This is their "professional" diagnostic they ran. I had to ask for a reprint with the synopsis, they did not initially include it. $400

I went to Kirby's to fix my overheating engine due to a coolant leak. They ran a diagnostic on my Jeep and said that they were going to find the leak and fix it. I got a call back the next day when they said they had a chance to look at it and they said "bad news, there is a leak in the driver side head gasket. Between parts and labor the fix will be around $11,000." I was in disbelief, my Jeep does not even have 80k miles on it. They told me it would be around the same price to get a whole new engine rather than fixing the existing one. Me being inexperienced with cars, I thought that this was the end for my Jeep. Realizing my frustration over the phone, the owners son mentioned that his dad might be willing to buy the Jeep off of me. THIS was the red flag that pushed me to ask around and see if anyone knew of a good mechanic. After talking to friends and family I found a mechanic who said that based on what the diagnostic said, things were not adding up. Long story short, I get the Jeep towed to the new mechanic and he runs his own analysis, located the leak, and repaired it for me for $1,800. A FRACTION of the cost. In short, if you don't know much about cars and want to find a trustworthy mechanic. DO NOT start your search here at Kirby's. They are not good or honest mechanics. Below I have attached the completely bogus diagnostic that the ran which they charged me $400 for. 0/10

Fantastic service, easy to deal with and they know their stuff. They turned on old POS Truck into a fine tuned machine.

I know many of us have places we take are cars and many of them are amazing. However, if you are ever needing or looking for an honest, reputable repair shop (that is veteran owned) then Grassland is amazing. Just had my car there for two days and when I came to pick it up he just said thanks for your business. "No charge. We didn't have to use any parts. Have a great weekend." They are awesome.

Simple fix, right? Should have been flagged as a priority -- a bad battery affects nearly every system in the car. Instead, it got lost in the noise of their bloated report. I didn't catch it until a couple weeks later when the problem persisted. Went back to get just the battery replaced and was charged over $600. For a battery. That was quoted at $129 in their own report. When I questioned it, the owner was dismissive, condescending, and completely unapologetic. No explanation, no accountability -- just attitude. Here's my warning to anyone considering this place: Eric Eagleson has zero interest in being fair or transparent. He and Jeff see customers, particularly women who may not have a mechanical background as easy targets rather than people deserving of honest service. That's not just bad business, it's predatory. Get a second opinion before authorizing any work here. Better yet, find a shop where the owner actually respects the people walking through the door. -A customer who won't be back

That being said, I have never worked with a nicer, more knowledgeable group of men in my life. They were able to offer me a very reasonable price for repairing the transmission in my 1967 Ford F 250. Tony recognized the transmission immediately, was able to diagnose the problem and ev en offered to tune my engine as part of the price. I had recently had it tuned at another shop, but when he went in there he found they had the timing of the spark plugs wrong. The work was done quickly and communications were great. I would highly recommend Ace's as a great place for transmission work and engine repair
