Prices were pretty bad. Yes they had some sales but otherwise prices were a tad steep. The parking lot is also tricky. We parked a few rows away but there were no return slots for wagons so we had to unload groceries and wheel the cart back to store. read more

I try not to shop here but it is in a very convenient location for me. Whenever I have time I will shop somewhere else now. I think that it is an expensive store compared to some others , but what is most aggravating about it is that multiple times I have picked up items that are already expired. I have brought this to the customer service desk on a couple of occasions and they could not have cared less. I can only guess they are hoping you buy the expired items and are too lazy to return them when you realize it. Shame on them. On the plus side, it is clean and somewhat well organized. This review relates to the quality of the chicken-boneless breast and split breast on sale there as compared to the other popular supermarkets on Long Island--ShopRite and Stop and Shop. No comparison!! King Kullen chicken is so much better Less fat and less water and not sticky packs leaking fluid. Their chicken is priced higher 4.29 versus 2.49 at ShopRite and 3.99 at Stop and Shop but it's well worth it. Look for occasional sales at King Kullen 1.99. This is a great store for stocking up on necessary items. I keep an eye out for the sales. The bakery is very good and the personnel are friendly and helpful. I shop here now because we do not have any supermarket like it in Great Neck. And King Kullen is open until 10 PM. read more

Went here all the time when I lived in NY. The battle for a parking spot is rough on the weekends, but it's still the best Grocery Store near me if you don't want to pay the premium prices of a Whole Foods or a smaller market. The place is always clean and the employees are always helpful. They have most everything you could want. I love their seafood section. Used to come here and get lobsters for lunch all the time. They would even cook them up for me. They were a very good price too. The bakery section is something I would try to avoid at all costs because everything always looked so good. I especially loved the fresh donuts and bread here. They make the best French baguettes. The deli is pretty good too. There's so many delis in the area though that I have to say I've only come here once or twice for something I wanted. I had stopped going to King Kullen because it's always filthy and their prices are crazy expensive. However, I was in emergency need of diaper cream with no time to spare. While there, I also needed bananas. Harmless, right? Until I saw a spider making a web between two bunches and then saw the employee who was restocking nearby pull down his mask and wipe his nose. I got the diaper cream and got out of there. What a disgusting place. No wonder they're all closing, they have been far and away the worst grocery store on Long Island for two decades. If you're pulling the mask down to wipe your face, why even wear the mask? Why not just pick up a kale leaf and blow your nose into it? read more

They are revamping their look and I'm thrilled. I come from miami where shopping for food is a pleasure in places that are spacious, CLEAN, uncrowded even at high traffic you have room to move. This is the ONLY market that I feel respects the clients need for elbow room. I've witnessed cart rage in Whole Foods, Waldbaums and fairway for that reason. Moreover, new shopping carts AND self check out counters! Will be coming more often. BUT would really love an expanded organic section :)) and what's up with all the plastic bags??? I love this store. Since Great Neck no longer has a regular supermarket, I come to King Kullen in Manhasset about once a month and stock up on a lot of merchandise. The store is very clean and brightly lit and the food is fresh. The employees are very polite and many times when I ask them where a certain product is, they not only tell me where it is but will actually take me to the product's location. I wish there were more supermarkets like this one. read more

Everything here is over priced. Sometimes by a lot. Most people in town don't care much because it's conveniently located. Started going to Whole Foods for my organic stuff, and stop & shop for my non-perishables. Also they are very lacking in common health food trend items like kefir. read more

Ollo Ollo there all you " Foodies . " It's Christmas Eve DAY," 2021. My " Cutie Bear " takes me for a last minute " shop " ( $268.00 later ) at around 2PM. Plenty of space to park, & thee " Recycle Bottle center " is located conveniently near the door. We enter this Large , well spaced grocery mart, with circulars & coupons in tow. Then we're stopped. By thee manager JO. Poor JO, & what a wonderful manager he is. He had to stop us to tell us the " govt. " had changed it's law AGAIN, & we had to mask off. I felt soo sorry for him. He's been the manager there for over 25 years, & had to tell everyone going in there the new rules, & trust me, people weren't happy. I"ve come to this store many a time . The rows are large & spacious, good deals IF YOU KNOW HOW TO SHOP! THEY DOUBLE THEIR COUPONS, as well, which can really add up. I saved $ 75.00 The wash rooms are CLEAN, & easy to get to. Look at the expiration dates before you buy. I do , & have NEVER found any items outdated . NONE. Everyone there is very helpful, & know the Isles quite well. Q.T. Bear is like a wee child " are we almost done? Almost going to the check out isle? Can I have this ? Ohh WOW cookies on sale! The checkout, although it looks like long lines ( sometimes ) goes quickly. The packing they'll help you with willingly, even if you've brought your own " Baglets . " It's well lit as well, which is important , to see the merchandise, but I've got t tell you. This " masking Up " rule really SUCKS as I couldn't even smell the " dill , basil & other fresh herbs . I mean WHEN ONE CAN'T SMELL A BUNCH OF CILANTRO, & it's NOT the cilantro that's old, well, the masks in a grocery store are just terrible. A staple for me in the area. I normally grab something here for lunch since it's cheaper than having to order something and paying extra for a delivery charge. It's a nice huge space and the variety is next to no other in the vicinity. I normally grab something from behind the deli counter than what's been pre-packaged. The Chicken burrito dinner was kind of lack luster, the taste was bland all around and they only had like 4 pieces of Grilled chicken in the burrito. read more

Produce is terrible here. Sometimes I can't even find it within the half an aisle of fresh vegetables. Their fruit isn't great either. I feel like the cut fruit is better and I can barely find some good pieces. Sometimes they have good sales on random items like snapple... Deli is decent but could take a REALLY long time. I would suggest the ordering system, though I never have. I prefer going to another market but sometimes am just in the same damn plaza.. read more

I'm here doing some food shopping since I was nearby at Marshalls and Staples for last minute school shoping. SMH NEVER AGAIN besides prices being high; they are out of most meats that are advertised; the lights darn near went out; they only have 4 registers open out of 8 and only 1 self check is working out of 4 (my preference). Thought this would be convenient but so not worth it and considering the neighborhood I'm surprised at the lack of everything. Next time I'll stick to what I know. read more

Pretty cool grocery store in Manhasset, NY. It's large and stocked with lots of traditional and non traditional items. There's a large deli section with lots of prepared foods for folks wanting food on the go. The baked goods looked delicious and they had exactly what I went for, chopped onions. The staff is very helpful and as a first time visitor, I felt welcomed. There are not many grocery stores here like in New Orleans but at least the few I've visited were well stocked and friendly. The prices here are somewhat reasonable. I thought I was buying a cooked turkey breast for $4.99 and I get to the register and it's $4.99 per pound. Needless to say, I left the turkey right there. For a few more dollars, I could get a whole turkey. No ma'am! Not today King Kullen. Overall, it is a very nice family owned local store with loyal customers. They know folks in there by name and know all of their business too. I was not ear hustling, the senior citizens just talk loud. read more

If I could give this establishment zero stars I would. I went in at night for some strawberries. To my surprise, I only found two boxes of strawberries and they were beginning to go bad (there was even mold on some of them). However, considering that I wanted them and it was my last stop before going home for the night, I decided to settle. When I approached the cashier, they rang up at $9.99. I found out that they were organic. I did not care to get specifically organic strawberries, but they were the last ones they had, and so I kindly asked considering these circumstances, if I could get them at a discounted rate. And that's where it really went down hill. The manager came down and had attitude from the get go. He did not want to settle, and of course I'd understand any other situation-but they were going bad anyway and I knew that by the morning they would be thrown out. It's a shame that he would rather throw away food than give me a discount. Had his attitude been better , I might have reconsidered spending 15 minutes of my life writing a Yelp review. While I'm at it may I also state that it is completely over priced, the choices aren't that great. I will never go back! Disgusting! UPDATE: I ended up going to food bazaar and found an abundance of the same strawberries for $7.99, and they also had regular strawberries for a great price. THEY WERE ALL FRESH! Unimpressive. When you first walk in, it has a good feeling. Fairly open/very airy. However walking around is always disappointing. There is a fairly large selection but it doesn't outweigh the cons of this place. Very overpriced and i've never been happy with the quality. I only go here to pick up simple things quickly. I would never get freshly made bread here or cold cuts. Even their egg salad wasn't great. I also can't find things well here. A quick trip to the supermarket to pick up three items turns long when it takes me forever to find things. The large selection becomes a negative. This King Kullen is good with parking, kitchen supplies and having a lot of registers open. Though I don't do my main grocery shopping here, i've never had a problem with the lines. Staff has always been helpful with telling me where things are. Also it is very clean. Main point: Good for one or two items if you don't want to drive far. I would never do my actual grocery shopping here. read more

I get foot long subs here whenever I've got the budget and 150+ people to feed! $12/foot which can feet about 3-5 people per foot is awesome! Just order the day before, and someone will help you wheel the 4-6" long subs to your car for you (with all dipping sauces included). My favorite is the Italian sub - haven't had the budget to get the Chicken Cutlet sub, but I've heard great things about that as well. It's a small supermarket, but I'm a fan! Surprise Sushi! Not super quality sushi, but a fairly reasonable sized Eel Roll and Spicy Salmon Roll for $4.99 made by nice Chinese people. The rest of the store is clean and well organized. The prices were reasonable and I didn't need to have a King Kullen card so that was nice too. read more

I came here to see if they made sandwiches and yes they do and great ones. Work in area and went to an amazing deli department their salads looked fresh and appetizing. Steve the deli guy was very helpful and made me a great sandwich. Will be a go to spot for lunch and if I need to pick up milk why not, the store looked clean and the staff friendly. read more

Although some items are a bit overpriced, I gotta say, they got a lot of variety here. This store is big and has a large deli and produce sections and I even love getting cheese danish, bagels, and croissants from the bakery section. They are just so tasty and smell so delicious! Many workers are racist or don't speak English. Luckily one African American male worker saw me struggling to find an item in that tiny ass store. He helped me right away. The deli department does not have enough staff. I usually have to wait an above average time to get cold cuts. Sundays are the worst days to get cold cuts. I'm usually there a little bit after 12:00 noon on Sunday. There is always a tall, clean cut, deli employee with glasses who stands in the back on his phone while there is a line of customers. He thinks we don't see him I guess. The employees that work hard are moving so fast just to pick up the slack of not having enough deli employees. read more

I got a King Kullen circular at my home which is about the same distance from Ronkonkoma and Patchogue. I made up a shopping list and headed for Ronkokkoma because I had to go to Kohls which is in the same location. The circular advertised eye round roast for $1.99 lb. When I got to the Ronkonkoma King Kullen, the meat was $2.49 lb. I inquired why and was told that the price is different iat different KK locations. I was told that I could buy the meat, and come back with the circular and my receipt and they would give me a refund of the difference. Why should it cost people more for their food in the same store at two different locations? I only bought the meat because I had to. I'm taking my shopping list to a different supermarket. They call this "competitive pricing". I call it competitive shopping and I won't be shopping at King Kullen anymore. read more

The customer service is appalling. I had a disturbing and unfortunate experience at this supermarket. Upon checking out I questioned the change I was given (I thought $10 off). Without a word the assistant manger escorted me to the service desk, ultimately informed me the cash register count was correct so this suggested I was trying to put something over on them. I was told I was to sit in the manager's office while they reviewed the surveillance tapes--not an invitation but an order --My time and word apparently worth nothing. Never a courteous word to the customer, just orders and accusatory tone of voice. The discrepancy in change became irrelevant when basic civility and customer service is so lacking. The rudeness was amazizng. I left the store insulted and without resolution with regard to my question. I will never be back--keep the change. read more
