This place is fine! Just fine. They have what I am looking for 99.99% of the time. Surprisingly, they have an extraordinary selection of food from around the world. We're big fans of the Chinese and Korean dumplings. The employees are always ready, willing and able to help if I can't find anything. I am warmed to the core when I see the neutotypical employees so patient and caring with those coworkers who are Neurodiverse/special needs. I do not like leaving negative reviews and have only done so once before, but my experience today was unacceptable. I was assisting my 90-year-old elderly client at this location while helping her load groceries into her vehicle. I briefly pulled forward into a non-parking area as she was exiting the store so I could safely assist her. I fully understand this was not a designated parking space and I respect the need for enforcement. However, the way we were approached was extremely unprofessional. An employee came up to my vehicle, touched it, and waved in a frantic manner without first speaking to me. I immediately rolled down my window and explained that I was actively assisting an elderly client and would be moving shortly. Instead of a calm and respectful interaction, I was spoken to in a rude and condescending tone, including being told there were "a million other parking spots" and that I needed to leave immediately. The delivery was unnecessarily aggressive and dismissive. To be clear, this is not about being asked to move--I fully understand I could not remain in that area. The issue is the lack of basic courtesy and professionalism, especially while assisting a 90-year-old client who required help with her groceries. As a caregiver, I approach situations with patience and respect, and I expect the same in return. Very poor customer service. I bought a can of tomatoes for $3 that was past its expiration date. I came with a check to return the money, but was refused by Front End Supervisor Linda. She said that the item was purchased at another King Soopers store, and according to their store policy, they do not refund money for expired goods. She claimed that the information online about returns to any store was false. When I asked to speak to the store manager or another manager, I was told that there were no managers at work at 1 PM and that nobody knew when they would be back to work. The king soopers at 8126 S. Wadsworth has hateful people working there. With all the success that king soopers has in colorado can they not afford to have a training program for their employees? I realize there must be competition from Trader Joe's and Safeway as well as other markets in the area, and all the more reason to try to have their workers treat customers a little better. As an older shopper I don't expect special treatment, but I have been shopping at kings soopers for about 45 years, and I know of no other business in the area that has treated me like this. After work today I stopped at King Soopers to pick up food for dinner. I purchased an item from the bakery that was on the reduced rack. It was a berry crumble. When I got home I took it out of the box. I had to cut the box open. The crumble was raw. It appears to have never been baked. After dinner my boyfriend tried to return the product. He was told no because it was on the reduced rack. I understand that if it's stale or I don't like it I shouldn't be able to return it. However, this item was not cooked. It was not safe to eat. This King Soopers is pretty much like all the rest except that the parking is smaller than others and it's on busy Broadway St. I was doing business in this area and I stopped in to grab something quick from their hot foods section. The food was hot fresh and tasty and I found an unexpected surprise on the way out. Good shopping experience overall. read more

I bought chicken thighs that were rotten. I wanted my money back and the item to be replaced. They said company policy states that I can get reimbursed or exchange the item. I believe this policy is unlawful and puts the general public at risk. If a business sells rotten food, they should take the hit. I shouldn't be out gas money, my time, and the inconvenience of not being able to cook the food when I planned on making dinner. Masks Optional! I did not feel safe shopping here -- I observed 10-12 people walking around without masks. I thought maybe I should say something to an employee I found stocking the shelves. Here is how our conversation went: ME: "Excuse me... Are masks required in this store?" EMPLOYEE: "Um, yeah." ME: "Is anyone in charge of actually enforcing it?" EMPLOYEE: "Not me." ME: "Because there are a lot of people walking around in here without masks." EMPLOYEE: "I haven't seen it." The girl at the Service counter said that although she personally wished customers would wear masks, she was not allowed to say or do anything about it. It's not that I wouldn't recommend shopping at kings, I just wouldn't use this location. The store itself is a little outdated but the real problem is the staff. Every employee I have had a run in with over the past five years seems so incredibly disinterested in wanting to be there or help with anything, it just seems they all have very bad attitudes. If you don't like the job your doing no problem, get something else rather than being miserable at work. Cursed at twice by King Soopers employee when asked to move a cart. On Sunday 11/21/2021 I went shopping at the King Soopers located at 100 W Littleton Blvd, Littleton, CO 80120. I went to the bakery to buy fresh donuts but all the aisles were filled with boxes, pallets or shopping carts as employees were stocking shelves. After being blocked twice, I found an access point where a male employee (not wearing a mask despite store policy) was blocking the aisle. I was frustrated so asked rather curtly if he could move his cart so I could get through. Just as I asked him, I saw a female employee run over and move a cart further away to open up the area. The male employee saw that and said, "You can go that way." He looked down and under his breath, but clearly so I could hear, he said "Jesus Christ." I was stunned that he would curse at me for asking him to move his cart so I could get through, so I initially said nothing. I went the other direction the female employee had cleared and turned around and said, "Oh, Jesus Christ?" And he replied with a smile, "I mean, Jesus H. Christ." At this point I was both stunned and incensed that he had cursed at me two times because I asked him to move aside. I was trying to get fresh donuts but I was so upset that I literally dropped what was in my hands and walked away. I did not want to get into an argument with this person, and I feared that his behavior could quickly escalate to something much worse. I quickly purchased a few items I needed for the holidays and checked out. Before leaving I spoke to an assistant manager (I believe his name was Brian) and I explained what happened. He agreed that was unacceptable behavior and said he would handle the situation. I am doubtful anything happened, and I do not plan to shop at this store again. I have purchased a variety of baked items over time, three items had mold 2 days after purchased and others were stale or hard. Look at the expire dates ; some sit out for 3 to 4 weeks. Sad sad sad. I can't blame the crabby customers on King Soopers but their staff today did less than amaze. Most days I check myself out here because I like to bag like things together to make it easier to unload at home. Today I had a lot of fruit and veggies and actually ended up with more than I'd come in for so after a long week I was looking forward to someone else taking things out of my cart to bag them. For starters it was shift change apparently. The lady leaving was less than pleasant and didn't even bother to look up to say it'd be a moment while she signed off and the young guy behind her signed on. The guy was nice enough and said hello and asked if I'd found everything ok. He started running my groceries and it wasn't more than a minute that my stuff starting smashing. The bagger on the lane next to us had completed the order she was on looked at mine and walked away. It was then that I decided I'd better start bagging before everything fell off the lane. Still thought someone would come up and take over as several kids were wandering around. But no. Then as I finished carting my own groceries the cashier who up to this point I had thought decent pushed my cart I'd used for shopping over to me with my waters and soda underneath. No offer to transfer it to the new cart, no offer of help out. He just pushed the old cart up to the new and turned around to help the next lady. Did they forget to teach them basic customer service here? I was so in shock of what had transpired it took me a second but I did stop the cashier by self service to see if there was a manger nearby. No she said. I told her to let one know if they ever come by that this was the worst service I've ever had at any grocery store and most assuredly the worst at this location. Done shopping here. It may be closer to home but I'll drive the extra miles to have Safeway treat me right. You can build a brand new store but when you can't train your staff to treat the customer right, watch the place fail. read more

This store has been completely torn down and rebuilt, so I guess it's time for another review! I am not a King Soopers fan in general (the name is stupid, for one, and there are generally lots of little shopping irritations in all of their stores), but I feel like this one is really able to compete with the swanky Safeway at Broadway and Mineral. Overall I think this new King Soopers may be the largest grocery store I've ever been in. They have all the specialty counters such as sushi, cheese, deli, bakery, natural foods, ready-to-go lunches etc. Their selection in every category is huge, with a very wide variety of choices for nearly every product. There is a bank and, more importantly, a Starbucks inside the store (yay!). Sadly the staff are just typical grocery store staff. Not particularly exceptional, and usually slow to check out. They do, however, do a great job of keeping the store clean and well-stocked, so that's something! Overall, we still prefer to go to the Safeway more often, but this King Soopers is a close second! read more

Every time I'm in here, I have a problem with being charged incorrectly. I'm not talking a dollar or two- I mean I have had $28 extra dollars on my receipt! I have started checking my receipt before leaving the store because this is such a common occurrence. When I was there this week, the cashier crumbled up my receipt and threw it away without asking me if I wanted it or not. I realized this and went back to get it. She fished a crumpled receipt out of the trash. Sure enough, I had been charged $5 more than I should have been. I stood in the customer service line with my two little ones and waited while a produce manager checked the tags on the items I had been mischarged on. I could see one from where I was standing, and she told me it was because they changed the display. Great- if you change the display, you also have to change the price. Then the person at the CS counter still shorted me a dollar, but I caught that too. I know that Safeway is more expensive, but I'm tempted to start doing all of my shopping there just because they are not so often wrong with prices! Additionally, I can't stand how there are ALWAYS abandoned boxes in the produce section. It's like playing a game of Pacman trying to navigate around them. read more

Unfortunately for me, this is the easiest grocery store for me to get to on my way home. It's not the worst grocery store in the world, but it's far from the best. The meat and produce sections are both hit-and-miss, although a relatively recent deep clean and remodel has made things a lot better. I can usually find what I'm looking for, but produce doesn't seem to last quite as long as what I buy from other stores. The parking lot is always chaotic, although I can never figure out exactly why. I was going to go with two stars, but King Sooper's low prices and gas rewards brought them back up to three. read more

So not only is there a huge line at the full service check out but the carts have the locked wheels so if you get any cart, big or small it goes wonk, wank, wonk, wank, wonk down the aisle . I used to work here, and will never shop or work there again, the costumers are awful they have horrible attitudes and don't get me started with the employees there, there were only a few I enjoyed. But most of them are even worse they don't care about anyone else but them selves they discriminated against me cuz I have a learning disability, they would always say I'm to slow. This in my head is "My Kings" I'm here almost every night near 10:30 to pick up day old bread to feed to the birds near the park and to pick up some dinner and fruit for breakfast the next day. The staff and I all know one another and I've even become friends with the nicest security guard ever. [he hands out stickers to children which makes him great]. This store is always clean and the fresh produce section takes up 1/3 of the store. Which is wonderful to me. They keep everything well stocked and the staff is always willing to help you out. They've got just about everything you need from meat,bread,milk, a good selection of health/organic foods, and even a gas station attached. However they're not the biggest store and because of this some "specialty" items such as izzies and vegan soups are hard/not avaliable here. But that's alright by me. They maybe small but the do have a lot to offer and the 0% food tax is also great. They also have some pretty low prices when you compare them to the other kings down the street. I always shop here. The staff is excellent, store is clean, well stocked, and always has advertised stuff well marked and in stock. I have never had any issue with coupons, and they often have great flowers for 4 or 5 bucks if you look. Big produce section, clean restrooms, and there's froyo, nails, and starbucks in the same parking lot. The pharmacy is slow but accurate, and I wish they carried noosa yogurt and fresh mint. read more

The meat department guys are great and have the answers to your questions, the pharmacy is always amazing, the produce department is always so welcoming! I love my King Soopers. I am usually greeted with a smile by everyone there. It is my neighborhood store and I generally enjoy shopping here. That being said, today my daughter couldn't find her mask. So I went maskless with her so she wouldn't feel awkward. I was approached by a King Sooper associate with a piece of paper and told I was supposed to be wearing a mask. When I asked her if there were some available for purchase at the front so that we could solve the problem, she said that there were masks only available to employees. When I tried to say something else, she promptly stopped talking and rudely walked away. I had my daughter go search and find her mask and mine in my car. We finished shopping, and as I approached the front, low and behold what did I see?! Masks for purchase. A problem so easily solved made much bigger by a rude employee. I am not a rude person. Generally, if you ask me to do something... nicely... I'm all over it. Kindness is a big deal to me. I understand that you guys deal with rude customers all day everyday especially during COVID. I am always sensitive to that and very pleasant. I have dealt with that particular employee before and she is also generally pretty nice. I do not know if she had a bad day or what. She was working self check out Thursday around 4pm. She has glasses and long gray hair and she is usually wearing a hat. As a person who spends a lot of money in that store, while making sure to talk to everyone and love on them, it was kind of a slap in the face. My neighbor works in the meat department. There is a man who works in stocking that I talk to every single time I come to the store. One of the baggers is a good friend as well. This is literally my neighborhood store. There is never a reason for any employee to approach me rudely. I am cool AF. I never write yelp reviews either, so obviously I'm upset. I saw you guys had a lot of bad reviews for stupid stuff. I still give you 5 stars and I definitely will be back. I am pregnant and forgetful so I can't say wearing a mask won't slip my mind again. Personal experience. Over last few years. Steep decline in quality. Most recent Example bought roast beef from deli 7/27/19 spoiled and stunk house up by 7/31. This isn't first time. All beef/ steak seems to spoil quickly have to freeze right away or it Browns and goes bad in a couple days. Been shopping her since 1997. And it's gotten very bad last few years. Started to go to target and Safeway much father away for select items. Now considering abandoning my local Kings completely. read more

I truly do hate this king soopers but only shop here for last minute items. My latest trip to king's was just awful. 2 days before today I bought some Ayr gel for $3.49. It fell out of my pocket so I had to buy another one. I go back and the pharmacist tried to charge me $8 by using a generic code and refused to scan the item correctly claiming that the price had more than doubled in 2 days which I knew to be total BS!!! I look it up online and sure enough it still goes for $3.49 still not $8!! After explaining and showing this to the lady she still insisted that she was right to overcharge me! I am very disappointed what they have already done to this new store. I come here every Sunday to do my weekly grocery shopping, and I don't even know where to begin with what is wrong with this store. I was so excited to have it re-open, after over a year of it being torn down and rebuilt. At first everything was so nice and new, but it has quickly been turned into a dump. Most annoying thing is items are not labeled with the correct price. I have had more than a handful of times where the price isn't ringing up correctly according to the ad in the paper. I then have to argue with the cashier and get a price check. Another terrible things about this store is how dirty this store is! This is a new store that I am sure cost a lot to build and it is already gross and rundown looking. Kroger you really need to invest in your employees more. It is saying a lot about Kroger that you cant keep good quality workers who care about keeping new things nice. Another thing that is wrong with this store is there is not enough baggers ever! I have my hands full with 2 small kids, and it is disgusting that I have to bag my own groceries. Do you know how hard that is to do with a screaming 1 year old in my arm? It is never an enjoyable experience to go shopping here and I only continue to because it is so close. I really hope a manager reads this! I had to meet the crannies cashier ever! The elderly lady with curly short brown hair and glasses has to be the rudest person I have ever met in my life!!!! First of all, I usually have a cart full and never use the express lane but I had only a few items today and I walk to her lane. She says, "Dang it! Only five more minutes until my break!!" I didn't even notice the small conveyor belt. Like I said I never use the express lane. So I just push my cart up to her to unload it as she scans it because that's what they do in all the other lanes without even realizing I'm supposed to unload it, I'm not lazy. I didn't care to unload it. I just didn't realize it. And she throws her hands up in the air and says "I guess this is what you want!" So dang rude. I apologized and told her I didn't realize I needed to do it. Then she huffs and puffs the entire time I'm unloading my cart like have two many items to be in her lane!!!! Typical King Soopers but a whole lot less friendly. I have went there to buy cigarettes on a couple different occasions. What a nightmare. They wanted to see the ID of EVERYONE in my party & refused to sell me MY cigarettes because my 22 year old daughter was with me & didn't have her ID. The cigarettes were not for her & whoever is in my shopping party is none of their business. These people are unreal. I am 44 years old. I am clearly well over 18 & yet I am endlessly hassled by customer service for my ID. Most times these CS employees are barely out of high school & snotty brats. I don't usually complain about having to show my ID but asking everyone I am with is really pushing my limits!! Pretty surprised when they don't ask for my fingerprints & a damn DNA sample. Horrible place. I really try to avoid this place because of the attitudes & hassle. They claim it is standard practice but this is the only store I encountered this ID check of my party.
