What a game changer, that explains a lot of bad haircuts in my past. She also pointed out that my hair isn't straight like I've always treated it, it's actually pretty wavy when styled (a look I love but didn't know I could have). I do feel like an asshole for getting my hair cut during a pandemic, but I appreciate that the salon is taking what precautions they can. The mask interfered with my haircut less than my glasses did.

She is stylish, funny, and gives a great blow out. Brooke has been doing my hair for about two years and I have never left wondering what the hell just happened. She listens, clarifies, and makes your dreams come true (within reason). Super impressed with her every time and so glad I found her. Also, she doesn't push products, but gives great recommendations. My hair has never been healthier and I color it religiously every 8 weeks.

She asked me questions to make sure I knew what it would take to style a haircut like that every day, and she was confident that she could give me exactly what I wanted. From the moment I got there, I was instantly comfortable opening up and having easy conversation, something that I generally feel awkward doing. An hour is a long time to spend with someone you just met, but I seriously feel like I just made a friend. Regarding the actual cut, I told her I only wanted an inch off the ends, and she started to do just that when she suggested taking off a little more just to give my hair a healthier look. I appreciated her insight, and allowed her to do so. She was very efficient with the actual cutting, so she spent the rest of the time drying it and styling it with a straightener. She showed me how to create waves using a straightening iron, something I've yet to master, and I can't wait to try it myself. Oh, something else I thought I was funny and is worth mentioning: she dropped at least three combs while cutting my hair, and each time she dropped one she pulled out a fresh clean one instead of picking it up off the floor. Her workspace was very neat and clean. Before I left, she summarized what all she did, showed me the difference in my shortest layer and longest layer, and asked if I was good with that. I said yes, thanked her for being thorough and being a good listener (doing what I wanted instead of doing whatever hairstyle is *in* right now). I'd recommend her to anybody, and she's easily earned my business.

One of my friends told me a while back that she tried to schedule an appt with a "Jenny something" in RR, but couldn't because Jenny was booked 3 months out. In my skeptical mind, I was like she can't be that good only because I don't put that much effort into my hair and was never going to wait 3 months for an appt. Well, recently I was contacted by a Jenny T for a macaron order via IG. When I was reading the message from Jenny requesting the order, I happened to be over at that friend's house for dinner, and honestly, blurted out "does anyone know a Jenny T?" My friend immediately said, that's who I tried to make an appt with!! And guess what, I was in desparate need of a redo of my hair color. I colored my hair for the first time ever a few months ago, and it did not go well, I was disappointed and stuck with a color I never wanted! I've been procastinating the redo because I didn't have faith in anyone getting the color I wanted originally. I took a leap of faith and asked Jenny whether she can fix my hair and if by any chance, she is availabe before my wedding date in May. She scheduled me in 3 weeks later after I asked. She took care of my hair for 3.5 hrs, cleaned up the mess (I should say blended it in), got really close to what I wanted with a foilyage. Note that what I wanted couldn't be achieved on the first or second try because my hair is really dark to begin with. I wanted to go really light ashy gray. But I do love the color she did for my hair, my hair now has personality. My friends loved it when I sent them the photos. They have been asking me when I was going to redo the previous disaster. About 15 mins later she got me back. I was exhausted and just asked her to make it look really good. The wash was great, and my hair was soft after. Thing is, she flipped my hair forward and one side was nice and smooth and wavy and the other... was about 2 inches longer and not smooth or wavy and my bangs were a complete fluffy disaster. It didn't look good, let alone really good. I'm looking in the mirror, very surprised and not in a good way and she's looking at me in the mirror and I'm thinking...
