This is my go-to place for Friday lunches to treat myself. It can get pretty busy though between 11:30-1 ish, but they crank through the orders pretty quickly. They give you a number and call it out when your order is ready. Behind the counter is a line of high powered stoves to heat up woks to serve food that's piping hot. Yes, it's the stoves that require a steady trickle of water to run over them to prevent the fire from melting the metal stove. I think that must be the secret why the food is so delicious due to the wok hei. I've had their Thai Stir-fried Glass Noodles (Pad Woon Sen), listed as Woosen Pad Thai on their menu, as well as their Curry Noodle Pad Thai with chicken. It's always been delicious, although be careful with their spice level. They can't serve it without any heat, but the mild still has a kick! They also have drinks and bubble tea-the Thai tea is delicious and has a strong flavor and a lot of caffeine, but their boba is hard so I wouldn't get it again. Today I ordered a side of peanut sauce with my order that was delivered via DoorDash. Here is a picture of what my peanut sauce looked like. I could not get my fork through it. It is a dried out brick and I paid four dollars for this brick. I tried calling the restaurant to explain the person answering the phone had no idea what I was talking about. It's in the same shopping center as the shopper's world store. Grabbed some carry out tonight. It's a good night for carry out with the snow coming and going and small hail too. Ordered pad Thai with chicken, added steamed tofu and veggies, extra extra hot and a veggie curry with chicken, steamed tofu, no corn and medium spicy. Total was $29.66, takes 10 minutes to be ready. Small place. Some counter seats and a few tables. I see where half of my curry sauce went, it's all the bottom of the bag. They definitely need to work on their carry out packaging. It couldn't make an 11 minute drive home. Additionally the smarter thing would have been to put the saucy veggie curry on the bottom of the bag and the pad thai dry noodle dish on the top, no? The veggie curry sauce has good flavor, good amount of veggies, thankfully there was only 3 pieces of corn, not my favorite. Nice heat to the sauce too. The chicken is lean and the tofu are small cubed. The pad Thai noodle is decent, although it was probably about a medium plus, was not extra extra hot at all. Decent flavor. read more

Not impressed is the general Consensus. $13 for bamboo shoots and coconut milk. To all Thai restaurant owners, if you must include bamboo shoots in your dishes, use them sparingly, not as if your making Thai Alfredo and the noodles are bamboo shoots. The sauce was light and the flavor was lacking. The upside was the egg plant I added to the dish. They use thai eggplant as opposed to Italian/middle eastern eggplant. I wouldn't recommend. I've been here a couple times when it's convenient. I avoid otherwise. Nice people inside. Decor is not impressive. I don't like leaving bad reviews but I do like to leave honest reviews. The dining room is tiny; two 2-tops and one 6-top. It was spotless. I ordered the mixed seafood, massaman curry. Spice level are "Thai," not farang (foreigner) - you've been warned. I ordered medium spice and it was spot-on. My curry was served hot from the kitchen with a side of sticky rice and a spring roll. Hot food, hot. Cold food ... I did not order any cold food. WiFi? Yes, but Patrick did not know the password. Restroom: Gender neutral. Clean. Parking: Ample. Very, ample. Will I return? Yes ... and if it was not a 25 mile drive, I would be a regular. read more

First time trying this place. Excellent Pad Thai chicken. At other places the prominent flavor is vinegar, but this sauce had a more rounded flavor. I had forgotten what it was supposed to taste like. There is also that smoky hot wok flavor that you can't get on your home stove. I ordered mild and it was mild+ to me. Another poster mentioned them using the Thai scale of heat, and I believe it, but I won't know until my "make that Thai hot" friend tries it. So, I live really close to this establishment and it just opened. I seen it a few months ago and have been wanting to try it. My sister and I had a hang out day so we ordered it to go. It is really yummy! We got 3 dishes. The pad Thai was delicious and was made really well. Everything meshed well together. The chicken brought it all together. The drunken noodles are phenomenal. I love it. I got it with the beef and it was exactly what I expected. The mild + spice brought it to another level. The bangkok chicken was okay. It was too saucy for me and the chicken didn't seem fried but maybe that's because we did carry out. The man that took my order and greeted me was very attentive and pleasant to talk to. I already had a favorite Thai restaurant close by, but when I was faced with the choice of having Subway next door or risk it all at a small Thai joint a little bigger than a food tent at a festival, it was a clear choice. Three tables total and food is served with plastic containers and cutlery. No worries, this place is designed for carry out only, so the tables are usually open. Gang Garee is the best I've ever had, why recommend anything else, well because the basil fried rice and pad Thai are great too. I had to literally ask for extra hot four times before the owner submitted to my idiocy and punched in my order. He said that they are a spice level higher than most and he wasn't kidding, careful with that but made me love the place even more. read more

Ordered the Pad cashew via phone. Picked it up within 10 minutes. The person that greeted me was friendly and gave me my food. The restaurant looked clean. The pad cashew unfortunately was loaded with mushrooms which wasn't in the menu description so that was very disappointing since I'm not a fan of mushrooms. The sauce was very runny and not really a sauce but a liquid. The flavor was lacking but had the kick of spice just no real flavor and too runny for my preference. The spring roll that came with it was very good and fresh. Would give this place another try and would order something different next time and make sure I clarify the actual ingredients are same as online menu. read more

I work next door to this restaurant and it is amazing they have a friendly staff and the food is amazing worth the money

I so wanted to love this restaurant. In this area, there are two other Thai restaurants. One is fair, the other is good; not great. Thai Kit Chen is in a great location for me, and is new, clean, and inviting. The service is friendly and the presentation is decent. My challenges were, the chairs are narrow and uncomfortable if you are heavier. The stools have a small seating area as well, if you chose the high-top option. The above would have been okay, if I liked the food better. The soup was okay. Piping hot like everything else - very freshly prepared. The hot and sour soup was very gelatinous and didn`t contain the veggies or chicken that other restaurants include. The taste was okay, but not great. I ordered a spring roll and that was tasty, but there, literally, was nearly no filling at all. ..maybe 10%. It was more or less, just the wrapper... I`d try it again, hoping that this was a fluke. The taste was good. Here`s my main issue. The quantity was good, especially for lunch, but the Pad Pak had very little flavor. What flavor it had was tasty, but it was the most bland Thai food that I have ever eaten. Oddly, the spice level was where I wanted it - how they achieved heat without flavor is beyond me. To be fair to them, they are just a month or so old. I may try them again, but I was disappointed on this visit. read more

We just home from picking up our to-go order. My friend had the chicken pad Thai curry and he said it was amazing. Loved it. I got the Bangkok chicken....and sadly it was about the worst I ever had. The chicken was incredibly tough...almost tougher than jerky. Flavor was good, but could not eat the chicken at all. Since my buddy loved his, that's why I'm giving 3 stars. Seriously though, if you get the Bangkok chicken as a carry-out, I would recommend trying it in the parking lot before you drive away. read more

I just wanted to write you all a review to THANK YOU for such a wonderful meal! This was the first place in a long time I ordered food from where everything was outstanding. Everything was fresh and bursting with flavor! I'd recommend one dish but by everything I ordered and how on point it was I can confidently say anything you pick will not only hit the spot but exceed your expectations! I do absolutely recommend adding mixed seafood to your dish as it was all cooked to perfection, even the scallops. I stopped by for a quick bite around lunch time. I ordered a spring roll, after quite a wait. As I waited for my order I heard one of the service people tell the person in front of me that they were remaking their spring rolls, because they had been burned. Right after that, I was told my order was ready. When I got to my car and looked at my order I was dumbstruck. It seemed that the spring roll that was too burnt to serve to the other customer was given to me. The next day I returned and was given apology and a replacement. While I was there I ordered some crab rangoon. This time taking a moment to look at my order before I left, the crab rangoon looked good, but the spring roll looked just about the same. He explained that it was probably a problem with the product itself. The crab rangoon tasted good, but lacked filling. Despite the appearance, the spring roll was tasty although the filling was a little too mushy for my liking. The sauces that accompanied them were very tasty. If you try this location, make sure you check your product while there. read more

Surprised little gem. I wasn't expecting a lot when I ordered drunken noodles. It ended up being a pleasant meal. My order was done in 10 minutes. (No meat). Very tasty and reasonable 9$ and some change. Which seems to be the going rate for a dinner meal now a days. Small little restaurant. Maybe seating for 15 tops. The cashier was friendly and they take both cards and cash. I was super happy that they use wide noodles for the drunken noodles instead of rice noodles. Which is why I gave them a try. I'll spot that the food is relatively good and the spice levels are basically spot-on. Having said that, I was categorically unimpressed on several levels. The problems, though some may consider them minor in and of themselves, do add up quickly, and I found myself thinking, "Well, at least I never have to come back." That's...that's not a good thing for a customer to be thinking. You know, when I'm asking about what I'm ordering, and you *know* that you're out of a certain part or ingredient in said entree that the customer is ordering, there's no shame in saying, "I apologize, but we are out of XXXX today. We can still make it, but it will not have XXXX in there." That would be far, *far* preferable to finding out, after the customer has read the menu and *seen* that said item is included in the dish, after the customer has ordered said entree, after you've *prepared* said entree, after you've *served* said entree, and after the customer has dug through the entire entree looking for said item (which they are definitely looking forward to as it's one of their favorite things in the dish, and they ordered that dish specifically because it had that item in there), that the customer *knows* there isn't any in there, and asks, "Are you out of XXXX today?" And hearing your surprisingly unapologetic response that, yes: you're out of it, and you never bothered to tell your customer that, at any time, until you were DIRECTLY APPROACHED WITH THE ISSUE AFTER THE FACT. Very poor form. Other issues: they don't make their own spring rolls. That's not necessarily a hill to die on for me, but I do know many Thai places that do make their own spring rolls, and I want to see what places can do...not what they can order from other places. So instead, I get the hot-and-sour soup. The hot-and-sour soup, in my opinion, is awful. It's bad enough that I had about 6 spoonfuls of it and threw the rest in the garbage. I've had a bunch of different hot-and-sour soups in my day, and this stuff would be pulling up the rear of the spectrum, for certain. I wouldn't eat it again, even for free. Too, it's very much a carry-out-only-please-thank-you-get-out kind of operation. Yes, they have a modicum of seats available: two two-top tables and one bar stool-type community table. The two two-top tables have chairs that are severely uncomfortable to sit in due to the positioning of the support rods on the left and right sides of them. If you choose that table, you'll be moving to the community table soon, or you'll be uncomfortable. The community table is fine, comfort-wise, with its bar stools. Heaven help you if you want to actually enjoy your meal there, though. All food content is completely boxed and bagged up for transport, even if you're eating it there. There are no plates. There are no serving spoons. The only napkin included is with your plastic silverware. Should you desire to mix your rice in with your entree...well, good luck with that. It's incredibly inconvenient to do so in any real fashion. As well? When I opened up my entree container as carefully as possible, I *still* ended up having sauce from it litter my shirt. There was no good way to cleanly open up the container and save myself from getting hit by the sauce. I just can't endorse this place, even if the entree itself was pretty good (which it was: not great at all, but certainly decent) and the spice level was a spot-on medium (they got that *absolutely* correct). There's too many issues that are both changeable and addressable that make me resistant to go back there. The soup is awful, they don't make their own spring rolls, they don't tell you when they're out of important ingredients...the list goes on. As a last reckoning: it's hardly on the inexpensive side. Lunch was $10 out the door, and that's the last money they'll see from me. I usually spend a dollar or two less for a *whole* lot more, including some terrific hot-and-sour soup from my go-to Thai place, as well as, get this: item XXXX in my entree, which they *always* have. Feel free to patronize them, but if it's less than stellar, don't say you weren't warned. read more

I love this place! Although I admit I get the same thing every time - Pad Thai. My son's leftover pineapple fried rice was also quite good. One thing to be aware of is they tend to go a little heavy on the spice. (In my limited experience.) I'm completely fine with it, but that's why my son's leftover fried rice became mine. So, I would stick with no spice for my kids in the future. The price is average and I do like that if you eat in at lunch you get a free spring roll with it. I usually eat in. The seating area is small - 4 tables. But, I've never had a problem yet. And it's really nice that they have a large ice water container on the counter. It's close to my work so whenever I get a craving for some Pad Thai this is where I go now. read more
