Everything was good, but the pies and those hand-cut fries were the standouts for me. The fries were seriously some of the best I've had at a restaurant.....thick, crispy, and clearly made fresh. The space itself is large but still feels cozy, with plenty of seating, a lounge area, board games, and a laid-back atmosphere that works for both adults and families. I also loved being able to see into the area where they brew their beer on-site. Between the food, house-brewed beer, and relaxed atmosphere, this is definitely a place I'd make the drive back to.

My Bourbon Chicken was really good. In fact, I recommend it. The Rachel was also very good. The sweet potato fries were outstanding. The tots were okay. Regarding accessibility, this is an old building and is rather precarious. I use a cane and noted that there is no railing for the steps outside, or the ones inside to get out to the courtyard (my mom mentioned that my dad, who loses his balance due to a medical condition, had also mentioned this on a previous visit). The bathroom I visited was also tiny, literally a water closet. There is also a rather steep slope in the floor from the lobby room to the dining room. If you use a wheelchair, I don't know that this building would be accessible at all from the exterior. The brewery skews towards German style brewing which again, is pretty typical of a lot of breweries. The location really shines with its outdoor patio. There is a big outdoor area which is very family (and pet) friendly. They often have live music on the weekend. The brewery itself doesn't have any food, but they have rotating food trucks that come in. The day we were there it was a wood fired pizza truck which was pretty good. Everyone in our group had a good time, and I liked the overall vibe. I will note there were a lot of kids (between us our group of our adults had four kids) so keep this in mind if you go. Overall the beer was good, the atmosphere was perfect for the summer, and we enjoyed our time at this spot.

You want your bar to be a little dark when you're drinking with friends and listening to a band on a Saturday night. Mulligan's lighting was slightly brighter than the dining room of your average Applebee's. All of that could be forgiven if you're able to enjoy doing what you come to a bar to do... drink. I was there Saturday with a group of friends... a group of friends who like to drink. We got there just as the band was about to start playing, went up to the bar to get our first round, and waited... and waited... The band finished their first 3 songs before the bartender finally took our order. The drinks came to about $14. We gave her a $20... she never came back with the change. Assuming that we wanted to give her a 40% tip after having to wait so long was a bit presumptuous. But whatever... we didn't make a big deal about it. Just to clarify - the bar was not that busy and there were 2 bartenders ignoring us. (When another friend paid for a few drinks with a $100 bill, she said, "Do you need change back?" Really?) We went back up for the next round, and again... we waited... and waited... Finally, my friend walked up to a waitress at the wait stand and asked her if she could get us 3 beers. She was super sweet - got our beers - and she got a nice tip. Back a the bar again later, we waited and waited again... finally, when my friend actually waved his arms to get the bartender's attention... she acted startled to see us there. It was as if we had materialized out of thin air and she couldn't believe her eyes! Seriously? As I said before, the overall mediocrity of the bar could totally be overlooked if they compensated with a great staff. The single cocktail waitress and the bar-back were the most attentive members of the staff - they were actually pretty great. But I was there with a group of people who LIKE TO DRINK... yet we all walked out at the end of the night completely sober simply because it took so frustratingly long to order each round. On the plus side, we walked out with a lot more cash in our pockets since we weren't able to spend it at the bar.
