I saw at least one round of shooters going by to a table of older folks, lol! If you have an aversion to loud places, try the outdoor seats or maybe wear Loops or other such gear. It is a pub, but kids are allowed until 9pm. As for the food, we just ordered the calamari and the wings (salt & pepper as the hubby can't eat chilies). We were really surprised at how good they both were. The calamari had a thin, crispy coating that wasn't too greasy. The wings were properly and fully cooked without being overcooked. So many busy pubs serve half raw wings, so I was really pleased with the wings. Also, I thought the chicken was of good quality, not something I usually notice with this dish.

Since they are brand new, it appears they are still doing lots of training with every server paired up and learning on the job. This resulted in the appearance of overstaffing in an almost empty restaurant (we dropped by at a weird time) but I'm sure they'll work out their staffing schedule soon.

A waitress who was not even ours made it her mission to find a water bowl for the dogs. Our waitress was just so pleasant and kept checking in on us. We asked about dog friendly places for the dogs to get wet. She brought us back the other waitress that got us the water. She knew right where to take our dogs and should work for the visitors center with all her knowledge! And all with such a nice smile too. It came with Focaccia bread and balsamic vinegar for dipping. The bread was very good, especially paired with balsamic vinegar. The entrée, however, I did not enjoy very much. The white cream sauce lacked flavour and consistency, the pasta tasted like rubber and the shrimp (prawns) are overall average at best. The service was very good, and the establishment seemed clean and nice-looking in its countenance. I do not know if it was what I ordered or something else that was wrong. However, it will be a while before I try Frankie's Italian again.
