They took care of everything - from getting autopsy reports, decorating the reception room and memorial room, providing food, snacks and drinks, setting up guest books, and even making special arrangements for us to come pick out the flowers we wanted to keep and take home with us. The building itself is absolutely beautiful. Plenty of parking outside, and the interior of the reception area and memory room is so comfortable feeling and gorgeous. There is also a sitting room with plush couches and chairs, complete with a fireplace. They have a little gift shop where you can purchase last minute cards, etc. Behind the building, they also have an absolutely stunning back porch area with beautiful tables overlooking an immaculate lawn and garden. They seemed to work flawlessly behind the scenes, making sure all of the flowers got watered properly, working with the autopsy lab and state for death certificates, and assisting/providing with thank you cards. The staff were all extremely friendly, kind, professional, and of course, sympathetic. If a loved one passes away, I highly recommend Craddock Funeral Home. I've never seen a funeral home so organized and beautifully put together.

ITS BEEN 2 YEARS AND 10 MONTHS. And I am still dealing with morons too incompetent to even say "I don't know but I'll find out." Never got an answer to ANY question I had. Everyone who helped us seemed to have such a caring spirit. First, since my sister and I don't live in Sherman, Travis had Keri send us a price list via email. We were able to select most of the options we wanted over the phone with Chad G. He explained the charge for their basic services, then walked me through the charge for each aspect of a simple memorial service. There was never a "hard sell" and even when I had doubts about whether to choose some of the smaller, optional services, he explained why most people like to include them but made it clear the choice was entirely up to me. The day of the funeral they provided easels and help up set up pictures in the entryway. They also provided three pallbearers, since we only had three of our own. Chad came to the burial to make sure everything went well with lowering it into the ground. They offered to pack up our photos while we were at the burial and deliver them to us at the place where we had lunch. And they sent us home with laminated programs, a velvet carrying case for dad's dog tags, and thank-you notes. We were very happy with the minister Chad recommended (my parents didn't have a home church), David Murphy from North Park Baptist. A member of his church even offers to play Taps live at funerals for veterans, since most of the time what's provided by the military is prerecorded. They made the process as easy as possible from beginning to end.
