It's Friday night, my birthday was in 2 days and I needed a gel mani ASAP. I didn't even try finding a place close to home or work, I decided to take a chance and walk in to Venetian to see if they had an opening and I'm glad I gave this place another chance. The girl at the front desk immediately paired me up with someone. The day before I had an appointment elsewhere for Mani & pedi but they were only able to do one service (pedicure) since they ran out of time... Finding a similar polish was extremely easy at venetian and I was happy to find two similar options to my bright pink nails. My nail tech (never got her name but she was so nice) did a great job. I had a week old acrylic overlay which she cleaned, including the underside of my nails since they get dark from work for a cleaner look. The last place didn't do the best job with the shape but this lady really fixed it in a way that I didn't think possible with just the drill. I don't think I've ever been so disappointed with a nail service in my life. I walked in and asked if there was an appointment available and they immediately paired me with a Nail Tech. I asked for a good service so she immediately recommended the most expensive one which I'm OK with paying, but of course I would like to receive a good service for I ended up paying $115 for my nails. This was only a pedicure with gel polish, granted I did ask for a chrome top finishing but, like I said previously I don't mind paying for any service but I would really like something that's worth $115 worth. It was a basic pedicure, to which I constantly had to remind the Nail Tech one or another thing that she missed either (how many coats she's gone or topcoat in one of my toes was missing) She continuously kept getting up to answer her phone or to greet people that came to visit her, and she kept having conversations with everybody, which I don't mind because I didn't want them to be had with myself, but the quality of the service was extremely poor. The social thing is not that much of a problem for me. What really became a problem was when I noticed that I had residue all over my toes from the chrome finish and it got stuck to the border of my toes because the clear top got all over the border of my skin not my actual nail. Came here last minute after shopping at 7pm. They said they were closing at 8 but it's ok for me to have a manicure. Initially I just wanted color and nothing else but Annie advises me with the color white it will come off quickly and won't look as nice. I definitely agreed with her and she said I can do gel and they close at 8pm. I decided on doing the color bunny. Wow I was very impressed on how she took her time and was honest with me despite the time and the fact that they were closing soon. It was $31 plus $6 tip. I have enjoyed walking into salons without an appointment in the past, but since the pandemic, I can understand salons being understaffed. Salons need appointments made to have someone available. I understand to the full extent. Here I am at Venetian for my morning appointment with five other clients. Waiting 25 minutes after the scheduled time and no one is ready. If I need to make an appointment, I would instead go to a different location that can be ready on time. This is my second time here; the location is excellent, service is good. It was a long time coming, but I finally tried Venetian Nail Spa. I had heard plenty of great things about this salon, but I never went as I had a preferred place. Then that place disappointed me and curiosity got the best of me. I had previously called on a Sunday to try them out and the woman who answered me was so rude that I honestly thought I would never bother with this location. But eh, things happen and life is full of change. I was desperate for a mani/pedi and I didn't feel like making an appointment. Maybe that was my mistake when I had called months ago. I was asking about appointment times. I really should have just gone in. They do take walk-ins, after all. When I went, I chose a cranberry red for my polish. It was gel and my nail lady was Caridad. Have to say she did an amazing job and I will be requesting her next time I go. Apparently she works Wednesdays through Sundays, and to request her, I need to call at least a day in advance. Loved the ambiance and the fact that they offer you a glass of wine, coffee, or water. Have to say though that it's very different from my last place, but it's not a bad thing. Since then, I fell in love with the place and concept so I had to find out whether they had other locations which led me to Venetian Nail Spa on Coral Way. As a frequent patron of Venetian, I have experienced consistently good service and professionalism. The owner is super sweet and always is trying to accommodate her patrons. It's also family friendly for busy parents that have no choice but to bring their kids along. Both men and women enjoy getting pampered here. I've had a few nail technicians, and my experience has been great all the time. Today, I had a cracked nail due, and the technician told me not to worry because she'll fix it. She did a great job and was very careful and meticulous. This place is very busy so plan to make appointments but walk-ins are accepted. read more

Unless you want something super basic, do not come here. They know how to apply an acrylic but ask them to shape it and they won't know what to do. I will never come back here! My nails were absolutely horrible. She couldn't do ombre, nor a French tip with another color, just basic stuff and she said no each time. These are not nail artists, just techs that know how to apply, but don't ask for a real shape! I asked for square nails, look at this picture. This place is hit or miss. The first two times I went were great, but the last 3 times have been awful. I kept hoping it was one bad instance or two but three times in a row. I needed to write a review. The person doing my nails was very rude. She used the electric file on my cuticles causing cuts on the corners. I asked for a buff and she used a coarse file on the top of my nail. I needed to talk to the manager for a smooth buff. I got dip done and it was so thick it looks like there's balls on my nails. I told my nail tech and she ignored my complaint. My nails were done 6 hours ago and they all feel bruised and painful. Icing on the cake, I got a pedicure and the color doesn't match my hands. Wait, another icing on the cake, there massage chair was broken. I have to say that this Venetian was my go to nail spot for many years. In a few occasions they messed up, but I was willing to forgive them. Today, however, was the last straw. These are some of the things that have happened to me and my friends at this location: 1) I booked a mani-pedi appointment for 6pm. At the time I didn't have any names, so I would get whichever person was available first. They didn't call me to get serviced until 8pm - the store was going to close soon and there was no way they were going to finish by that time so I ended up going home without getting my nails done. 2) I booked an appointment for me and my friends. My friend had an appointment with Harry for acrylics. He was 30-40 minutes late for the appointment. 3) I booked an mani-pedi for me and my friends. They forgot to tell us that Harry doesn't do pedicures, so we waited about an hour for my friend to get her service done. She ended up doing her toes with Caridad, and they cut her toe nail so badly that she had to glue it back on... I had Jessie, my nails were uneven and I had so many cuts on my cuticles by the end of the session. 4) I booked an appointment for me and my friends. Again, my friend was scheduled to have a full set done with Harry. When we got there, they disregarded the appointment. Another person ended up taking my friend's appointment because the person they had originally booked (Yuri) was unable to perform the service that they wanted. Yes, they offered us Yuri in his place.. but that's not the point. We made an appointment with Harry and they did not commit to it. We waited all week for him because he is ALWAYS booked, and they gave away our appointment just like that as if it weren't a big deal. If you come to this nail salon, make sure you don't get screwed over. We personally got tired of the lack of professionalism and disrespect, so we'll be taking our business elsewhere. read more

I wanted to like this place, especially because I was trying it out after a friend recommended it. I arrived on a Sunday afternoon around 3 and they told me it would be a half hour wait. They took my number and I walked around the shops a bit and then returned before they had to call. I had decided on a gel mani and regular pedi as I was going to Europe and wanted my manicure to look good for a while. I tried to pick out a color but they only have regular polish available to look at and samples of the gel painted on chips for those. I got an idea of what I wanted but wasn't too happy with the options. When it was finally my turn to get my nails done, I showed the manicurist what color I wanted and she pulled out the gel polish and matching regular polish (different from what was on the wall). They didn't seem like an exact match but I though maybe once applied it would be closer. (Rookie mistake!) She started with my pedicure and I enjoyed the massage. But when the water started to cool and I asked her to fix this she did not so I was a little uncomfortable during the later part of my pedicure. The polish she was applying seemed to be really thick. Like I said, I was disappointed that I couldn't look at the exact bottles to choose from as this one was maybe too old. My manicure went well. Nothing of note really until I got ready to pay. There was a 2 dollar discount for getting a mani pedi combo. But because I got a gel mani they made me pay each service full price, even though the gel is listed as an add on and not a different service. I pointed this out to both the manicurist and the receptionist. The receptionist agreed that it didn't make sense but proceeded to overcharge me. I really think this is criminal to list your prices and refuse to honor them. She said she would bring it up to her manager but that didn't help me at all. I left feeling taking advantage of and unhappy that my toes and hands didn't match. A few hours later when I got home I bumped my big toe and the nail hadn't fully dried even though it had been about 4 hours at this point (like I said the polish was way too thick). My toe was completely ruined so I had to run out to CVS to buy a new polish and redo my whole pedicure. At least now the colors matched better and it dried almost immediately. The only reason why I'm giving this place 2 stars and not 1 is because my manicure did look really nice for my whole trip. But my pedicure was a disaster and they are dishonest people who don't charge what is listed in their brochure. read more

Went in for a full set and dip powder on a Wednesday afternoon after work. I was put with Jen who was nice. My first tip popped off the next day (Thursday) when I buckled my seatbelt. I also noticed a nail on the same hand was peeling - the top coat was just flaking off. I was out of town and could not make it into the salon in person. On Friday afternoon I called and spoke to a young lady at the reception desk who, after explaining the situation, told me they have a 3 day quality limit and I'd have to come in by Saturday. I told her I was out of town, to which she asked me to text photos so she could show her manager. She gave me the number to text and I sent them, but it's now Sunday and I haven't heard back. This morning, Sunday, another nail tip popped off as I was hanging my towel up after showering and another nail top coat is peeling. At this point I'll be taking the L on the $50 I paid, but wanted to share the experience to dissuade anyone from going to this place. read more

The young lady who did my nails placed the tips in the middle of my nail and when my real nail separated from the tips, she proceeded to tell me that , that was normal. It's not normal. I've been getting mmy nails for years and I'm really not one to complain but the next day when I went to eat, I got food stuck in between my real nail and the tips. I called and asked to redo my nails and they told me that I have to either drill down my real nail or pay half to redo it. I'm sorry but that's bs. Alex is the best thing that ever happened to me. I actually switched nail techs from Milly to him because he's just so passionate, professional and creative--and of course because he's the only one that knows how to do 2D and 3D nail art. I've had my nails done with nails tech other than Alex or Milly and they always come out really thick and no glued properly or not smoothly surfaced, and it's super annoying how you can't trust the other to do a great job.
