This store has gone downhill. Every time I go in there, they never have what I want. Forget about going in there around 6 on a Saturday or Sunday night, the meat department is sparse, (especially the sale items). They have a lot of variety of the same things, but not a lot of varieties in general. How many of the same shapes of pasta do you need. Just an example. And why did they get rid of the bakery, don't they realize there is no bakery around and if that's the case import more of a VARIETY of baked goods from the Patchogue store. Also if there are lines, do something about it, don't just stand there looking out from the office. KK almost never disappoints in the floral dept. I usually can find something reasonable except during Valentine's Day (prices were rediculously high!) I shop there for convenience and pay the extra price but overall a nice shopping experience. The baked goods are usually delicious and I can almost always find something to bring for dessert. Veggies are eh hit or miss but again convenient! I'm glad I don't have to go far from home especially on those cold rainy nights! read more

So we're all pushing to shop locally, which is quite difficult considering the limited variety of shopping places and the one popular small KK the cashiers have literally did a tug of war with me ripping my bag from me! See attached...it's rarely legal for even law enforcement to do a search wo probable cause. So no, no we absolutely will not be shopping there again only to be put on display for a very unnecessary reason or lawful demand. Aside the fact that the store is dark and dirty. read more

I love the size of this King Kullen. You can run in and out and it takes no time. There are always registers available and it is clean. The Deli people and cashiers are always nice. The only time we ever had a weird experience was when some edgy girl at the registers told us they were watching Carts roll into cars (it was windy) and betting which ones would get hit. That is some customer service lol. I never saw her again so not sure if they canned her or she quit. They also have the Deli ordering Kiosk which is very convenient. I never had any problems with meat there like someone else said. I guess we are just lucky. read more

If you want to enjoy a fine shopping experience with great deals on food, you shouldn't come here. If you want to have a normal shopping experience with average priced food, you still shouldn't come here. If you want a bad shopping experience with food that's a complete ripoff, this is the perfect place for you. I've been at this King Kullen a lot and have seen multiple things done wrong that either have had no attempts to be fixed or if there were attempts, they were pointless and horrible attempts. Sometimes some food people they're trying to sell are at least a few days past the sell by date which is most likely because they don't check the food they're selling. Speaking of the food they're selling, the produce section's also very poor, within the past 1/2 week alone, I saw multiple pieces of fruit that have bad mushy spots meaning they shouldn't be eaten and ESPECIALLY shouldn't be sold and 2 packs of strawberries that were only 1/2 full either from a lousy job packing them or because someone stole the other 1/2 from each of them and no one caught them, even with the ridiculous amount of cameras they have. On Saturday there was a kid crying the whole time because he couldn't get a toy. I'm not saying that's King Kullen's fault but I've never seen this happen at Stop & Shop. Speaking of Stop & Shop, King Kullen's prices are a complete ripoff compared to Stop & Shop. Here's a few examples: 32 oz Heinz Tomato Ketchup King Kullen-$4.69 Stop & Shop-$3.99 Eggland's 12 Large Eggs King Kullen-$4.19 Stop & Shop-$3.39 28 oz Gatorade King Kullen-$2.39 King Kullen Sale-$1.50 Stop & Shop-$1.25 Perdue Chicken Nuggets King Kullen-$5.99 King Kullen Sale-$4.29 Stop & Shop-$2.99 King Kullen's such a ripoff, even its sale prices are a ripoff. If you want a great deal on food, go to Stop & Shop and if you just don't want to be ripped off, go anywhere else. One of the worst things about King Kullen's the boss himself. I've tried talking to him multiple times, and he never listens to me, all he does is cut me off while I'm talking to him, tell me he's done talking about whatever I'm trying to talk to him about, and just walk away without doing anything, and he's supposed to be the boss, what a joke. In conclusion, don't go to King Kullen because you'll have a horrible experience like I've been having there, You'll get ripped off by paying WAY too much for even the most basic things, you'll find food that shouldn't even be sold there because it went bad at least a few days ago, and the boss is someone who not only shouldn't be the boss of King Kullen, he shouldn't even be any kind of King Kullen employee. It's a grocery store! It's not the nicest store in the world, but it gets the job done. Always fresh stuff, has everything I ever go in there for, and has a really nice staff. It's my local grocery store, and it meets my needs in every way! The only reason I haven't given it 5 stars is because I think that's unfair to some fantastic grocery stores more down south that have excellent eateries and little cafeterias built in. Nothing to shake a stick at. It's a Kullen. No self-checkouts. Produce is decent. Deli is run-of-the mill Boars Head. I strongly recommend the chilli. It's between the deli and bakery sections. Good hot-lunch option. Also watch the meat section, you can often get specials on pork and chicken for less than $2/lb. Wish they carried more sugar-free options and that their superfoods salad was a little cheaper. But again. It's a Kullen. read more

Went there a week ago and bought pork chops that were dated 2 days away..pretty much all the meat was. Made them for dinner that night, they smelled and looked fine but tasted rotten. Threw the whole dinner away. Today I went back, 11:00 am. NO bread on shelf, outdated yogurt on shelves. Bad enough? Go to deli counter and guy completely ignored me. Store used to be good when I moved here 10 years ago...lately not so good. Bought tomatoes and by next morning 2 of 4 were rotted-same think with nectarines. Bought a jar of pickles that tasted fermented which happens if not refrigerated properly (these are the ones kept in refrigerator section by eggs) Bought a quiche 2 days ago, made it last night and it was old as can be even though the date on it was good...oh and the last 2 rotisserie chickens? Looked fine but they were completely dried out. Not to mention the cashier with the cloth mask pulled down under her nose every time I go in.Going here is just throwing your money away..i am done. read more

I like this King Kullen. Is is not a "super store". It has a feel of the smaller supermarkets I grew up to like. Nice hometown feel to it.

I love my King Kullen! I prefer it over the new box type grocery stores. They carry a nice selection of products including plenty of organic produce and organic, Non-GMO products to satisfy my preferred diet. Everyone is always courteous and friendly and the place is immaculate! They even have the parking lot cleaned at least once a week.(I know this because I live close by and when I am up late, I see/hear the street cleaning machine going) I mean who else does that!? It's so close and convenient and with their selection I never have the need to go elsewhere for groceries. Big thumbs up! read more
