Unfortunately, I can't say the same for Ross. We arrived at Ross around 12:30 or 1 p.m., right in the middle of normal business hours. The doors were locked, even though we could clearly see customers shopping inside. At least three Ross employees were standing just inside the entrance, looking directly at us. Not one of them acknowledged us. My wife knocked on the glass, hoping someone could explain what was happening. Instead, the employees scowled at her and waved her away. She knocked again and asked whether the store was still open or if we'd be able to come inside. Same response. More dirty looks and dismissive hand gestures. Seriously? Is this how Ross treats customers? Look, I understand that things happen. Maybe there was an emergency. Maybe they were temporarily restricting entry for some reason. That's fine. But would it have killed someone to offer a simple explanation? "Sorry, we're temporarily closed." "Please come back in 10 minutes." Anything? Instead, three employees stood there acting visibly annoyed that customers had the audacity to show up during business hours. Afterward, I looked at the reviews for this location. Wow. An awful lot of one- and two-star experiences. Based on what we witnessed, I'm not remotely surprised. And where was the store manager? Does management know employees are treating customers this way? Or is this simply the standard of service they've come to accept? Either possibility is troubling. If anyone at Ross corporate actually cares, this happened on Saturday, October 10, 2026, between approximately 12:30 and 1 p.m. I would encourage the district manager to find out what was happening at the entrance that afternoon and why multiple employees apparently couldn't be bothered to extend even the most basic courtesy. We'll absolutely return to Eastland Center. It's a terrific shopping destination, and we enjoyed several of the other stores. But this particular Ross? No thanks. Locking the doors might have been justified. Treating customers with open contempt wasn't. You've been warned.

They're bringing a wide range of street wear and other brands you would normally see closer to LA and other major cities. Brands like Porter Yoshida (Japanese bag brand), Stussy, Museum of Peace & Quiet, Nike ACG, Snowpeak, Air Jordan, Patagonia, North Face, Unbranded Denim (Selvedge company related to Naked & Famous), the list goes on. They have good selection of items that are regular price and a sale rack for clearance items. I was first introduced to this store through sneaker raffles for their limited drops on retro Jordans, Nike SB and Kobe's. However this store does way more, they're constantly updating the setup, they have in-person activations, and the workers seem to have a genuine care about the customers and community they serve. The workers are very attentive in-store, every time I walk in I'm greeted and they're good about making sure you are helped without hovering over you. Their customer service is on point, they're friendly and get to know you without trying to oversell you for commission. I've been able to meet a couple of their employees such as Daniel (also works at sister company Shop At Kings Montclair) and Matt who I've run into outside of Homebred and is friendly to say hello. I am hoping they re-release the Homebred fitted cap with the city of Covina patch on the side hit!
