So a few of my friends/ coworkers recommended that I try this place but once my BFF said you have to go I knew it was something special!! Omg the food is amazing , well seasoned and plentiful. The staff seemed very friendly and the establishment is clean , which means a lot . So if you're looking for a good Caribbean spot please give them a try !

This place went downhill, I used to come here all the time since 2019 and decided to order today. The Mac and cheese have gotten salty and it's too much damn grease . The curry chicken I've always gotten from here has been spicy, but sadly today it was not spicy and I didn't taste the same I am sad, they must have new Staff/Cook or something.

Worst service ever plus they place their own orders thru instacart and make the drivers get a lot of stuff for Pennies!!! Never would I go there again

Great good, bad customer service and a very long wait in the hood. While standing outside waiting on out food a fight broke out. They need a second location with parking or at least in a better neighborhood. The wait and customer service took away from the experience. The food was delicious.

My dear Kingston 11 Philly, how I adore you! The jerk chicken is fire, the pepper steak is fire, oxtail is fire, jerk salmon is fire, the bourbon turkey wings (special menu item) is fire! I have yet to taste something here I don't like. My family hails from Antigua and they know the food is the real deal just from the PICTURES ALONE!!!! This is the best Jamaican local joint in Philly and I may even push it further to say the best on the east coast. TO FELLOW CUSTOMERS - This is a VERY popular location. You need to call in your order 30 minutes ahead of time or try to reach out via IG. This is not a location you can just pop into and hope your food choice will be available. Be smart and order ahead! Cheers!!!

Lawd Have Mercy!!!!!!!! That's how I have to start this review. My grandma and I drove 40 mins to try Kingston 11 today. When I say the food was AH-MA-ZING, I mean it! My oxtails, rice, peas and cabbage is one of the best entrees I have tasted in a long time(and I have eaten my share of oxtails, rice & peas)! The flavor of the oxtails was soulful along with the well-seasoned cabbage. My grandma said her oxtails, mac n cheese, and collard greens were fantastic. Now, I wish I left with a few more platters for the week. No worries, cuz just like The Terminator, "I'll be back!"

Oxtails taste sweet and needed salt and the right base for the sauce..was lacking the appropriate flavor profile. The rice tasted like basmati which is cool for Indian cuisines but usually with dishes like Oxtails or Jerk Chicken I'd expect red beans and white grain rice cooked in coconut milk for the flavor profile. Mussels are delicious, they just don't give you a lot of them if you go during any of their prefixed menu offerings. Coconut shrimp are good. Carrot cake was one of the best I've tasted in a long time. Even if your not a fan of carrot cake I think you'll enjoy. There weren't big chunks of fruit or nuts inside. It was layered, fluffy, moist, cream cheese icing spot on, just really spot on. I could have ordered a cake to go and left the food. Drinks are pricey for what you get in return. Some of the drinks are watered down, like their "Sex on the Boat." They give it to you in this cute boat shaped dish with a straw with flashing lights (photo/vid attached) but there's a ton of ice and not much alcohol or flavor. You also have to wait for your entire party before ordering appetizers. Very strange to me. Most places will allow you to order drinks and appetizers while you wait for the rest of your party. Also be mindful that there's an 18% charge for credit card. If that bothers you be prepared to bring cash. They typically will only allow you to split the check two ways so for larger parties it's best to bring cash to avoid confusion when everyone is paying for themselves.

So my brother and I decided to head over to see if what I heard was true. I'm happy to report, it was very very good! Some things to note: They take cash only. They have an ATM inside just in case, but make sure you have cash only you before you go. Make sure you pay attention when traveling to this establishment, as there are many intersections, one way streets, and streets that go from two to one lane. Also, there may be someone who will ask you to get them some food. Once we parked the car, we heard the reggae music coming from their front door. You can't miss it. The menu is on the wall, as well as being taped down to the counter by the order window. If they're out of something they will let you know before you order. When I went they were out of oxtail (a highly sought after dish in Caribbean cuisine). I had the jerk chicken with collard greens, white rice, and macaroni and cheese. My brother ordered the fried whiting, but I guess she didn't hear him correctly (trust me the music there is quite loud inside even though it's even louder outside), because he got the same thing I did. Now, we drove home, the car smelling amazing, and I forgot to take some photos for this review. But even so, I will definitely be back.
