A very clean place with a huge variety of sushi and also Chinese food so you can either get cooked or raw and there's something for everyone. It's also very clean. You don't have to do the buffet if you want you can just take a Styrofoam container and fill it with what you want and then they weigh it for you otherwise you can do the buffet.

Family adventures My kid found this place on TikTok and we decided to try it out. It was good but with average buffet flavors. The food variety was good, I went straight for the sushi and I liked it. , the only thing was it lacked of salad options . The only thing we didn't try was the hibachi station but that will be on our next trip. I was impressed with the cleanliness that had a A+ including the bathroom was spotless. And the waitress was friendly and attentive that also had an A . Until our next visit.

I was very impressed with this buffet since we don't have any good Chinese buffet around us in CT. Since this buffet is new, everything is new, clean, and food and good at the moment. I hope they do not slip and reduce the quality of food. They have soups, dumplings, Chinese food, fried apps, American food, habachi, sushi, and decent amount of seafood for dinner. They also had fruits and salad. I was extremely happy to see the yellow dragonfruit. I ate a ton! Besides the fruits for dessert there's cup ice cream cookies, and some bakery goods. I def will be back again. I wasn't disappointed and imperial has competition. They might close down being near kingdom buffet in my opinion

At 4PM on Super Bowl Sunday I was shocked to see Kingdom Buffet so packed. And I'm talking multiple parties of 10-20 people walking in, with birthday balloons and Valentine's flowers and such. It was an equal shock to be seated so quickly and have our drink orders taken (but the server indignantly protested my request for "free" soda when I had actually requested "three" for our table). Anyway... The food was fine, but the prices were high for a buffet. The sushi and sashimi were the standouts for me while everything else was typical buffet fare. On this bone chilling day I would have loved some soup, but I didn't see any. The lines were definitely a hindrance, though, so I probably missed a lot because I didn't want to stand in the hibachi line or wait for the comically tiny crab legs to be refilled. Maybe I'll go back in a few months when the newness wears off and the crowds die down.

Hot food, including pizza (for the kids) and apple strudel for desert.

A nice pan-Asian offering in Newington. The buffet has items that range from Japanese sushi, to hot Chinese-American dishes as well as a to-order noodle bar, finishing with a whole dessert section with fresh fruit, jello and pastry options. The food overall is quite a bit better than normal buffet fare. Everything is hot, fresh, and filling. In some ways, I preferred the hot food to the sushi, which itself is quite good as well; obviously you can't come here expecting the same quality as a high end Japanese restaurant, but it is nevertheless quite good. The restaurant is well staffed; they are very attentive in coming by to refill drinks and clear dishes. Lunch ran in the low $20 mark for an all you can eat lunch + hot tea, which is pretty good for what you get. I'm curious to see if they're able to maintain the quality over time, or if they'll start to slide while they maximize profits. Give it a try!

3.5 stars. Went to Kingdom Buffet for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. It was $26.95 for adults on the weekend. I feel like it was a bit pricey but everything is nowadays. I went with my partner and it ran about $58 before tip. The place was clean and I like the spacing of the tables. The waitress was attentive and refill drinks quickly. Along with the normal buffet, they had a sushi, hibachi, and noodle area. I didn't try the make your own hibachi or noodles but the sushi was pretty good for a buffet. I did enjoy the normal Chinese American buffet. They refill it with fresh hot food quickly. Some parts of the buffet is single line so there is a bit of a wait if you're behind someone who is taking forever. You may have to jump over them if you're a bit impatient. Overall nice clean buffet just a bit pricey for people who get full quickly.

We decided to stop at Kingdom Buffet for lunch and had a good experience. The service was phenomenal, our waitress was so attentive and so friendly with our toddler. The place was huge and beautifully set up, the food area was very clean and there were some nice offerings like a sushi bar, hibachi station and noodle bar besides the regular prepared food. Everything tasted great but would have loved to see a bit more variety compared to other buffets Ive been to. Overall it was a good experience.

I went with my sister for a lunch date. They have great lunch prices and so many different foods to choose from. I had sushi, ramen, seaweed salad, edamame, lo mein, a fried plantains, sautéed green beans and more! It's very spacious with many seats. My sister enjoyed the claw machine games they have for family visitors. They even had pizza and chicken nuggets for picky kiddos. Our waitress was kind and attentive. My favorite part was all the sushi and the green beans! We also tried their desserts which were nice too. I would recommend it for groups and families.

An assortment of items such as sushi rolls, sashimi, coconut shrimp, chicken teriyaki.

Buffets are back!!! My family really enjoyed this spot. A variety of options for food as seen in the attached pic. All the servers were attentive especially when refills were needed. The place is very well lit and the walkways are really clean and the food stations were attended to regularly. The sushi chefs were making rolls as the people were grabbing all prepared ones. Definitely check it out.

The food is great. I have been here twice since Valentine's Day. It's super pleasant to be here. It's quiet to a degree. The workers are very sweet and friendly. It's also relatively affordable especially if you're in a pinch and trying to find somewhere to eat I would recommend this. They have great deals. I haven't gotten sick from the food, and that's a first for a buffet. This place is surprisingly clean. The bathrooms are clean. The tables are clean. They keep the food stations very neat and orderly. Everything has a label. A very wide selection of food. I love this place!!!! ALSO a claw machine section!!!! So cool!!!

Food was good. They had different dumplings, bao buns, sushi, sashimi, lots of shrimp, hibachi and ramen station. We went during lunch and they didn't have crab legs( I believe it's only for dinner). We paid $16 for lunch time. It was worth the price. I heard the dinner price is $30 and it's only worth it I think if you like seafood. I could be wrong. But will be returning. The inside is big and beautiful. Service was good nice and fast

Food is good but not impressive. It's like any other buffet restaurant. I'll stick with my regular Chinese restaurant near me.

I…read moredon't live near the center of Newington so I was unaware that Mom and Pop's existed (and has for about four years, apparently - oops!). Once again, Yelp to the rescue. I was confused when I first checked the menu options on the website because literally every choice said 'unavailable.' To be fair, it was 10:42AM and they open at 11. However, this remained the case until closer to noon, at which point I was able to build my own bowl. Picking two proteins was easy but they don't really make it clear how many mix-ins and toppings you can have, so I probably shorted myself. Ultimately I chose salmon and tuna with white rice, carrots, cilantro, pickled ginger, and green onions. After placing my order I waited for the promised email, which never came. Finally, after about 20 min, I saw that my order was 'complete' and headed over, miraculously scoring a parking spot right in front. Once inside it was more confusion as there is no dedicated pickup area, Mom was in her own prep and chop mode, and Pop was focused solely on walk-in orders. But after managing to catch his attention I was on my merry way, with a somewhat underwhelming poke bowl, ONE napkin, and the offer of chopsticks (which I declined). A takeout bag would've been appreciated but was not provided. Back at home I surveyed the bowl before digging in. Everything was accounted for and the fish was good. The rice tasted like yesterday's leftovers, though, and I've never been served cilantro stems instead of leaves. Again, the bowl was fine; not the best poke I've ever had, but I'd be willing to give them a second chance and perhaps choose some different or additional fixings next time.

I simply cannot imagine ordering anything other than their Curry Ramen bowl from this point forward. Like one would legitimately be insane not to get it, provided you are an average fan of standard Thai-style curries like Red, Panang, or even Las Vegas style Three-color (Red+Green+Yellow). My suggested mod: Ask for your home-crafted noodles a little extra "QQ" or chewy al dente. And ask for a side of their home-made chili oil to step up the Szechuan influence. Normally I shun the fusion or "new-style" menu items, but this Curry Ramen bowl is stuff of dreams. Perfectly executed, temperature hot, unforgettably umami, and the exact drinkable curry broth viscosity that is no accident. This bowl is a champion, folks!

I forget which.) Being CCSU s spring break, there wasn't much going on. That is, we saw a few pickups and DoorDash orders, but we had the full restaurant to ourselves. The waitress was quick, but the to-go orders left us waiting (totally normal, not a complaint.) First, the good: the ramen is a sizable portion. You can tell it's all made from scratch. It's not the saltiest thing you'll ever eat. The spicy is actually spicy, if you mix in all the chili paste they leave resting on the fish cake. I grabbed my chopsticks and dug in, and I was glad I got the $3.50 milk tea on the side (you get it for cheap with a bowl), though I found it very sweet. The pork in my ramen was crispy on the sliver of crust, and the rest was cooked to perfection. Many other places can do it like that, but if they'd messed that up, they'd lose some points. The bad is a very short list. Our ramen had vermicelli or angel hair instead of, you know, ramen noodles. Maybe that's their thing? All in all, a soup place next to the up-the-hill dorms is just what I needed decades ago. I'm rarely up that way these days, but I'd totally stop here even in the summer.

Driving into the plaza...the sidewalk is a bit lifted from the road, so expect it to be a bit bumpy coming in and out of the lot. We sat down and ordered the iron man roll, so ramen roll, house ramen and Shabu Shabu beef ramen. It took about 20-39 mins for the food to come out but I believe there is just one cook working. The rolls were delicious and I really like their So Ramen roll. It was creamy and crunchy. My house ramen was also really good and I enjoyed it. My fiancé thought his ramen was a bit bland. But that might just be his opinion on ramen overall. Each item runs about $14 to $20 each. So a meal for 2 can run you about at minimum $40. Overall we enjoyed our time here and would come back.
