I cannot recommend these folks highly enough. We have now had two different family members pass away in Denison, and we could not have navigated getting them back home without Mykel, ,and the other competent people at Bratcher. We are from out of state, so someone there needed to know the rules about what is allowed for urns, what is the best way to deal with pre paid insurance policies. Our mom pre paid for a funeral, but ended up changing that to being cremated in the state where she ended up lilving. Mykel was excellent in helping us retrieve all of that money back, and he told us that we can ask for interest on that money. He didn't really have to tell us that, but he did. He contacted them on our behalf. All without a single penny going to Bratcher.
He helped us with the obituary, cropped the pictures, offered to do a slideshow. All things that funeral homes do, but extremely competent, and without the usual Dollar Sign looming over everything.
Then when we tried to create a memorial service at a local church, Mykel and staff literally came to the rescue. The church was unhelpful, and not encouraging at all, even though our mom had been a member. With one week before the scheduled date, Mykeld offered to move the service to the funeral home. He quickly put a notice in the paper, he exchanged numerous emails about it and was so kind about it. These people are here to run a business, but they also are here to serve families.
