I had no idea for at least two hours only to discover the only things missing from me were my towel and my sauna pillow. I have to give Nick all the credit for this project. Do NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!!…read more They did not pull a permit, did not follow code and because of that almost caused our house to catch on fire and leaked carbon monoxide into our home. I originally was going to let them fix the problems, but then I decided not to have them back in my home due to safety reasons. Their unqualified worker cut a live wire to my recessed lighting in my basement and then took that live wire uncapped and tucked it up into the ceiling without telling me then he installed the hot water heater improperly. I did not know any of this until my kids told me that the lights in the basement were not working so I thought that was really odd. I called my electrician and he came over and he almost got electrocuted because of what this guy had done and my electrician told me something is not right about this and you need to get their work checked out. He said I was so lucky my house did not catch on fire. I then told him the name of the company and he says oh no they have a really bad reputation. Shame on me for not checking reviews and I trusted someone that referred them. I then called my home inspector and had him come out and take a look at all of the work that was done, and we found some pretty major code violations and safety violations that could've been deadly. Because there was evidence that the wire he cut caught on fire. I actually have a picture of it where you can see it clearly caught on fire when he cut it. Other issues also because of the way that the hot water heater was installed I had carbon monoxide going into my home and my home inspector told me to shut it down immediately he was surprised we were still alive because my HVAC is in that same closet which feeds my main level. I then called the county inspector and had them come over and check all of the work so I have very qualified, third-party reports of all of the wrongdoing that this company did and the risk that it caused on my family. I had to pay a lot of money to have all of these things fixed. They also cut a hole in my brick of my house and didn't tell me and left it completely exposed and open to the elements and to animals that could've gotten in inside my basement walls. They also did not cap the pipe properly that is venting my sump pump that they installed. I did all of my homework and have it all documented. According to these other reviews, that's her protocol is to just ignore once I saw other people posting reviews on here of this company doing very dangerous things. So, I felt it was my duty to make a change. Julie guy is the owner and runs the business under her other peoples names from what my attorney is finding. When I pull her son Albert Guy who is doing work for her he is not a licensed plumber as of June 2025. They did the work on my home in 2024. BUYER BEWARE!

Submitted a ticket on their website early on a Monday - received contact by 10 AM, incredibly polite customer service from the gentleman I spoke to, LaPriest. Arranged a Tuesday morning service (kudos for quick turnaround). Alas, I screwed up my schedule and double booked - I had a doctor's appointment smack in the middle of my service period and so I called first thing (7:15 AM) Tuesday to reschedule. The woman I spoke with as again incredibly cordial and friendly, apologized repeatedly for putting me on hold and making me wait, no problem getting rescheduled until 1PM. The plumber who came out arrived in the middle of the scheduled service period. They call at least 30 mins ahead to make you aware they're on their way, which I appreciated. He was polite and appropriately had his COVID-19 mask on and shoe coverings. Took a look at my issue and took pictures to document the work done. One thing I always note is whether companies up-sell me what they can, or level with me. In this case, my HOA had recommended replacing all the shut-offs, plumber said although he'd certainly make more money doing it, he didn't identify a need based on the way the shut offs were operating / what hardware they have by design. I explained that this was recommended by a third party and he took time to walk me through his thinking and demonstrate how shut-offs were functioning. I had to telework during his work and work was done in a considerate way, he didn't make a ton of noise, and work was done within an hour (even with having to disconnect and reinstall the disposal to get to my faucet plumbing). Cost was less than $350 for everything and I couldn't ask for much more in way of customer service or responsiveness. They charged for me for one single hour of labor, and that's it, as I supplied my own faucet. When the plumber left you couldn't even tell he'd been there, super clean. I've only owned my condo for a few years and haven't had to call a plumber before - this was a great experience, definitely a company I'd patronize repeatedly.

The first plumber I had called was outside of my area but recommended Davis Plumbing. Given the amount of homeowners having issues, there was a backlog. The good news is that I still had water to the inside of the house and could afford to wait a few days. Alex was the guy on the job, and he did a very good job quickly fixing the issue. He also spoke with me about some other issues (not related to the pipe bursting) and offered some suggestions. I feel like Davis Plumbing is an honestly run company, and that is largely overlooked in the service industry in Atlanta. I felt like their prices were good as well. The only thing that was an small issue was having to change around the schedule slightly today. Thankfully, I was able to adjust, and the job didn't take as long as I expected. To a customer, it was presented as if no one wants her business. 2) customer service/ experience starts when a customer calls up a business. I did not make this rule, I have been in hospitality industry for a very long time, it stinks but we all have to deal with it.
