If you love stationery, journaling, or planners, this place is such a great place. They have a great variety of pens, notebooks, stickers, and thoughtful little gifts, and I was especially excited to see that they even carry Hobonichi. Everything feels well curated and high quality, not overwhelming, just really fun to browse. The store itself is bright, clean, and inspiring, and the staff has always been friendly and welcoming. Whether you're into journaling, planning, or just want a unique gift, Maido is definitely worth stopping into. There was not much stafff around helping, I think only two people and they were both at the cash register, they weren't too talkative and didnt ask if we needed help, but im sure they would have if we asked, we just werent approached. Maybe they were short staffed that day.

The store is not big but fully packed. Very organized. We don't have too many gift store like this in the west bay . The store location is right by Vally fair mall , West San Jose . Many customers and quite popular. Parking is not easy if you come in the weekend . There are couple paid parking structures in the same area. I usually either come on the weekdays or Saturday morning to avoid the crowds.

They even had a beautiful Eiffel Tower that lights up and a functional pinball machine that lights up and makes sounds. I got to play with one while in the store, and it was so fun. These items are for all ages. They would make a great gift for a child or an adult. The store employee, Natalie, was kind and welcoming. She answered a lot of my questions and encouraged me to play with the pinball machine. She explained that these miniature scenes are like model kits that are ideal for people seeking a mindful activity to reduce stress and enjoy some quiet time. Perfect for solo crafting or a fun DIY project. Each scene is so detailed and intricate. And there are so many different ones to pick from. It was mesmerizing. I really enjoyed this unique store and also purchased a DIY project for myself for $19.99. I look forward to starting my puzzle.

Not your normal square or rectangle puzzle, but an actual cat head. I managed to finish the puzzle with some help and was so excited about finishing it! We went to the mall the following day to see if I could get a picture frame for my cat king puzzle but they weren't available. So I looked around and I must've looked like a kid in a candy store. I wanted everything. I grabbed almost everything but then I stopped myself and ended up leaving with the miniature bookstore and green house models. I'm not sure if $42 is a lot for something like this but i'll gladly pay whatever prices they are because this has been one of the best decision I have made for 2026. It gives me something to do that exercises my mind and keeps me occupied and I love it. A friendly reminder, you much better patience because it can get stressful. Especially if you're new to this. About to finish my miniature bookstore and will start my green house, then back to Rolife for more!!

This review is specifically for their custom framing department…read more My husband and I got married in New Orleans and purchased a print by a local artist during our wedding weekend. I finally got around to framing it and went to the Michaels location off Coleman. I was thinking that I could get a frame off their shelves, but I quickly realized that the poster had uncommon dimensions. I had no choice but to get a custom frame for it. I was assisted by a young gentleman, who was very friendly and helpful. I'm the worst when it comes to making decisions. I have to analyze every little thing, and then I get stuck in analysis paralysis. The associate was so patient with me, and he didn't rush me through the process. I also feel like he didn't limit me on variations of frame colors and matboard. He brought out everything to ensure that I had considered all my options. I relied heavily on his guidance and settled on an elegant thin silver frame with a blue mat. I called Michael's a week after the expected due date and was informed that it would be ready the following day. I was glad to see that the gentleman who helped me with my custom frame was the same person checking out my product. He carefully laid the framed print out, and I was stunned by how amazingly cohesive the frame and matting looked with the overall print. It was honestly perfect. This was my first custom frame job EVER - not just from Michael's. I was so pleased with their customer care and execution that I would not hesitate to go to Michaels Coleman custom framers!

They had heart shaped silicon molds for making cupcakes, stickers, gift bags and decor. They also had valentine hair accessories. I found a cute hair clip that I wanted to purchase. All the valentines items were 40% off, which was a great deal. There was a small section of St. Patrick's Day items, as well. At the checkout you have the option for self checkout or checkout with an employee. There was a customer being helped at a register and two were checking out at the self checkout. An employee directed me to an available self checkout which worked out great. I was in and out of there within 15 minutes total. I really love that they offer self checkout. I remember in the past when you'd have to wait in a crazy long line with only two registers open. The self checkout eliminates this long wait. It makes the shopping experience so much better.

She then showed us how to use the tufting gun. She also let us borrow a speaker to play music while we worked on our rug. It was a really fun experience. It's great for beginners. Contacting via email with the team was seamless when asking for a discounted price and ensuring our reservation was confirmed. Going in meeting our instructor, Jamie, was great. She was very chill & let our creativity speak. She was very helpful when it came to teaching and explaining. Her lamps were super cute ! The lamp making itself is worth the cost, you come out with a beautiful piece of art that you created. Once you turn the light on the design looks amazing, even if you originally think differently ! As for the minor improvements. We had to call to figure out how to get in. They said they we should have gotten an email about how to enter, but we did not. The other party that came in also didn't get instructions. So we walked the whole square. Entrance will be the gate closest to the main parking lot, on your right. Ask the staff for the code before going in. Also, DO NOT park in that parking lot or you will be towed. The signs were so small, we didn't know but Jamie informed us. Plenty of street parking ! Last, no Turkish coffee or sweets were offered though it said they were on the website. Not a huge deal breaker, but just don't advertise it. Other than that, great experience. Would come back to try a different craft event !!!

Not ideal because the stations for rug making are not spaced out enough to accommodate multiple parties of 2-3 going at once if you are seated where people can sit behind you. The people at the end don't have to worry about getting too close to someone tufting behind them the way we did. We came in early for a 10 am and spent our first hour in there alone. Once other parties showed up, it was crowded. Workers had to place projectors at odd angles so that the new parties could trace their work while those already working could continue their rugs. We did not find instruction to be the best. It honestly felt like we were bothering the workers by being there and they seemed annoyed when we needed things like scissors. Trust me that we wouldnt have bothered them if they had just told us where we could find it all ourselves. They also didnt share that the rug itself if made from them shaving down the threads. So the side you stitch isnt the final product. We figured this out on our own and we were glad we did because it let us relax from thinking our lines had to be perfect. A tip I have to share is to outline the things you want to stand out. Otherwise, the threads will blend together. I held the gun a little too hard and it was sore by the time we were done. It was a bit hectic by then so we had to wait a while for someone to take our rug to shave it down. This is also something super important to consider. If you come when it's busy, itll take them longer to shave your rug down. It took them 30 min for ours so we walked around the mall while we waited but when we came back, the pile of rugs waiting to get picked up and shaved had grown from 2-4 to a stacked pile of at least 3 ft. We got lucky that we spent our first hour of our three hour session there nearly alone. We did medium sized rugs. There is a holding fee of about $45 and then I think I paid about $200 in store. It would be nice if the rug held up better but that might be better left to professionals. This is more novelty and I don't think I recommend actually using it. It sheds a lot when you do and even more when you wash it. Overall, I do recommend this experience. It was fun and you do get a cute rug as a souvenir of the experience.
