Day of install came and one of the panels was going vertically and everything else horizontally. Reached out to John and after a little back and forth he agreed to replace the panel at no extra charge. When day of replacement came it was only a crew of 2 guys, they struggled a little to move stove and were concerned about gas line as they were unsure how to close it, the guy in charge took them outside and told them to be quiet, stop complaining and get it done. 3 months after replacement section was installed and final payment was made my countertops cracked! I reached out again via email to John, several people from his team came out to look at countertops a couple of times and I was told they'd replace them once they had the same material leftover from another job. That was over a year ago! I repeatedly reached out to John and James who now no longer works with John and I was just given more excuses. I consulted with another company and I was told the reason for counters cracking was most likely bad installation since there were no signs. We also paid for cabinet lighting and lights went out a day after installing after having guy come out multiple times we gave up. I have recently filed a complaint with the BBB, countertops should have come with some type of warranty for at least a year.

That allowed humidity into the walls and caused mold and paint blistering around my front entry door. I turned again to YELP to locate a company to remediate the results and find the cause or source of the problem. Alan's Restoration had the highest number of 5-star reviews so I took a chance and contacted them - now wary of the highly rated YELP reviews. Turns out this outfit is worth their 5-stars - and then some. EXCELLENT customer service including accurate and frequent communication, fast response, quick turnaround, friendly people and most important - when a substantial problem (that they did not create) developed during the project - they came back after completion and corrected it the next day. And I'm sure it was probably at their expense. Not many companies like this around anymore. I know that for sure from nearly 70 years of experience with 50 in project management. It's a real crap shoot these days when contracting with anyone on YELP or pretty much anywhere else, as I unfortunately found out with that cable company that caused this entire problem. So, I could not rate this company any higher and I recommend them more than any other I've dealt with in many decades. They yanked my bacon outa' the frying pan on this one.

Thankfully the people working here haven't been a bother and were good about answering all of my questions. There wasn't much of a hard sell and left me in peace to peruse without watching my every move. It also is about the quality of the product, which I'm pleased to say seems great all around. I was able to get a good feel (#2) for what I needed visually, overall functionality, and design. I have purchased several things from tiles to sinks from here and it's all been a relatively smooth process. A lot of it was done online, but the studio was really just to see it in person. I doubt it's the most affordable since the prices are up there. While I think it's perfectly suitable to compare other shops, it's sometimes worth noting that getting everything from one place can be extra convenient as well.
