First off ; It's Sunday and they are open (Big PLUS since its my only day off.) Quickly I am approached and seated to start with my refill... $15 not bad, right? The guy who started doing my refills told me his name is Chino Cochino. Funny name ehh ? he also gave me a mask (I ask for it) because I'm sick. No biggie! He had no problems with my 11 year old sitting next to me to watch. I had regular Black Licorice polish before with Tony but this time I wanted Black Licorice Matte finish which then he bumped the price to $24 -- hmmm $9 for matte finish? Okay!? I love the way it looks and they feel more secure aka tight ( if that makes any sense ) I will be back if ONLY chino can do my nails - estimated time 30 mins [because it wasn't packed] but I will be back for my next color DI in 2 weeks :)

My frustration with the Spanish population in Miami is one simple thing and that is: That they live…read morein Miami and do not speak English..many people say it constantly and unfortunately it is still happening in 2016! I love the culture of Hispanics, I truly believe they are beautiful people..I digress..anyway I needed to find a hair salon quick and was in this area, I parked walked in with my sister in law and walked straight up to a woman doing hair and asked her if she could blow dry and flat iron my hair, she kinda said something under her breath and smiled. I sat down and waited and waited and waited and waited until I got really annoyed so I stared looking around too see if I could get someone's attention..nope nada..no one A woman that was doing hair in front of me said about 2 English words to me and then asked me in Spanish if I spoke Spanish..sigh..I told her I can understand a little but no I cannot speak Spanish..she said oh sorry and went back to do hair..the woman who I originally asked to do my hair stared at me and just turned around. There were 2 other woman there staring at me also and just waked away..I told my sister in law I'm leaving..I really don't understand how you can have a whole business in Miami and not have at least 1 translator..honestly it's unnerving! What is happening? You come here, own your own business, hire everyone that is just like you and don't think twice to cater to um the freaking city/state you live in where there are multiple on top of multiple ethnicities! I'm sure they do great hair and have great customer service skills but you will miss out on all that greatness if you are God forbid American, Asian, West Indie, or anything else and you do not speak Spanish. Oh and I went 10 mins just east of this salon and went to another Spanish owned salon and they were sooooo nice and sweet and also spoke English and Spanish..I mean not trying to be so rude but come on..

It's Friday night, my birthday was in 2 days and I needed a gel mani ASAP…read more I didn't even try finding a place close to home or work, I decided to take a chance and walk in to Venetian to see if they had an opening and I'm glad I gave this place another chance. The girl at the front desk immediately paired me up with someone. The day before I had an appointment elsewhere for Mani & pedi but they were only able to do one service (pedicure) since they ran out of time... Finding a similar polish was extremely easy at venetian and I was happy to find two similar options to my bright pink nails. My nail tech (never got her name but she was so nice) did a great job. I had a week old acrylic overlay which she cleaned, including the underside of my nails since they get dark from work for a cleaner look. The last place didn't do the best job with the shape but this lady really fixed it in a way that I didn't think possible with just the drill. The service was extremely quick but she was still meticulous with the prep work which I appreciated. Would love to come back to do more. Very happy with my nails,
