Great food! The spicy ramen is TRULY spicy, tread carefully. Their milk tea is great but the bubbles are a hit or miss.

Love love love it here. So happy that Kinzen opened right around the corner from us and has now become one of our favorite go-to places for takeout and we even put on real pants to eat in as well! The fact that they have vegetarian versions of everything on the menu is a miracle that I am absolutely here for! We almost always order the yasai gyoza and the yasai ramen with very little changes. I did get the vegetable bun once and that was also delicious. Sat down with my son and they only gave us only one menu, no water, no utensils. Brought us water after about 10 minutes and I told the server we were ready to order. She did not take our order and stepped away. Waited another 5+ minutes and eventually had to get up to request someone to take our order. Was very clear in ordering gyoza, hot green tea, a spicy miso ramen with egg for myself and a pork ramen with only pork and no other toppings for my son. Brought us out gyoza appetizer, did not provide utensils. After 5+ minutes had to get up to ask them to bring us utensils, gyoza was cold when we finally tried it. When our order arrived they brought us the wrong items - a spicy miso ramen with no toppings and nothing for my son. I indicated the food was wrong and repeated our original order - spicy miso ramen with an egg added, plain pork ramen with no toppings for my son. A second server came back with the same spicy miso ramen with no toppings and a bowel of plain noodles without broth for my son. No one ever brought the hot green tea. I stopped by Kinzen for an early dinner recently, which is located in the RK Plaza in Marlborough. This cozy eatery offers full service dine-in or takeout serving up mainly ramen soups and a few Japanese dishes and appetizers. I decided to eat in and I quickly reviewed the menu choices. I went with the Tonkatsu Ramen ($15.95) - Noodles, Pork broth, chashu pork (marinated braised pork belly), menma (Japanese bamboo), wood ear mushroom, scallion and black garlic oil. The food came out hot and fresh in about 10 minutes. This ramen bowl had a good hearty flavor pork broth with firm wider ramen noodles and the pork slices were soft and tender. I finished up the entire soup bowl which was just enough for dinner. The service was prompt since I was the only customer in the place early afternoon. I was also hearing popular music with cover singers played over the speakers. Overall, Kinzen was very good. read more

What a disappointment! Had been meaning to try this place so yesterday on seeing all the positive reviews decided to order the Lava Ramen. I think the cook in the kitchen was not having the best of days it was flavourless, no salt and the broth was eh! They said they didn't scallops so would put in extra shrimps normally it comes with 3 so they 1 extra. I did call them about it but all they did was laugh and said what do u want me to do. Paid $23 for the dish and ended up dumping it. The mussels and shrimp were clearly taken from freezer to pan. No flavour to them whatsoever. Btw I am a former owner of 3 restaurants and was the chef in them! Will definitely not waste my money there again! read more

It's a really cute, small place across the Apex Center. The ramen was super yummy and filling! I got the tonkotsu ramen which had such a rich creamy flavor. I also got the Thai tea that was really refreshing. Keep in mind that it may take a little longer to get some orders going if it gets busy. read more

We did not know this restaurant was there, but I am so glad we found it. It is beautiful and cozy inside with some of the best ramen I have found in this area. I ordered the TomTom spicy ramen and added a soft boiled egg. The broth hits you in the back of the throat in a surprising way that was shocking, but in a good way. Once you get over the initial heat you can really explore all the flavor levels that you are experiencing. Warm you to your soul good. Visiting my family in the 'borough brought us here. We were actually going to grab five guys, and we saw Kinzen next door! Oh my I'm so glad we ate here instead! Outstanding ramen in an unassuming strip mall location. I had the tonkatsu ramen and my teenage son had the shoyu ramen. Both were excellent. The cha shu pork was excellent, and the broths were delicious. I rarely drink the broth, but felt compelled to, it was that tasty. The noodles were fairly typical in texture, it was the broth and the meat (and quick service) that stood out. I didn't try any appetizers, but I had a green tea and my son liked his Thai iced tea with boba. Service was quick and attentive.
