The teeny tiny town was about a mile away and had a couple pubs which was surprising considering most towns in Ireland have the streets dotted with pubs. The hotel and locals said go to The Magpie and we did and had a great meal. The portions were humongous and we ordered way too much food. Of course we had to try the local version of the seafood chowder which did not disappoint as it was loaded with tons of seafood. We also got a seafood linguine. When you're surrounded by the ocean you always go for seafood! At least we do.

The restaurant has a great view of the intersection and the shops looking towards Dalkey Castle. Inside it was clean and spacious as the tables were spaced apart to feel not close.
