First time at Lux Nails. First thing I thought walking in was wow it smells good in here. You can only come in by appointment which is appreciated because I have been to many nail salons. Where I've made an appointment and was still sitting there waiting over an hour. The appointment system online is simple. (Also appointments are necessary for myself, having kids and all.) In the appointment system, You can choose who does your nails. And what needs to be done. I chose Annie, she was very nice. As well as her husband and daughter. And they're very informative in the products they use. I noticed there was no strong acrylic smell which is pretty great being pregnant. Acrylic products aren't used at this salon. Gel, and gel x which is healthier for your nails......overall I am satisfied with my nails. And the service I got. Also I have to mention the nail techs make conversation with you. I've been to salons where I feel sometimes I was being talked about in there own language (we all know how that feels) Or that the entire conversations at the salon are in a different language I feel that's rude when I come and spend good money to treat myself. Idk what I had less time for today; a pedicure that i cancelled 4 days ago, or Lux nails' bullshit. My grandmother called me from the salon in real time to allow me to over hear the owner of the salon, Annie, talking shit about me over an appointment error (their own.) I've witnessed clients nearly walk out because of how poorly they were being treated( the staff calling a clients vacation destination ghetto.) Twice I've showed up to my appointment and had to wait AT LEAST 30 min, one time having to go home and come back later; I now understand that you only value your own time. Don't move around my appointment time week after week without asking me, only TELLING me via text, then have the audacity to complain about a scheduling error(which btw is also their fault because Kristine booked the appointment in the salon herself. Check the cameras.) Be professional. Grow up. The appointment is nuance at this point, leave my name out of your mouth; that behavior is crazy and wildly inappropriate. read more

Tried to make an appointment for my fiancé and I to get mani/pedis right before our wedding. Instead of the business calling me to clarify why it appears I double booked a mani/pedi I got a rude call asking me "what's going on ... you take the whole day". The voicemail left spoke volumes on the unprofessionalism the other reviews warned about. I should have listened to those and not even tried to book an appointment. These people obviously care more about being rude than making money. Do not recommend and will avoid! Below is the transcription from the voicemail. I've been a customer with this salon for two years. I love the friendly atmosphere, amazing products, and the cleanliness of the salon is beyond anything I've ever experienced. Annie, Kristine, and Johnny are always happy to see you, and I've enjoyed our chats during appointments. I also love the scheduling system. It is so much easier as a busy mom to log in and schedule exactly what I need and want in advance. It is another of my favorite aspects of the salon. I went to have my nails done and they said my granddaughter canceled the appointment. It was a mix up she wanted to cancel her pedicure appointment but my nail appointment was canceled instead. Annie was running her mouth to other about the whole situation. She was really bad mouthing my granddaughter. I told her to stop but she kept going. If I could do a negative rating I would. Annie - rescheduled my apt and when I got there blamed me for being late - then continued to say it was my fault and I was out of town when I scheduled - I told them I wasn't. Then continued to tell me I was wrong. So I rescheduled it in person for 2 days later and guess what she rescheduled it again for a half hour earlier the same day. Worse yet she charged us the $25 no show fee 2x! Thats when I started doing some research and realized it was Annie that was doing it. This place is fantastic. It is like an NYC style salon in Kingman. Just moved here from NYC and I was so impressed. These ladies are clean and everything is well sanitized. The decor is relaxing and so classy. It makes you feel like you left small town Arizona and went to a fancy big city salon. Many options for nail colors and types of pedicures. They have a mani-pedi combo which is well priced. You also get a complimentary beverage which is amazing. Especially love their cute little drink station at the back of the salon. I saw one person who gave this place a bad review... sounds like hearsay, and I don't even think HE has been to the place. Overall, lovely nail salon. Trust me- you want a good Asian nail salon like this. 5 stars for blowing me away. Pro tip: cash tips are preferred. Update: went back with a friend who absolutely loved the place. Consistent, high quality and great pampering. This time I did the Luxury pedicure and the hot stone massage was so relaxing. I just moved here from Colorado, I had a wonderful nail lady back in Colorado who did my nails for over 5 years. I miss Helen at Q-Nails . I have been to 3 other nail places and they were all disappointment!!!So I was lucky enough to get an appointment because of a cancellation. This place was great! Everything was clean, the staff were wearing masks, and they offer a free drink with your service. My nail tech did upsell me on my pedicure just a bit (offering me gel instead of regular nail polish) but it wasn't that much more expensive (I think about $10?) and it lasted SO long. They have a ton of options for nail color, the pedicure I had was well-done and relaxing, and I would definitely recommend a visit! read more

I love this place, they have a great selection of pedicures and manicures accompanied by a drink of choice, mine has been the mango Moscato, however the recent change has got me a bit baffled to where I'm going to find somewhere else to get my nails and pedi done. The only way to make an appointment is through Facebook, then click on a link and then pick what you want, your date and time but then you have to provide a credit card for a $25 deposit. Yes the $25 deposit is not charged to your credit card unless you do not show up for your appointment. For goodness sake's I'm not booking a hotel room or an airplane ticket and don't feel that I should be providing a credit card to anybody through Facebook. Yes this place is by appointment only, no walk-ins are excepted, but things happen where people miss their appointments but to get charged a $25 fee for missing your appointment, sorry not acceptable in my book, missed appointments are part of running a business. And on top of that they close Saturdays and Sundays so unless you're retired or work nights you're not going to be able to get an appointment here, along with gel only polish, what if I don't want gel- I have no choice. This is a high price salon, close Saturdays and Sundays, and you have to have a credit card to book with them, this is not Beverly Hills. Good luck Johnny and Annie I'm gonna miss my mango Moscato. She was ready for me on time, told me about their services, asked me to let her know if anything hurt and, she did a great job on my nails. I will definitely try their pedicure next time. My experience was so so, The facility is beautiful I like how clean it is, alone with the options for their pedicures, but the owners daughter has much to learn when dealing with the public. I made an appointment for my daughter and I to get pedicures but they overbooked our appointments. No one called to reschedule even though the man who made our appointment took our phone number. So it was a trip there for nothing. They had no spots for us. Apparently they take walk ins over appointments. The guy I spoke with was super unprofessional and basically said he didn't have enough time to call me to cancel because he was busy. It's depressing. Everyone is really very nice. Good job on my pedicure. But I did have a problem with them and my Service Dog. At first they didn't want him inside, then they wanted him to stay at the front of the shop and it wasn't until I showed him the ADA laws regarding Service Dogs, that he finally understand that you do not separate the dog from his handler. This place is very nice, my family and I are from California but were in town for a softball tournament. We wanted to get a nice manicure and pedicure while we were in town, so I searched the internet and came across LUX Nails. First thing I noticed was how nice and clean it was inside, so I for sure knew I wanted to go. I called and made an appointment for 3 of us and when we arrived we were greeted with a menu for a complementary drink and nail service. Shortly after we each got to sit down and enjoy the experience. Chairs were comfortable and they have a USB port so you can bring a cord and charge your phone, which is an awesome luxury. Everything about our experience was great. Customer service, nail service, free drink and snacks. It's a little pricey but honestly worth it, nail files and buffers are new, cutters and trimmers are properly sterilized and everything was so relaxing and great. I wish they were back in California but I will definitely go back when I'm in town again. read more
