying to get someone to help me order items, but no one will get on the phone or return my calls. read more

Everything started out great. Walked in had a very knowledgable sales rep who walked us through everything and was able to find something that would work for our bathroom remodel. That's about where the good experience stopped. I knew ahead of time everything would take 4-5 weeks to get. Figured I would get some kind of update at some point but nothing. After the 5th week I called and sure enough my order was ready. I went to pick everything up everything was boxed. I got it all home and a week later the contractor I hired started the install. Unfortunately after they installed the vanity we discovered my special order was the wrong size. The top was correct but not the vanity. They are closed on Mondays but have someone answering the phones. I expressed my dissatisfaction and was told I would receive a call as soon as they open Tuesday. They open at 9am, I waited till 11am and called in myself. The sales rep stated he had some family issues and that was why i didn't receive a call. Fair enough, I was given two choices. One was a reorder and another 5 week wait the second was they would uninstall it and modify it. That was a few days and the route I took. The funny part is the sales rep said this is something that happens all the time. When I asked why they don't check the orders before they call the customers he had no answer. The employee showed up and had no idea he had to uninstall the vanity. He was not very kind in removing it and after he left I found that he causes a leak in the new plumbing from just trying to rush things. That was a nice $150 extra bill to fix the plumbing. I finally get the vanity back and the predrilled holes on the top where to far back, and the side splash I ordered was polished on the wrong side. For all the money the charge for custom cabinets it's rather comical. please avoid them at all cost.. Or if you do use them make sure you check everything before you bring it home.. read more

Do yourself a favor and GO ELSEWHERE! Our experience was a nightmare. Our kitchen job began 4 months ago and we ordered an island and granite counter from here. First, they sold us granite that was no longer being manufactured. We did not learn of this until AFTER the entire kitchen was designed around the granite. Then when we found another type that matched our design BRIAN the MANAGER refused to assist in the cost difference which equated to approx. $500 difference which we would have split, but they REFUSED. We went directly to a granite source and the cost was less expensive and much more easy and pleasant to have the job completed. There was no middle man, so that saved us from driving ALL over the state and into MA to view the final granite product. The island came in with damaged doors (the replacements arrived today; 3 months later) and we had to have the island redone to fit our appliances as BRIAN the MANAGER did not listen to our specifications. This was an additional $800 cost for us. There we no inside selves with the island, as they sent us some other customers outside doors; we waited another 2 weeks to have them arrive and picked them up today and noted there were no clips to hold the selves in place. BRIAN the MANAGER told us he will order them and they would be in Monday. Odd, we are sure BRAIN the MANAGER must know they are closed on Monday's as they have signs posted ALL OVER THE STORE saying "WE ARE CLOSED ON MONDAYS" Not to worry, we were not leaving this place without the shelf clips, as we were not going to have our kitchen held up by Kitchen Cabinet Outlet for another month. Don't know where BRIAN the MANAGER got them from, and don't care but we are finally rid of this awful experience and place forever. I DO NOT recommend this place to anyone. Do your research and go directly to the source for your needs as you need not have a middle man to charge you more or mess up your kitchen. Overall, the KCO is overpriced, low end of products, and the service is deplorable. read more

Horrible horrible !! Would not suggest going there . Ordered cabinets in June they told us five weeks it took eight in the meantime our kitchen is ripped apart longer than it should have cabinets finally came and two of them for the island are wrong they have drawers which are unusable since the counter overhang's 12 inches called them up several times to have them fixed they said install the cabinet we will have someone come out and install door panels and take out the drawers here it is Thanksgiving and still no one returning our phone calls had to report them to the Better Business Bureau spent a lot of money on these cabinets!! ....... in response to their comment below I had asked three times bout their lead time on the cabinets and the sales rep had insisted that it would be 5 weeks. I had expressed that I did not care if it took longer just be straight with me so I don't rip apart my kitchen . When the cabinets did come in and we found two were wrong I immediately called sales rep and was told he would get someone to fix it . After weeks of trying to get a response from my emails and phone calls my boyfriend ( who by the way also purchased these cabinets with me and we live together so he was not just talking in my behalf but trying to get OUR kitchen finished) had to start making phone calls to the manager where he was getting no where as well .
