I'm not one to write negative reviews without reason. Especially during COVID - I know businesses are struggling. However, this was particularly egregious. I came here for a manicure and pedicure on December 13, 2020. The service wasn't great, but that isn't what instigated this review. What bothered me is the lady directed me to the manicure station, after my pedicure. When I sat down, there were dirty tools spread across the table. The nail clipper and cuticle cutter clearly had remnants from the last person they were used on. I pointed this out to the lady - she just wiped the cuticle cutter and still used it - despite my protest. She didn't even pretend to get a freshly cleaned set. In hindsight I should've just walked out. It was incredibly unhygienic. The tools should be sanitized after each use even during normal times - this is particularly inexcusable during COVID. read more

Came in with my sister just a few minutes ago they told us it will be an hour wait we waited for over an hour. I got a full set and it took him literally about 20 minutes to finish my nails he was rushing way to fast. I asked for an almond shape and it was more stiletto than anything. I had to go home and take the sharp tip off my self, not to mention all of them look like they are going in different directions. And also as we were waiting they had other people coming in and they said they were not taking anymore people and then as soon as another customer comes in that they knew they helped them right away. Since I didn't have an appointment, the luck of the draw gave me Ann. I hit the jackpot! My sister and I went to get cheap pedicures and they raised their prices and it did not end up being cheap. I expected to pay $37 bc i wanted gel with my pedicure and they raised the price for gel up to $10 extra. that is an absurd amount for gel polish. they also charged my sister extra because she was doing two different colors. no designs just different colors and they are charging extra. i do not recommend going here. they are sneaky and it is not worth it. read more

I did not get the service I paid for. I got an operator that finished my pedicure in 20 minutes flat. Other women sitting in the salon before I walked in and in the middle of getting a pedicure were still there when this woman was done with me. She charged me 30.00, no massage, no sugar scrub. She literally just cut my nails, took off some callus from the bottom of my feet and then rinsed me off and colored my nails. As I watched all the others get long massages and scrubs. I felt "cheated" and I won't be back. She was just in too big a hurry! So disappointing after having to wait so long for a service that I enjoy. read more

If I could give less then 1 I would, I Broke a Nail while in town visiting family from San Diego. I needed a repair, and my sisters wanted to get pedicures. My nails are fairly simple coffin shape, no color, clear, acrylic. I needed the " bandaid" fix, I had damaged my natural nail and wanted to protect it until I could get home to my nail tech. I wasn't prepared for how horrible it would be, my nail looked like it was curling upwards and the acrylic was so thick, imagine 2 quarters stacked together that was the tip of my nail, the very top of my nail was even worse, there was what looked like a giant air pocket In The center of my nail... it was a $5 fix you get what you pay for but I know if I was going in for a full set and this was the quality I received I'd be angry. If you value your nails do not go here. Now for the pedicure, pretty hard to mess up a basic pedicure not worth $50 though, it felt rushed my water was cold even after requesting it be made hotter I got a simple French tip lines are uneven and don't go from edge to edge of my nail. My first visit to # 1 Nails was March 17th. My adult daughter was with me, we both got a basic pedicure, with gel. I paid $74 and left a $10 tip. I love gel because it lasts for months. The service was great they were very fast I was out in 25 minutes. On March 19th I took a plane from Vegas to Salt Lake City, to visit with my daughter and newborn grandson. Sunday the 20th of March, I looked down at my toe nails and two gel nails had popped off. There was not much I could do at the moment since I was over 400 miles away. I returned home on Sunday March 27th, by this time most of my gel had popped off, except for three toes. Monday the 28th was a recovery day from all the traveling I had done. Tuesday the 29th I had to get caught up on all my responsibilities. Wednesday the 30th I called #1 Nails. I asked to speak to a manager or the owner, the lady said, "how can I help you". I explained the situation of my toe nails, and my vacation. She was very accusatory. Saying why did I wait so long to come in. She also told me usually at the two week mark they don't fix a mistake. I tried to explain to her I was out of town and far away.  She told me to come in and they would take care of it. I went in Wednesday, March 30th around noon. I approached an older lady at the counter, I explained that I had just called about my gel toenails. She asked me which one of the workers did my toes, mind you the nail salon was full of customers. It was very embarrassing, and I felt it was very rude to her employees. I was thinking in my head why does it matter who did it, just take care of the issue. She kept pressing for me to pick out somebody. I knew it was a young woman but it was the first time being at that salon. I've never seen any of these people before in my life, 13 days had passed so I wasn't 100% sure which one it was. I said, "I think it's the lady at the end in the light pink shirt, but I'm not 100% sure." The older lady told me to pick out my color. She then went over to the younger lady in the light pink shirt. Said some things, in a different language, that I was unable to understand. I had picked out my color, and the older lady came back over to me. Once again she was loud and accusatory.  Saying, " I don't know why you waited almost 2 weeks!" In my head I'm thinking seriously I've explained it several times! I then became very upset and met her tone and explained I was out of town and over 400 miles away. She was pointing for me to sit down. At this point I didn't feel comfortable having them fix my toenails nor did I feel comfortable being in the salon, so I left. This was the worst experience I've ever had, I will never go back there. I think as a business owner, your responsibility is to the customer, and I don't understand why any employer reprimands their employees in front of customers! I spent almost $50 getting my toenails done that lasted for 3 days. I've had pedicures with gel for the last 5 years, from different salons. I've never had any pop-off, they usually last for 3 sometimes 4 months. Stay clear of this salon! read more

I decided to go in for my nails the last gentlemen did a great job well I guess he was off or didn't work there anymore. This time I got some other guy no complaint usually the guys are particular. He was at first then it turned into him repeatedly watching the clock because it was an hour until closing time. Now I can tell he is rushing. I wanted the mood changing nail polish the temperature one well somehow it's not even working kinda pissed about that. That's nothing compared to the fact that I currently have one hand the nails are shorter than the other and a bubble that he noticed at the end but tried to cover it up with more top coat. I rarely have to wait to get a pedicure. Pedicure lasts for 3-4 weeks until the grow out is too much. It's very affordable and the staff are nice. I mostly go to zone out because mom life can be pretty rough with littles needing you all day. This is my new spot for me time or girls night! read more

Had appointment at 11am for pedi for me and friend......had to wait for 20 minutes to get taken back. The water was luke warm, they didn't run the spa in the tub. Once my service started, I was advised that I would be paying $5.00 extra because I wanted a liner in the tub, they is a rip off to charge that for sanitary reasons. No other salon that I have ever been to charges for the liners. The technician just ran through the massage very quickly and so light, it was like she was just putting very cold lotion on my skin, my friends service was the same with another technician. I did not feel relaxed, nor did it feel good. We went to the wall that said "gel polish" picked out our colors, once they started painting, we realized that our feet were not even being put under the light machine to cure, we asked, she said that in the package is the gel and non gel polish, umm, then they should be sure to ask the customer if they want regular or gel since the color was on the Gel wall. I have had many pedi's at various salons in various states, by far, this is the worse one I have ever had, I wont be back. read more

I haven't gotten my nails done here in Kingman yet and I was nervous at first but everyone here is very nice. I was a walk in and the place looks ok and my nails turned out nice. I got a gel manicure for about 20 buck and they had a nice smooth finish. My only complaints would be that my nails are bit far from the actual beginning of the nail. The last complaint would be my friends nails turned out bad, she got a nude gel manicure and the lady who did it made them really messy. If I go back I will definitely not go to her. read more

I have frequented this nail salon many times and go back frequently because of the quality of their service. It is quite busy, but I try to pick a time when I think they will be less busy. Going in of an evening or weekend could be a problem, I suppose. Possibly from people being off work or just getting off work. I always go knowing if they are swamped, I'll go back another time since I have that option. Angel does take appointments, but don't expect her to take you immediately because she could be finishing up another person. You may have a short wait. I wish people would tell them about their experience instead of feeling the need to post a negative review without expressing their dissatisfaction. DO NOT GO HERE. This was the first time I ever asked the person to redo my nails.And even when they were Redone they still were ugly. I got dip powder nails with added nail tips. The first person did them and I wish I took a picture because they looked like I dipped my hand in a bucket of paint and then just wiped off around the edges with a paper towel. They were soooooo thick and uneven and more like fan shaped than a square. The guy was going to let me leave with them and I could not bring myself to pay even a dime for those nails. So I asked them to redo my nails for the first time in my entire life and the person at first gave me attitude and then thankfully let someone else do my nails instead. The second person was like 40% better. When she did them you could see where there was a divot in my nail where the real nail ended and the fake nail tip started. She put a gel top coat on top and I paid and left cause I wanted to get out of there. The very NEXT DAY the clear top coat chipped off. I was so mad I did not want to go back and I never will. The people need to get retrained on what acceptable nails look like. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I wish I could give it a -5 stars. read more

My only complaint is the the polish is slightly thicker on some spots on my nails, but t is not blotchy or anything. It was quick, professionally, and the price was awesome, $22! Nail tech walked off halfway through doing my nails to take a phone call. Didn't really shape my nails, polish color seemed watered down, station was covered in acrylic dust. I left around 3pm and went to bed over six hours later and woke up with bedsheet lint stuck to my nails the next morning. Two days later, nails are uneven and starting to flake. Worst experience ever!!! Went for a simple pedicure, sat in the pedicure chair waiting to be tended to. I had to ask to have the water warmed 3 times while I sat and waited. the older lady finally came to do my pedi but was rushing through it she did not even bother to push my cuticles back and when I asked she rolled her eyes and started speaking in her native language, Didn't clean under my nails, had to ask her to do that as well. When it came to the polish, it was striped and my cuticles were polished too!! When she was supposedly done, I asked her if she could clean the polish off my cuticles, she threw my shoes down and said where. I went to this place cause I am new to the area and read the reviews. The guy who does nails as soon as you walk in, did a horrible hatchet job on my nails. They were crooked, some thin and horribly shaped, some shorter than others etc. When I told him about them, he caught an attitude like it was my fault that he sucked!!! Pride of ownership is elusive. The place was cluttered and dilapidated. There was no evidence of sanitation such as a plastic basin cover. The technician coughed and hacked throughout my pedicure.
