Josue called ahead of time to, in fact, be early. There were minor repairs that Josue was able to address on the spot. We will absolutely use Axiom in the future.

They refused to back their workmanship and ghosted us. We didn't want to enter into a legal battle, so we elected to pay to have the damage fixed ourselves. Needless to say, our faith in contractors was a little shaken, so we were very careful about choosing a roofing company to do the repairs. Since the solar panels had to be removed and reinstalled to make the repairs, we wanted to hire one company that could do both. Axiom 360 is a roofing company and a solar installer, and they have exceptional Yelp reviews. Eric came out to look at our house and our solar setup to give us an estimate, and we were astonished when he saw that several of our panels were offline and fixed them for us on the spot. We hadn't even hired them yet! That sold us on the integrity and professionalism of the company, and we were very pleased at their competitive estimate. A team arrived only a week later, which is especially amazing since we are located in Heritage Ranch, about as far north in their service area as you can get. Eric kept in constant communication on every aspect of the process. He also checked our equipment settings to make sure we were getting the most out of our panels and batteries. The roofing crew worked efficiently and were respectful of our property, cleaning up at the end of each day. When the project was finished, all the construction materials were hauled away and it was as if they had never been here. The job was completely finished within two weeks of our first phone call. Justin has been great to work with throughout the project and to follow up to make sure we are happy with the work. We highly recommend Axiom 360 for their roofing and solar expertise, as well as their honesty and exceptional customer service.

Then, Tesla recalled the Powerwall-2 batteries because of a fire risk. One of the selling points was that we would be able to receive a rebate from Central Coast Community Energy (3CE) upon completion of the project. Photon Brothers told us that they would help us with the rebate and application process. Although they did help with the application process, they failed to explain many of the requirements needed to obtain the rebate. For instance, we were never told that we had to program our battery to discharge at least 50% of its capacity daily during peak hours for a two-week period while 3CE would monitor the battery system. Upon completion of the application it stalled, because we did not know about this requirement. At least half a dozen phone calls were made to 3CE to try and figure why we were not getting our rebate. It took us over a year to figure this out, with NO HELP from Photon Brothers. Their response was something akin to, "This is between you and 3CE." A simple explanation would have relieved us of much aggravation. We finally received our rebate in March of 2026, well over a year from when we first applied. In addition, we never received instructions from Photon Brothers on how to use the Tessla App to maximum the benefits of the battery system. When we would call Photon Brothers for help with the App, sometimes we received assistance, while other times, no one called us back. We watched the Tessla Battery videos and did not find them helpful. In conclusion, we are disappointed with the lack of support received from Photon Brothers.

The contract price included everything needed, including the county building permit. Although they installed my 240 volt outlet adjacent to my electrical panel as I preferred, I learned that it would have been the same price for a very long wiring run which would make it an even better value because it affords the flexibility of locating the outlet at the most convenient location for anyone. Their installation team was very friendly and did the job professionally. My project manager also applied for the 3CE rebates on my behalf, and that brought the total cost down to $250. In checking up on the status of my rebate applications, the 3CE agent confirmed that their funding for rebates is unaffected by the current federal government's pulling back of existing approved and funded programs, as well as closure of offices and various government services that provide support. All's good!

A couple of months after I signed the contract they decided they underbid my project wanted to charge me substantially more compared to the original quote. With the revised quote they also reduced the work to a partial roof project (about 25%) of the original quote for the entire roof. That reduced scope went up in price from the original reroof project. One would expect that if you were going to do25% of the original square footage there would be a reduction in price for the reduced scope of work. That's not what happened here. The scope went down by 75% and the price went up from the original price. Needless to say, I found another roofer (Mid State) who could do the work in time for my insurance cut off date for a much better price and also seems to be more on top of things. As of this review Wicks is not responding to my request to refund the deposit on the contract they refused to perform on at the agreed upon price. It seems like they are having some rather unfortunate management issues. The guys I worked with at Wicks seemed really great. I think this is a management issue. The whole is = to the some of its parts. Some of the parts of this organization are good, some not so much. Hopefully they can get their management issues resolved. I wish them well. In the mean time I may have to take them to small claims court to get my deposit back. Not a great oucome.
