Mykel and his staff were so quick to accommodate any of our needs as a family during the sudden loss of our father. Mykel and his team were diligent in making sure that every detail was tended to; he really went the extra mile. When you lose a loved one, challenges immediately exist, Mykel was able to guide us through some of the complicated decisions a family has to make. He promptly went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure we were able to make it through this most difficult and precious time. Mykel made sure that the outdoor funeral we knew my father wanted went off without a hitch (even in the rain). He was succinct in offering us guidance based on his experience with my father with respect to the choice of casket, stationary, and so much more. We highly recommend Bratcher's to anyone looking for help during such a challenging time. Losing loved ones is tough - having a professional team serve in such a delicate capacity helps tremendously. They were very gracious when asked if we could have a few more minutes to be with Mom. Mykel and Brenda helped making arrangements for the funeral as painless as possible. They answered our questions to the fullest, were upfront with the various packages available, and were very patient with us. Visitation and the service were held at Bratcher. I was looking for cremation funeral plans for my oldest brother, and ARMY veteran, who was at the Clyde W. Cosper VA State Home in Bonham, about 45 mintes away. I had all the paperwork and the meeting went really smoothly. Chaz explained everything to me, even when I asked him about having a VETERAN HONOR Service at the National Cematery in Dallas. Chaz took care of everything and removed me from the burden of that task. I felt very comfortable working out all the details of the cremation and funeral plans beforehand. My brother passed on June 7, 2026 at 7pm. The VA State home called American Funeral Services and they were there within the hour to pick up my brother's body. So professional on how that handled removing him from his room to the van outside. Draping an American Flag over his body they wheeled him out in an incredible honor to him. The VA State Home night staff followed us out the building while playing TAPS and....talk about a moment. On Funeral day, Chaz and I planned to meet at the National Cemetary that day. Chaz was very earliy and my brother's remains were laid to rest. I felt so honored and blessed that day.... The staff must have changed since the reviews from ten years ago. My father passed in May; he was…read morean Air Force vet. I ordered him the Government Headstone Marker. I received an email in July from NCA Monument stating the headstone would be to Cedarlawn within 4 to 6 weeks (6 weeks would be September 1st). It has been over two months now, the headstone is still not at my dad's graveside. I have made several attempts in speaking with Jeff and assistant in the status of it being put on my dad's graveside. He blames his staff and tells me he will call me tomorrow. I have yet to receive a call. He also tried to get me to purchase a graveside when I was trying to make arrangements for my father. My thoughts... this is already a difficult time, and it is poor judgement in trying to sell while I am trying to take care of my father's wishes.
