4.5 stars. Came here for a celebration of life for my grandmother -- she LIVED for her Chinese buffets. Didn't quite like how unclear our reserved seating section was from the start, but it wasn't that much of a big deal once it was explained. The waiter was just not super nice about it? Could be a language barrier. The variety was nice to satisfy 50 different palates: soups, salads, sushi, Asian buffet foods, Mongolian grill, seafood, American food, and desserts including ice cream, chocolate fondue, Chinese buffet style desserts, and fruits. The price was super affordable for adults: $12.99. We went on New Year's Eve around lunch time. We also had children and 60+ adults that got to eat at a discounted fare. If you're in the area with a large party, I'd recommend giving King Buffet a try.

I have been wanting to try this place for a while. I give King Buffet two thumbs up. This restaurant used to be a Furs Cafeteria. They totally remodeled the property, and it looks fantastic. It's wide open and can accommodate 400 guests. The food selection was great. About four or five hot food stations had everything from teriyaki chicken to fried crabs to soups. They also had fresh fruit and salad stations, an area to build your bowl, and a dessert station. I was very impressed with the staff. When you left a dirty plate on your table, someone quickly came by to remove it. You don't see stacks of used plates and cups. It is a family ambiance suitable for all ages. My meal was $16, and my mom (a senior) was $14. I felt it was a reasonable price. They also have a carryout option.

We were craving a variety of food, so we decided to try king buffet. We've eaten at the king buffet in Plano which is excellent, so we had some expectations to meet The service and atmosphere were pretty good. I enjoy the Christmas music that was playing. Cons All of the food did not hit for me. Some of the food that looked good did not pop in flavor for me. I felt like a lot of it needed extra seasoning, it was watered down, or it tasted like it was in the fridge for a day. I got a bunch of different sushi and they somehow tasted the same. The best thing was the hibachi which was made fresh and great. There was a crazy buzz in the room that we were in like a speaker wasn't plugged in all the way. It was loud and buzzing in your ear. That definitely ruined the Christmas vibe.

King Buffet is located in Arlington right off I20 and Matlock on the service road whipping up good quality Chinese American dishes along with sushi and Mongolian BBQ! We have been here multiple times with friends and family, and we keep on coming back for more due to the quality of food and the clean environment. They have just about anything to eat with many different options to pick from. When dining in service is easy as to where you simply walk in and the host will sit you down at your table and take your beverage orders. From there you simply help yourself and explore the wide varieties of food being offered. Inside is spacious and well-lit and all of the food is labeled with the correct food labels. The staff is constantly refilling food items when the item is low and always delivering the freshest hottest food items that are prepared in the kitchen for top notch service. The lunch prices throughout the week are different from dinner due to the fact of different food items being served. During dinner meals you will find snow crab, and a great variety of seafood to choose from. On weekends all the meals are dinner prices since the seafood is served all day. They do have an early bird special as well as a senior citizen discount that is provided to personal who qualify. Overall, this place is good, and it clearly separates itself from the others due to the impeccable attention of detail. The staff is always on top of their game looking to serve you in the most fashionable matter. They keep hot foods hot and cold foods cold following proper sanitation guidelines. The prices are fair and if you're looking for the most bang for your buck than look no more since this fine establishment clearly does that.

Super clean and looks like newly designed indoor art and seating areas with large TV's. There are lots of buffet items, surely plenty you will enjoy. They are constantly bringing out fresh food, and their meat selections are tender and flavorful. Chicken wings are great! Don't worry their are lots of veggie and non meat items as well. Save room for the chocolate fountain! The sushi is so-so, but the rest of the items are really good. Staff was super quick to refill drinks and clear the tables. This might be new favorite in the area!

    Typical fortune, lol.

Other than this new concern, I personally find this place a "comfort spot". Not high quality Asian food but the best "B grade" Asian food there is in Arlington. I enjoy the portions, the taste but most importantly, their drinks!! I especially love ordering their Oreo Shake (even better than other boba tea places) and their Strawberry Milk Tea. Service is always spectacular. They are fast and friendly! I've also ordered online before and the food is always hot and ready by the time I arrive there. If you have kids, they will enjoy the arcade connected to the restaurant. Seriously though...the change in fries makes me sad. If I come back, it will be for the drinks.

Each combo comes with a free tea (black/green/milk). The service here is quick and straight to the point. I like this place because it is quick and a great value for decent food. I wouldn't say this is the best food I've ever had but I enjoy it as it brings me back to my college days when they used to have a location near UT Dallas years ago. I deducted a star as the restaurant itself had a chemical smell in the dining area, otherwise I recommend getting it to go and enjoying it at home. Parking here should be fairly easy, there is a parking lot in front of it but be careful not to park in front of the business in front of it. This is located down the street from UT Arlington.

I believed the online hype about the St. Louis-style rice, so I decided to give this place a try…read more It's located in a shopping strip next to a barbershop and a salon. I ordered the St. Louis rice combo with an egg roll, Kung Pao chicken, and chicken wings. Appetizers: The egg roll was okay -- I'd give it a 3/5. The chicken wings were also just okay and a little greasy -- 3/5. Kung Pao Chicken: It was spicy, but very bland overall. I'm used to a darker, richer sauce, but this one was very light and didn't have much flavor -- 1/5. They do give you a generous portion, though. St. Louis-Style Rice: It came out hot and included bean sprouts, which a lot of places don't do anymore, so I appreciated that. The rice was dark, but even with steak, chicken, and shrimp, it still lacked flavor -- 2/5. The prices are good, service is fast, and there's plenty of space if you want to dine in. That said, it's not worth going back for me, but I'm glad I tried it.

As a St. Louis native, I had to try this spot's STL-style fried rice, and it definitely scratched…read morethat itch! It's a charming "hole-in-the-wall" place that reminded me of home, and it was noticeably clean. I'll definitely be back for more. What I Loved First off, the fried rice had that perfect dark hue it's supposed to have, and I was thrilled that peas and carrots were excluded. The portion size was incredibly generous - you get a lot for your money. I also really appreciated that the lady who helped me was upfront about them not having red pepper packets or sweet and sour sauce. Room for Improvement While I enjoyed my meal, there are a few things to note. The STL-style fried rice isn't actually on the main menu; you have to know they make it and ask for it, which seems a bit odd and makes me wonder why they don't advertise it more. And though I appreciated the heads-up about the missing condiments, they really need to stock red pepper packets and sweet and sour sauce. Duck sauce is a decent substitute, but red pepper is a must for this kind of dish. My rice also lacked bean sprouts and green onions, which was a disappointment. I'd recommend skipping their crab rangoon and homemade sweet and sour sauce; neither was very good. Finally, I ordered two large chicken fried rice orders and asked for no eggs in one, but both orders came without eggs, even though only one was marked "no eggs." Overall, it's a promising spot for St. Louis-style fried rice, and I'm looking forward to seeing these minor issues addressed
