So I can't really fault her. But the food was absolutely phenomenal. There wasn't anything that I didn't like. What I could really rave about was calamari because you don't really see that at the buffets. Fish was really good. I believe it was flounder. I can't believe all the kinds of shrimp that they had. My favorite was probably the coconut shrimp and the pineapple shrimp and pineapple chicken were very good as well but I really liked everything. Overall. The apple pie was very good. It was warm and it was in one of the meat serving areas. This is now my favorite restaurant and I will definitely return

They were out of baked potatoes. Their mashed potatoes tasted like paste and the gravy was most likely out of a grocery store jar. I also ordered a bloody Mary, but they couldn't make it. The breaded mushrooms tasted like they hadn't changed the oil for a while. The only good thing was the salad

Tried over the weekend for a late lunch…read more I don't expect great sushi in Kokomo, there were a couple thing here that stood out as surprisingly good, others that were just off. The decor of the restaurant is that of an old English/Irish pub, including a bar in the center. They have enough seating for 20-30 people, but their business is set for everyone to take the food togo. They hand you a paper menu, and tell you to use a kiosk, but then if you want to pay cash, you have to deal with the person behind the bar. I ordered the Sushi appetizer and a bowl. The appetizer was a fair value, but they don't have sushi ginger, instead they had ginger strips, bright red, that they had diced - I had the same ginger in the bowl, but they left that in strips. All of the food was delivered to my table on a tray, using to go containers that you find in the grocery stores - including a plastic fork and soy sauce packets. Was the meal fairly priced - yes Did this place feel welcoming - no I would not go planning to eat in the restaurant - but if I wanted takeout while in the area, maybe? I guess they are shooting for the takeout lunch crowd at the hospital/hospital support offices I have gotten to the point I don't trust yelp, too many compensated reviews, too many fake reviews, but all they care about is quantity of reviews - how sad

The asparagus was too chunky and woody... it tasted like it was old. The crab (steak Oscar) was canned, but it was remarkably high quality for canned crab, and didn't detract from the dish. My girlfriend enjoyed her meal as well. We also ordered the "chocolate tower" which turned out to be an extremely large slice of chocolate cake. It didn't "tower" but rather was lying on the plate as one regularly would serve cake, so the name was confusing. The cake was okay, though tasted a little dry, like it had been hanging around in the fridge for too long. It was an overall good dining experience and we'll try it again sometime, but probably trying a different dessert.

I finally asked them once if they did make much of their own food like Crab Rangoon, etc. and she said yes. Visits later I actually watched them making their own. It tasted like it. I had given up on fried rice in this area because it was just flavorless and unimpressive. I forgot to exchange it once as I normally got just plain rice. I was amazed. I no longer get white rice. So many things here are good and taste like homemade. It is always clean as well. You can see the cooking area. Just wish I could eat their food every day. I'd be very happy and less grouchy! Oh and Id given up on egg rolls too until finding this place. I loved egg rolls in other places, even countries I visited or I lived, but in this area they tasted like long frozen not worth eating rolls. The egg rolls here are great and flavored well. I ordered uncooked rolls to take home. They are made fresh, not fully frozen but kept ready for days normal need. So I took them home and they were fixed before I even got them in my freezer to save. I always get eggs rolls, crab rangoon along with whatever entrees we decide on. Never unhappy. I recommend and person who always goes with me to Kokomo loves this place too!
