Valentine's Day Flowers

A wide variety of products to tryout and reasonable prices. Salespeople are also outgoing and knowledgeable about the products. Many organic and healthy foods. Makes meal planning easier! Great for buying fresh flowers at a great price!

All lanes in use!

When we moved to Long Island in 1990 the grocery situation was abysmal. Dominated by two chains whose dreary stores proclaimed You're on an island. Deal with it. The first glimmer of hope was Trader Joe's coming in during the early 90s. Suddenly we had access to Western foods such as tamales and real tortillas. This store is ten minutes from our house and slightly preferable to the one in Merrick. Even when it is packed and bustling the customers and staff seem to be enjoying themselves. The selection of unusual and well priced food is a joy. We are impressed that every lane is open to check out. Only disappointment is that they no longer carry Orangina. We will always drive past Whole Foods to shop here.

Cute Chocolates

My staple store for groceries is always Trader Joe's. Wanted to head over when I heard they had their seasonal items out for this year. I was able to snag the Chocolate Collection for the fall season and it did not disappoint. They looked so cute and tasted great - dark chocolate, milk chocolate, hazelnut, and white chocolate flavors. The service was alright with the staff quickly checking out my items and asking me about my day. Ambiance is always bustling with staff restocking items and working the cashiers. Can't wait until they have their mini tote bags out again. Food: 5/5 Service: 4/5 Ambiance: 4/5

Flowers at Trader Joe's

I didn't even notice place was here. Are used to drive all the way out the Plainview. Claudio who is a cashier was super awesome. They were packed but work through everybody really quickly. I don't think I went online for more than two or three minutes. The shelves were fully stocked. Food was fresh. Even the flowers weee nice. Prices not so bad either. Parking is tough but it's a popular shopping center.

Chocolate croissants- 4 to a box

Went on a Thursday afternoon around 2pm for 2 items and who would have thunk the line would be that long, but once inside it was quick and easy. We have been waiting patiently for them to restock the Peach Bellini since around mid October. They had soooo many and another flavor to try. Bought a case to share with family and friends.

There is something about the people who work at this Trader Joe's that makes it special. Hard-working and very aimable.

While I was there I did some comparison with stop and shop on the app. I did see that ALDI had lower prices on many items. The part I didn't like was the scam for the turkey. Spend $40 and you get a turkey. They were out of stock on items so different item was chosen. So the person that has a very nasty attitude rolled her eyes when the question was asked, why wasn't the turkey included. She started saying it was charged per pound, meanwhile that was never stated on the flyer. Some people like to shop here while others love to shop here. I thought about coming back for the prices ... Nah I'm good! I just can't bring myself to tolerate the set up. Oh well, the shopping spree continues. Inspire more. Yelp more!

I've been lucky for the most part with helpful and kind workers. The location it's in is killer. There's plenty of parking, but being around Old Country Road and Glen Cove Road is always a nightmare. And does anyone besides me ever have a problem getting a cart? I put my quarter in, and can never release my cart. Luckily there's always a kind customer to help or I track someone down who's about to return their cart, then give them my quarter. I'd say go just to look at the place even if there's nothing you want to buy. Guaranteed you'll come out with a few shopping bags full of stuff. Bring your own bags and enjoy.

First site driving up to this location, I saw the well crafted and color coded logo and I took notice of the words "Market Place" in the brand name. After walking in I was mesmerized by the site of what was in the entrance. Like a kid in a candy shop I began to stammer out of excitement. I stood in front of the pastry and cakes area and the person behind the bar, spoke and kindly asked if I needed anything. I stated that I was just looking, he responded by saying, if you need anything, just let me know, I'll get it for you. Awesome custom service!!! He scored big . This is a MARKET PLACE, they have a plethora of stuff. Bread's of all sorts, snacks, cakes, flowers. They have a coffee bar. A hot food bar, a salad bar, smoothie bar, and a dining area to relax and enjoy. I actually walked through the entire store because I could not believe my eyes. I will give an A for their merchandiser. Although most people aren't aware of product merchandising, I am a merchandiser and I saw little room for improvement, one might say the merchandising efforts were not miniscule. The entire store was magnificent . My attention went to the smoothie bar, the lady behind the counter was more than helpful, engaging, and maintained eye contact when conversing. The name of the drink is Fresh Green (FG), the drink was obviously fresh as they have tons of fresh produce in the area. Kale, lemon, celery, and apple is noticable and gave a distinction taste. I am enthusiastic about my next visit.

I've been eating Jiffy all of my life but lately Jiffy doesn't come out right, Krusteaz has been requested more often then not. It is delicious! I can't say the reviews are consistent with every Stop & Shop but this store was okay. Some aisles were not fully stocked, some product was not on the shelves, and merchandising was off. Maybe it's late in the evening and it's a holiday and everybody and their mother are out shopping before the holiday. They have seedless grapes, ugh! They have blueberry on sale, buy 2 get one free (BTGO). So I purchased, one box of cornbread mix, a small container of prune juice, blueberries and they had the carnation milk in a pour container which is new for me. Instead of taking a butter knife to make a slit on both sides of the aluminum can, a secret method used as a child, growing up. This container is not pictured but it is was a great buy. Just unscrew to pour and screw back on when finished, BAM! That's it. I use carnation milk to make oatmeal, delicious but that's another story. Oh well! Inspire more, Yelp me.
