I requested a quote from Joe and he was able to provide me a better rate to other locksmiths in the area. He was at my vehicle within the hour and got me a duplicate key. He saved my day. He was also very professional and quick. Went above and beyond for service. I highly recommend. read more

They don't take accountability of their bad job. And if you have a problem with your key they never get anything solved. DO NOT USE THEM

They came out in a reasonable amount of time to rekey a deadbolt (not an emergency) to match the house key. They wanted to charge me $250!!! I should have asked for a price ahead of time (my fault) but I have been managing homes for eight years and I have NEVER paid that amount of money for a similar service. He took off 15% because I was a "first-time' customer...and I made a bit of a stink about it. Be sure to ask ahead of time for a price!!!! read more

Called got an estimate for $100 flat for my standard car key. They never mentioned "service fee" in the quote. Got here after everything was done and I asked for total he mentions "service fee" $30. I stated to him neither he or the company he worked for mentioned a service fee & he stated to me "it's common sense" uhm excuse me? Common sense is to mention all applicable charges in the quote. So in total I paid $140 was charged $10 in taxes. Not bad but I don't like the dishonesty. I called around and got several cheaper quotes, could've went with those companies. They will tell you cheaper to get you to agree then show up and charge you more. Only giving two stars because the keys do work. Thanks read more

I called and requested a quote from this company and told the person I spoke with that I would get back with them on whether I would need their services. They sent a tech out anyways and charged my husband $70 to unlock our vehicle and to retrieve the keys. I couldn't speak with my husband since he also left his cell in the vehicle. (He called from a borrowed phone).I would not recommend even calling this company for a quote. If a customer ask for a quote, you shouldn't take advantage of them. I contacted another company which was only going to charge me $55. This was done to some else as well Joey. If it's not your company doing this why did the exact same thing happen before? read more

I called King Key Locksmith to open an outdoor gate, the latch of which would no longer budge despite the key turning in the keyhole. The recipient of my call could not offer me a quote without first inspecting the latch but did mention he could send a locksmith anytime of day and would charge a $15 service fee if I did not proceed with the job. I asked whether debit/credit cards were an acceptable method of payment, and I was advised affirmatively. I set up an appointment for the same day at 7:30 PM. The locksmith, John, arrived promptly and was very courteous and efficient. He explained the deterioration of the latch and suggested an upgrade to a much sturdier deadbolt, advising me that he would have to widen the existing hole to house the deadbolt on the receiving side of the double gate. I was hesitant to have any company other than Artistic Iron Works, who manufactured my custom gate, do any drilling or sawing, but John set me at ease that he was very precise with his work, and he quoted me $120 for the job. Before I contacted King Key, I did consult Artistic Iron Works regarding the problem, and they offered a replacement and installation of the same hardware for $250 so I decided to proceed especially as John was very kind and reassuring. John did perfect work, and I am pleased with the deadbolt. My complaint does not pertain to the work. As I was paying for the service, John started at $240, and I reminded him that he quoted $120. He apologized, and I believed it was an honest slip of mind, but he then added a $40 service fee as well as a 10% credit card fee taking the price up to $176. I didn't mention the fact that I was informed of a $15 service fee, not $40, and figured that this may have increased due to the complexity of the job. I did protest, though, that I was never advised of a 10% credit card fee, and when John attempted to rationalize this fee, I retorted that I should have been informed of this fee beforehand as I inquired about this method of payment during my phone call. John agreed, and he cut the fee in half as a conciliatory gesture. I blame myself that I didn't protest further, but I feel cheap when I have to squabble over a relatively small amount even when I am right. MasterCard charges up to a 4% fee--certainly not 10%--and it is a breach of the merchant contract with MasterCard to charge compensatory fees. Ultimately, "We can do it for $120" means exactly $120--no more, no less. I ended up paying $170, which is better than $250, but I can't help but feel a little tricked. Excellent work, but be sure to verify the price before proceeding. read more

We were stranded a little outside Las Vegas in Jean Nevada and lost our smart key somehow. Called about 5 other locksmiths and were no help. Called king key and had a technician out to us in about an hour with a new smart key and programming. Very friendly and quick service. Thank you so much!! read more

My husband called for someone to come unlock my car, when we called he said he would be there in 5 to 10 mins. Which was a lie. I get a text for me to send a ping for my location. After 45 mins they finally show in an unmarked vechile. The guy barely speaks English. They place air pump bags in the door to try and get it unlocked. Took him about 20 mins after he looked like he struggled. They quoted us 60 and that's what they advertise. When he finally got it unlocked, it was 65 plus they charge 23.00 service call which they don't tell you. My total was 102. He says 8.25 state tax. In my book it comes out to about 98 bucks but they scam you for more money. I texted the person and he quit responding. Never again. And it's not 60.00 like they quote you. Be aware Edit to my oringinal review. Joey was very nice to call me and fix the issue I had with getting over charged. He refunded me my money. I apperciate the fact he really does care and made the situation right, you feel helpless when you lock your keys out and just need help. Thank you. read more

When I called them a lady quoted me $65 when their technician showed up he told me 220 after I told him that I can just do it myself he kept lowering the price after I had already given him $40 then got them down to $100 and he had me cash app it. When he got into his vehicle to leave he peeled out making a quick U-turn and sped off through neighborhood I would not recommend them. When I called a lil later and asked for a quote for the same job I was quoted 27.00. SMH. Don't use this place read more

SCAM SCAM SCAM. We called and we were given a $65 quote to unlock our car. They show up in an unmarked random car and tell us it is going to be $179!!!!!!! We tell him we obviously do not have that much and we were quoted $65 and he tells us we can go ahead and call a different company. Complete BS. Don't waste your time. They'll say that you won't get a cheaper quote but also BS. Call Las Vegas roadside 7028449760 got to us quick for only $72. read more

After my initial complaint, the owner had contacted me and gave partial money back. Great customer service, and he did it without a hassle. Next time I know to ask the quote, before agreeing. Thank you Joey for being understanding. read more

Called King Key Locksmith after accidentally locking ourselves out of our apartment. They were friendly and prompt to respond. The technician was at our place within 30 minutes, he was very knowledgeable and explained what needed/could be done. Our door was open in less than three minutes. Unfortunately their prices are a bit high, it cost us $250 dollars because we have a "smart lock" not a digital lock, just the kind that can't be easily picked. There was no damage to the door or lock so we are pleased with the service. Giving them 3 stars because the prices are steep. read more

Two lessons learned today. Don't choose a business on star rating alone like I did. Make sure to read recent reviews. And don't trust this shady business. Called them for locking keys in my car. I was quoted $75 then was hustled for $110 when the "technician" arrived. Many other reviews saying this as well, I wish I read them. I will be reporting this business to the better business bureau. They should be ashamed. read more

Never trust and do business with this service. They also agree on a price for you, but after they arrive, they ask you for twice as much. Incoming staff swear at you and fight you if you don't give them because they want more money from you. they are very rude and cursing and punching read more

WOW! I cannot say enough good and wonderful things about Mike! He is just the best! Came and calmed my dog down (he a dog lover too) Explain the process to me and also helped me with the garage lock (should have read the manual) but all in all if I ever need a locksmith I know what company to call and refer others too. Lets start off with their prices $150 to unlock a door no lock replacement no new key (yes you read right $150). Talked down to $70 once again to unlock a door. Horrible!!! I once gave this company 5 stars based on quickness & personality. Even though I was also quoted once price & given another.. But 2 weeks after getting services the NEW key broke off in my ignition due to soft metal. it's supposed to be 24hrs. I had been calling for 12hrs with no answer just for when they did answer, he claimed he was eating then hung up in my face!!! Crazy! Do NOT GO HERE!!! DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY read more

I've used them many times over the years. They are always reliable and prices are fair. The other day I called them for a key fob code and they really weren't able to do what I want despite trying (granted it was an unusual car and key fob). I asked what I owed him for a service call and he said whatever I wanted was fine. Nevertheless I wanted to take care of them for their time and effort. Absolutely recommend without any reservations and I will continue to use them. read more

Liar and scammer... I dispatched for City Locksmith through Groupon, and ol Joey showed up performing a service for me after stating to me that he takes Groupon through the phone. After performing the service he stated to me that he doesn't take Groupon and that he is charging me full price. I knew something was not right because he was the only person we contacted. Joey stated to me that he didn't know City Locksmith and that he was King Key, and I made a mistake. After telling him that I was only paying him through Groupon he got hostile and threatened me, with my wife and infant children in car. I had to back up, he got so close to me. Little did I know this mans name isn't Joey, it's Yosef Ishaki owner and operator of King Key locksmith with a DBA name of City Locksmith. You disgust me Joey, shame on you. You thought you got one over on me but your true colors shall be exposed. By the way I payed this gentleman full price, because I was in fear for myself, family, and property. Not a way to conduct business sir! P.S. View my photos in profile to show that I'm telling the truth. read more

I never write reviews, but this business deserves it for the services they were able to provide on such short notice.. 5/5 stars! Dan and Joey were awesome and quick to help me with my situation. My only set of keys got locked in my car, and Dan was able to open my car in less than 15 minutes. After Dan unlocked my car, I also wanted to buy an extra key fob for my car, but their service was already closed for the day and not available until the next day. I then receive a call from Joey, offering to come out to my location to make an extra key fob. Joey gave me an awesome deal that was more than half of the price that the dealership would have quoted me for a new key fob. Dan and Joey were very friendly and provided great customer service. Would definitely recommend their services to a friend! read more

I found King Key Locksmith by their Yelp Reviews and they did not disappoint me one bit. Joey communicated over Yelp Message and was very responsive and arrived at the location within 10-15 mins after our conversation over Yelp and was done within 15 mins or less. FAST QUICK RELIABLE Service and quoted me under what others would have charged for 1 house lock and 4 keys. 5 Starts all day....Thanks Joey! I will defiantly give you a call again. read more

Great customer service, and timely communication. Price quote was accurate, and the job was completed professionally. I was looking to get my switchblade key replaced and he was the cheapest of the bunch. We arranged a time and he did call a couple times to let me know he'd be late and where he was. Props for being responsible as a businessman and I was in no rush as is. Whole process maybe takes about 15-20 minutes with everything done in his vehicle. He tested the key and remote to make sure it works. Then said to call him if there were any issues with the said copy. Thanks Joey! read more

The reviews don't lie--Joey is the man to call if you need a locksmith. For some reason, my car's push-to-start key just stopped working. I messaged Joey over Yelp and got a response in minutes. I explained the situation to him over the phone and Joey was able to identify the problem right away. He set up an appointment to meet with me on a Saturday only a few hours after we talked on the phone. He probably could have met with me earlier but I wasnt in a big rush and Joey was able to meet with me at the time I requested. When you meet Joey, you can tell he's passionate about what he does. He moves quickly with a purpose. While doing his thing, he does not neglect me and took the time to explain everything that was going on. We also had a great conversation while my key was being reprogrammed. The entire process took about 20 minutes at max. It was so much easier than I thought it would be. Joey is the type of person you need in every industry. He's professional and knowledgeable about what he does. He also has great personality to ease you anxiety. Let's face it, you probably have a lot of anxiety when you need the service of a locksmith. Overall, I can't recommend Joey enough. I wish I will never need Joey's service again but if I do, I know that I can depend on him 100%. Thanks Joey! read more

Someone broke in my car and stole the keys to one of my other cars so I requested a quote for my car. Called to get a quote on 11/21 at 930am, and all the man would tell me was it was starting at $125. I asked if he could give me a range like every other locksmith company. He refused and hung up on me. I called again and got a lady this time who would only say the range is $125-$250. I told her that was quite a big range, and I wasn't comfortable working with them if they could not give me a more narrow quote. They did not care. I have a 2014 Honda Accord, which is a fairly common vehicle I'm sure they have worked on before. So, either they were being lazy or they want to upsell you once they have completed the work. STAY AWAY from SCAM artists like this. Every other company I callled had no issue giving me a quote, so what does that tell you about this company? read more

The service was fast and great. I would highly recommend their services to anyone. Very professional and great attitude with fast work I had lost my smart entry key for my car and he was not only able to help me out but also realized the dealership parts center gave me the wrong key.
