Picked up dry cleaning today. I was told my suit jacket was mistakenly sent to the "other" store. I offered to go pick it up there. My jacket was then magically found and "wasn't sent to the other store". However, they "didn't have time to press it" and get the wrinkles out. I was told that, as the jacket is being put on a hanger and being handed to me. It looked like it had been in the bottom of a box for two days. Then the excuses started rolling. "It's clean", "My back hurts", "I can't finish it today", "It's a mess back there", "I don't know what to tell you, you can take it", "come back tomorrow". Classic Cleaners has the WORST customer service ever! I took my stole to Classic Cleaners to get a stain removed. (My little cousin was playing around and threw soda on it.) They said, "No problem." When I went to pick it up, it wasn't ready, they said, "The lady had another spot to get out of it." That was fine, I'm not wearing it anywhere, just want it to put into a shadow box, so no big hurry. Then, when I went back to pick it up, they handed it to me, I paid and was walking back out to my car when I noticed that a few spots hadn't been touched, so I went back in. I showed them the spots and the lady working called the manager up front (who was who originally checked me out). She says, "Well, the lady tried and it was pulling color from it," and she flipped it over and there was a big ring on it! "So unless you want to sign a release, we aren't touching it again." I told her what I wanted was the stain out, they agreed to perform a service (remove the stain) took my payment and failed to complete the service. She said, "You people come in here after staining something and expect us to scrub on it to remove the stain and we can't always do that. And when we can't you get upset." I replied, "You are correct, I paid for a service so I expected it to happen. You didn't tell me when I paid that you couldn't do it, or that it had been damaged even more, so yeah, I'm upset." She exclaimed, "What do you want me to do about it!?" So I said, "If you can't do the job, I want my money back!" She said, "It isn't fair for someone to use their chemicals trying to get a stain out and not get paid!" As she snatched open the drawer, pulled the money out, and shoved it in my hand, then slammed the register shut and proclaimed, "This will not happen again!" I said, "You're d@mn right about that!" and left. Also, they will not do extra heavy starch. If you request it, they don't tell you they don't do it, and when you pick up your item you are left with a lightly starched item (this is useless for the cowboy shirts and jeans my husband wears). read more
