The staff is not helpful or friendly. Got a pick up last weekend and they gave me the wrong order. I returned to the store and my order and another order I had picked up at Target were taken. Sorting this out took hours out of an already busy day and customer service told me to ask Target to refund me which sounded insane but Target ended up replacing my order for free. They earned my business and King Soopers lost it. Let's hope they done merge with Safeway or we will all be screwed read more

Called pharmacy to fill a script. Was told a time that it would be ready by. Showed up at that time and was told it's not ready, come back in another hour. Waited another hour and came back, then was asked to provide my phone number so they can call me when it's ready. Why wasn't that your first go to? Why tell me two different times that were both incorrect? Not impressed that I drove over here 3 times to get my prescription filled. read more

This review is specifically about the pharmacy. The store itself has been fine and I still use them. The pharmacy, not so much. For fifteen years, I had no problems with this pharmacy and used them extensively as my nearest option. Liked the techs, the pharmacist, etc. Had a good working relationship. Then, post-covid, there was some kind of shakeup on the staffing and the entire pharmacy staff changed. Everything went to hell in a handbasket on the spot. Long lines, random delays and backorders (which don't occur at any other King Soopers location, hinting that it's a problem with this one), etc. The last straw for me was about six months ago, I went to fill a 30-day prescription and they only had 20 days worth on-hand. They offered to fill 20 days now, then 10 days later. I agreed and they wrote me a nice little note with "IOU" on it. I wait 2 weeks, come back to fill the remainder...and they begin yelling at me. They yelled at me loud enough people came over from other parts of the store. The gist of it was that I had "forfeited" the other 10 days and the IOU was fake. Never mind that the person saying that is the one who signed the IOU. They threaten to call the police on me, despite me never raising me voice once. I leave, call management, and file complaints with the state. Boom, they "discover" that they can fill the remainder. Problem solved, I thought. I had a nice chat with the pharmacists, where she apologized, I apologized, and we went our ways. Then, the next time I came in, a tech tells me they won't serve me. What?!? She implies they're too busy (no one's there). I come back later, same thing. Later, same thing. Finally, a tech tells me that the pharmacist is telling them to refuse to help me, specifically, ever. I'm blacklisted. Wtaf? No idea if it's true, but that's what they told me after 4 refusals to fill my prescriptions or perform a SCHEDULED flu shot. They literally cancel my appointments as soon as I arrive. Moved to another pharmacy in the area and never had a single issue. I'd advise staying far away from this location as it's crazytown. read more

King Soopers Is using the coronavirus as an excuse to maximize profits and screw customers over!! They have this policy going they will not except any returns!! Even now in June!! Other stores like Costco wouldn't even think of trying that but these guys are doing it to maximize profits!! I brought back some bread today that I bought a couple days ago that is moldy even know the sell by date is a week from now!! THEY REFUSED TO EXCHANGE IT!! WE WON'T TAKE ANYTHING BACK. AND POINTED TO THEIR STUPID HAND WRITTEN SIGN!! DON'T SHOP AT KING SOOPERS!! A company that is using this as an excuse to maximize profits by not excepting returns of defective and moldy items!! If they think that is what is needed and not to accept returns they should have somebody follow every single customer around the store and then anything they touch and do not buy like look and put back on the shelf they should throw that item away and follow every customer to make sure this happens!! All the people at this location is nice, is by far my favorite location to do my shopping for home. At the pharmacy they are also nice even with the fast growing workload due the developments with a large number of condo/townhouses in the last years I have been buying there since 2008 Reggie, Loretta, Evan, Mike, Jim, etc... all are really nice people read more

I have bought magazines and books at this King Sooper's for the last 10 to 12 years. Now they have gotten rid of all that except magazines in the check out lanes. There are many aisles of alcohol and wine. Alcohol, especially, kills so many people, destroys families and children are hurt. read more

Mixed bad. The pharmacy staff is awesome. The checkout staff (the ones who have been around for years) are helpful and they know their stuff. The store is clean. Why a "2"? Only 4 days ago Kroger mandated masks for staff - they were weeks late to that conclusion (e.g. compared to Whole Foods). They have yet to encourage customers to mask up (not even a sign). I have to wonder how many customers and staff will die because they were exposed to some checker's or bagger's sneeze here. read more

We have had numerous bad experiences with the pharmacy at this location, but the last experience was the worst. I was diagnosed with COVID and was having difficulty breathing, so my doctor sent two prescriptions to this pharmacy on Friday. They filled one of them but said they never received the other. My doctor resent the order a few more times on Monday, but King Soopers kept saying they didn't receive it. Finally my doctor faxed the order. Then King Soopers said they could not get that medicine because it was not on their formulary and that the pharmacist "had not seen that medicine for years". A short time later I received a text message stating that they had the medicine but that it would cost me over $235 to get because it was not covered by insurance. I then called them for about the tenth time, and they denied ever telling me that they didn't have it. I asked to speak to the manager, but they refused, were very rude, and put me on hold for a long time. I finally hung up and then called the store and complained to the manager. That will be the last time I ever go to that store. read more

Tried to exchange a non-food item with the receipt (air freshener refill) that was the wrong brand for the correct product and pay the difference and was told by a very rude woman at the customer service counter that, due to the Corona Virus, King Soopers does not accept returns of any kind. Avoid this store at ALL costs - they don't care about your business and use the pandemic as an excuse not to exchange items purchased there. Go to the store on Ralston and Independence or 64th and Ward instead. read more

I'm really now sure how this location receives so much praise. I guess my expectations on product quality and customer service are higher than everyone else's. I've bought so much lousy produce from here. I've had to return countless items that were damaged, expired, or already opened when I returned home. When bringing this to the attention of the employees, they are not very helpful. Leanne in customer service (heavy set woman with curly dirty blonde hair) and Brittney the manager are two of the rudest and most incompetent people I've interacted with. Simple, in covid times all we hear about is how store workers are mistreated. My experience is the opposite. Store employees being consistently rude and management that is about the most unhelpful and least customer centric around. This is based on years of experiences at this store including most recently when at 1pm in the afternoon I need to return a product but since the customer service counter was closed (until 4) the manager couldn't figure out how to handle a return or exchange. She also cared less that I had just wasted 30 minutes of my day going to her store in the middle of the business day to take care of a simple return. I like to see what kind of discounted items they have. Not to say these items are still priced well, but sometimes one can find a good deal. Anyways, this store was recently revamped and they did a pretty good job. It's a convenient store and has a US Bank, Starbucks, and Nick-and-Willie's Pizza inside. You can find cheaper natural and organic products at a local health-food store (like Natural Grocers/Vitamin Cottage), but this is the nearest grocery store to me so I visit here often. read more

I love this location. I have grown up in the area and with many Safeways and King Soopers nearby I always prefer this location. I think the way the store is organized is both helpful to new comers and easy for regulars. I love the deli and the interaction I have with the staff on specialty items like sea food, meats, sushi and more. There staff is friendly and polite as well as efficient. I have gone to many other King Soopers and even one just about a mile away, but I prefer this location above all. read more

My favorite grocery solid store, prices, service, and food. Never had any problems and never had any issues with the young employees in the 7 years I have been shopping there, never had to bag any groceries. ****Update**** I have now on a number of occasions had to bag my own groceries. This is one of the busiest King Soopers I have been in so i would imagine they make enough money to pay some baggers. This store has really gone down hill. Workers are rude, especially the ones blocking aisles with the giant carts for online orders. In store customer service sucks! Yesterday took the cake though. Ran in quick to grab mushrooms to add for a dish for Christmas Eve dinner and employees were grouped at the front of the store arguing and yelljng at each other...the blame game. I just had an incredible experience here today and wanted to give a thank you to your team. I had multiple staff greet me with a warm hello on a crowded Monday before thanksgiving. While waiting in the checkout line I noticed Kat was wearing a "new to the crew" on her badge, I prepared myself to be a bit more patient as she was clearly still learning. Kat was still smiling despite the chaos around her and anxiety of learning some new squash varieties. Manager Jeremy was supporting his staff with a smile and interacting with me while bagging my things before moving on. Another lady Katie was quick to assist in bagging my items with extreme care. The male cashier behind us was quick and kind to assist Kat with a question. I feel it's important to acknowledge how courteous your staff was not only with me, but with each other during the holiday season. If you're worried about masks and COVID-19, find a different store. I shop at this location a lot and spend well over $1k per month. I'm about done. Every time I go there are numerous employees wearing masks under their noses or even on their chins. I have called management, talked to customer service, emailed corporate office. No change. I reported to governor's office and health department. No response. I see the same thing at every King Soopers I go to. We travelled a couple weeks ago and went to a King Soopers in Durango. I've been shopping here for 10 years. It has declined in level of service every year. I'm about ready to pay more money at Safeway. Now, these young kids stand around and watch me bag my own groceries. The deli workers are just plain rude now. The night time shelve restockers yell vulgar words at each other in front of customers. I'm just saddened that how poorly this Kroger establishment is being run. The last time I went in at about 9:30 to 10 pm and had $200 worth of groceries. I stood by the empty check stands for twenty minuets while employee after employee walked passed me ( not saying a word) to me NOT ONE WORD. I finally went to self checkout and ran $200 worth of groceries through the self scan. I spend roughly $13000. A year in this Kingsoopers. I think I'm done. Not sure what changed, but over the last 10 years.... This place doesn't seem to respect my family or seem to need me as a customer. read more

I love this king soopers! It is clean, well stocked, and courteous employees. The deli is well run, an employee named Scotty is always friendly and helpful. I asked for assistance with a product ringing up significantly more than it was advertised and even showed the self-check girl where the Close-Out product was and she just smiled and said she didn't know, as if that was somehow beneficial and useful. This was my first visit and will be definitely be my last. It was by far the worst pharmacy I've ever dealt with. They screwed up my prescription because Ryan (the head pharmacist) was too lazy to call and check with the insurance company to clarify the dosage stated on the script. After going back and forth several times with him over a couple of days, I was told I could only get the minimum (15 days worth). Since this was a medication that I needed to take daily and now I was out of it, I took the minimum quantity so I could have it for the next day. After filling it, I called both my doctor and the insurance company directly, I found out that they had provided everything on their end to the pharmacy shortly after I dropped it off. When I returned to the pharmacy to get the correct dosage, I informed him of this information and that this was THEIR mistake and they needed to provide the balance of medication. I was told by Ryan that they couldn't give me the additional amount because I already left the store with the original quantity. To clarify, this is important daily medication and I now have to make ANOTHER doctor's appointment to get another prescription for the correct dosage for the rest of the month. If zero stars was an option on here, I would've chosen that instead. I will NEVER go here again. Avoid getting any prescriptions here. read more

If it's legal is it ethical? When I told their checker I missed having a Safeway across the street the checker said so did he. Would give this a zero star!!! Worst KS ever!!!! I was helping bag my items, until the manager came over to help finish, but I didn't notice that he didn't make sure all my bags were in my cart. I was in a hurry to pick up kids from Long Lake, so didn't double check that I got all my groceries thinking that the manager would make sure I did. Then got home to find that one bag was missing & that I was double charged for huge bag of toilet paper. The checker did this on purpose because he scanned it as very first item, pulled it out from under the cart, had it up and I saw him scan it first thing. What I missed was that when everything was out of the cart he scanned the toilet paper again at the very end!! I'm not sure why this KS is purposefully trying to rip off their loyal customers?!?!? I live 20 mins away, so haven't been able to get back to claim my items and get a refund, but they will get an earful! I know mistakes happen, which I've had plenty, but this was purposeful. read more

I honestly think this King Soopers excels in what it offers and its customer service. I am very appreciative to have the store in my neighborhood. BUT I am writing a review because I received exceptional service there today. There was a problem with their cash registers going down and I was going on my third time of getting rung up and my two little kids were hungry/tired and very close to meltdowns...the management recognized the need to help and they handled the situation with such grace, positivity and generosity I was stunned and incredibly grateful. I was out of there in literally one minute once they stepped in. My kids and I couldn't be more thankful. read more

I had to get several prescriptions for my pet from the pharmacy which they failed to fill in a timely manner and caused my pet not to receive critical meds. While I waited almost 1/2 hour on one visit to pick up a tube of creme the vet ordered 4 days earlier I watched as no less than 5 customers were served before me. The previous 2 times I simply could not get the med filled due to their disorganized system of filling pet meds. As a nurse in a busy clinic and knowing the urgency of this med being started, this was unacceptable. I filed a formal complaint with the company but only got the standard generic chain letter responding to my concern. While they offer the service of filling prescription meds for pets, it is a poorly organized system that resulted in my pet suffering unnecessarily when I could not pick up his prescriptions.The pharmacy staff is clearly not trained in basic standards of customer service nor did a supervisor make an effort to follow up with me. As a volunteer for a local animal shelter, I think its important for consumers to realize that this is not pet friendly for pharmaceutical needs and I know I will not return for my family or animal friends. Sorry Kings Soopers, but you just lost my business to Costco where I know customer service is still a top priority. read more
