Mat and The Well Heeled Dog have been taking care of my 5 year old Boston Terrier Andy Warhol since…read moreshe was a pup. The original recommendation to try Mat was through a friend that had used him for many years for his Boxer, so I knew I was in good hands. The love affair my dog developed with Mat is sort of sublime. Maybe it's his gentle caring nature, or maybe he really is a dog whisperer-- but she completely melts around him. Totally bonkers. I've never witnessed her act that way with any other human (not even me). I've always liked that The Well Heeled Dog is a small, nimble business that's been in operation for a very long time. Mat is still very much IN his business, so that difference is felt. And call me crazy, but the fact that he was Lou Reed's trusted dog walker (Yes, THAT Lou Reed) for many years is kind of amazing? (He's pretty humble so would never mention it). I can't say enough good. Whether it's walks or long global travels, I've simply never had to worry about Andy in his care. And as a dog owner who loves her girl (in possibly excessive proportions), that's worth its weight in gold.

Mat is a true dog lover and Zeke took to him and Caroline immediately. They're both not only super nice and loving with our dog but it's also lovely when I get to see both of them! They're always on time and their walk timeframe window is much smaller than the other dog walkers we encountered. Zeke is always SO excited to see them and comes back from his walks in a fantastic mood. I really trust both of them and this has been a great experience for us! We are moving out of the city and can't imagine finding new walkers we will like and trust as much.

Kenny came over to meet me before my mom left me in his care. He was very, very nice and spent a long time with my mom making sure that he understood everything I needed. He spent quite a while getting to know me, which made me feel a lot more comfortable when he came to visit me! He was fun when he came over, he gave me fresh water and food and made sure I had my toys:) And most importantly, he gave me lots of love and attention and turned on the A/C To cool down the apartment.. Jenny also sent pictures of me to my mom letting me know how happy and well cared for I was. So she didn't worry about me.. I know it was a big relief to her, getting Kenny's pictures of me knowing that I was safe and happy because she is always hesitant to leave me by myself, she doesn't like me to be lonely. I really hope the next time my mom goes away she has Kenny come over to take care of me:) Kenny is coooollll! Sincerely, Phineas Henry Charles Albert David

Hello people looking for uncles to watch your pooches! My name is Ned, and I am both French and a…read morebulldog. I wanted to write today to tell you about my Uncle Kenny, who is more of a best friend, really. My mom and dad hired Uncle Kenny when one of my old friends (note: NOT a bestie) had to move away and couldn't stop by anymore. He came over one night to meet me, explain his ground rules, make sure my parents wouldn't be terrible clients, and check out if I'd be agreeable (I am very much a scamp) and fit into his availability. He was very straightforward about expectations on both sides and how seriously he takes the responsibility of my being in his care, and luckily for me, they hit it off right from the beginning. He's been the Milo to my Otis ever since. Uncle Kenny comes over every weekday (and sometimes feeds my kitty brothers if my parents take me on a trip), and we go hunting for food scraps outside, even though he never lets me have them. He makes sure I get my exercise, even if it's raining (and I HATE the rain), and that I've got plenty to drink and play with (and maybe a carrot? please?), and he's got a little book in which he tells my daily story. Because I'm interesting and I do stuff (#1 AND #2 sometimes). He also knows me so well that he's the first to let my parents know if I'm run down or if I poo funny, and that I might need to visit my favorite place (I love the vet!). Basically, he's got my back, and I have his. So while I hate to share him, Uncle Kenny is the way to go if you're looking for someone you can trust who will be reliable and actually care about your furry best friend child. I'm more than a job to him. We're buds like that. Love, Ned

I did my research & they're average for this city & the competition.

We have been using this service for 3 years and have had a great experience with them up until Memorial day weekend 2016. We scheduled a visit with them for our cat on that Sunday. We received a call by the sitter assigned (Karina) saying she had lost our key and could not provide care to our cat. We immediately had the owner (Tiana) call us to resolve the issue. It could not be resolved. The service had no backup plan and put the responsibility on us to resolve the lockout even though it was their employee that lost the key. The fact that the sitter/walker (Karina) can be so negligent and still remain employed at this service prompts me to write this review. We have since found a separate service that employs a two key set system to prevent such mistakes. Fortunately it was only one day, I can't even imagine if this were to happen over a week long holiday. My constructive advise to this service would be to implement a two set key system to mitigate these mistakes.

Enter the answer to our dog walker prayers: Jason! Our rockstar! Jason is the only dog walker who honored our request for a quick potty break M-F, for a very reasonable price.
