Cold rice with bag peas and carrots along

I wish I'd read the reviews before I went and wasted my money. I got the chicken hibachi and I've never had it before. It was complete trash. Literally. The rice was cold and undercooked, it had frozen peas and carrots along with jar mushrooms mixed in. It was FULL of grease (or butter) then had the nerve to add a butter in the bag. I was told that I had to wait because it was being "prepared fresh" but the rice and broccoli were cold. The only thing lukewarm warm was the chicken. I couldn't eat it. It had a strange smoke smell and it just wasn't good. I rinsed off what I could and fed it to my dogs. They looked at me a little sideways too until I added fresh veggies and meat to it.

It was so much oil and vinegar I had to put it in a bowl

this was by far the worst seafood boil i ever had!!!! it taste like oil and vinegar i spent $73 and im pissed

Came to the location at Fairlane Mall and it was HORRIBLE!!!!! My daughter ordered the salmon bites combo and it was $23...fine. But AFTER we paid and sat down for a while we were told that they didn't have salmon bites had to give us COD! And didn't offer us any type of refund. Salmon and cod are not comparable. Then we were supposed to get a drink. The guy at the front left and didn't give her the drink. Terrible service overall. Will NOT return.

I ordered the ribeye this time but have tried the filet, an chatobriegn a few times and both of those are delicious. My woman loved the scallops. The lobster cargo is amazing as well. They have a nice musician playing good music while there and the feel is an old-timey vibe which is really nice. Made me feel like the Godfather.

Handmade table-side Caesar salad $17 for four servings. Good French onion soup, chops and lobster tail. The sour cream for the baked potato contained fresh cut chive. Delicious. CONS: Weird parking, seating cramped like sardines. Saturday evening dining room was LOUD! Could barely converse. Food is expensive: Tomahawk steak $90+. Ribeye $55+. New York Strip $50+. Most everything was ala carte. Disappointed that the Sander's hot fudge cream puff did not contain hot fudge anywhere near the taste and quality of the old Sanders recipe. Cream puff was stale too. A strong seafood smell permeated the entire restaurant. SUMMARY: Mr. Paul's Chophouse is a REAL restaurant for those special occasions. Total East side. Food is very good but not "great". Eat here for the old school vibe. Kudo's to the owners that keep it going.

Our recent dinner at Streetside Seafood in downtown Birmingham was an unforgettable experience!…read moreNestled on Pierce Street, this intimate spot boasts a cozy, nautical-inspired vibe with exposed brick, soft lighting, and a welcoming bar area, perfect for a romantic evening or special night out. It's upscale yet relaxed, making it feel like a hidden treasure in the heart of the city. For my entree, I chose the Pepper Crusted Filet Mignon with Lobster Tail, and it was sheer perfection! The filet was incredibly tender, with a bold pepper crust and rich port wine mushroom demi-glace, served alongside Brussels sprouts and mashed potatoes. The added lobster tail was succulent and buttery, creating an indulgent surf-and-turf combination that highlighted the freshness and quality of their ingredients. My partner opted for the Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes as her main dish, and they were outstanding, packed with sweet, lump crab meat, lightly breaded for a crispy exterior, and served with house-made tartar sauce and fresh sides. Every bite was flavorful and satisfying, without any unnecessary fillers. The service truly made the evening special; our waitress Chris was amazing! She was attentive, knowledgeable about the menu. Her warm personality and efficiency made us feel welcomed and cared for throughout. While prices are on the premium side, the exceptional quality, portions, and overall experience make it well worth it. If you're in Birmingham craving fresh, creative seafood, Streetside Seafood is the place to go. We'll be returning soon!

Been wanting to try this place for many years and had time to go finally…read more I didn't hate no love it. It was more mid for me. I did enjoy the smoothie with boba. I miss have smoothies/boba drinks made this way. I did like the huge menu because there are so many choices of options. I did like the scallion lobster although it was messy to eat. The flavor reminded me that that canned chop suey I ate as a child. I felt their prices were kind of high for the area. Just my personal option. I wasn't a huge fan of the pho broth, but I didn't hate it either. I'm indifferent bout it. But my noodles were very clumped together and hard to break apart to eat them in the soup. I would have preferred more white onion and not more green in the soup. The meat choice (brisket sliced beef) was ok. The price for the bowl was reasonable. The crab pho was not worth the price. This was over priced I feel. Maybe I would give them another try and try their traditional plates. The chicken quarters looked good and so did the seafood boils. Service was kinda slow. It took about 10 minutes for someone to come to our table and greet us. We got water and then we wait a little more time for a waiter. Overall the service was not bad. Our waiter was pretty cool. Restaurant wasn't dirty but there were some flies buzzing.
