If you're seeing this review or location you're probably already familiar. Maybe you love the First Watch modding meditation juice. Maybe you get crafty at Michael's. Maybe you're curious what exists adjacent from the nearby Costco? Or maybe you just look for listings for anything local on Yelp like I do. Lots of parking here. Almost too much per each business really. It'll get tough the closer you are to the business depending on popularity but that can be said for anywhere. Lots of people roll quickly through the area so watch your blind spots! I think they'll add more stores in here as business returns and Covid restrictions lessen. Most of the stores here have been around for a good while though so it's already a good location. Something for everyone from shopping to food and hobbies.

I even looked online at REI where there would be a collection to choose from different brands. Many, I had already seen and were not exactly right or if promising, they were out of stock. But the last time I bought a bag sight unseen, at a great clearance price from Athleta, it was smaller than needed. When I saw a bag online with good dimensions and good colors and I knew that we had an Arc'teryx store on Pearl, I called them. I have owned their branded fleece in the past and remembered that it had great quality features. I was told what bag colors were in stock, so I got a ride down to look. I chose the mallow (lavender, very summery) color and the price was right so I bought it. A nice feature it has, as a cross body style, is a narrower strap than my winter one. This makes it all the more comfortable when it is worn directly on a summer shirt. My other bag is much more comfortable over a coat. The store was beautiful and well staffed. They even have some specialized laundering machines behind a wall of glass. If you buy a down or Gor-tex jacket from them, they will launder it for free. That sounds like a great service. Sadly none of my down jackets are theirs. Luckily I have no problem laundering our Gortex jackets (also not their brand) but I will take that into account when replacing jackets in the future. I have a brand that fits me and that is always my first criteria.

Arc'teryx Downtown Boulder Store - Disappointing Experience with Their Repair Promise…read more I recently visited the downtown Boulder Arc'teryx location with my $90 lightweight long sleeve shirt, hoping to get a small collar stitch repaired. I had purchased this shirt with the understanding that Arc'teryx stood by repairs for their products--but left the store feeling let down by both the service and their warranty policy. My shirt developed a loose thread in the collar after coming out of the wash. I figured it would be an easy, straightforward fix, so I brought it back to the store. The employees seemed unsure about store procedures and explained I had two repair "options": Mail it off to their repair facility (estimated 6-8 week wait)--a solution I was fine with. Receive a store voucher to put towards a replacement, which would be emailed after 30-90 minutes. I said the voucher was fine and left to grab a coffee. Not long after, I got a call from the associate letting me know I suddenly wasn't eligible for a voucher or repair at all because I'd cut off the three-inch-long white side tag. She explained, in a condescending manner, that removing the tag voids the warranty. For clarity: this tag is attached with a small, easily-removable piece of fabric (a common industry practice precisely so customers can remove the tag without harming the garment). I bought this shirt about six months ago and, like most people, didn't want a long nylon tag sticking out of the hem, so of course it's no longer there. It was honestly frustrating to be told that removing such an intrusive tag disqualified me from any warranty help--especially for a clearly minor manufacturer flaw like an unfinished thread. Overall, I was extremely disappointed: The employees didn't really know their store policies, and what should have been a small fix turned into a hassle. The "repair guarantee" is misleading--if you cut off a tag, you lose eligibility for both repair and any compensation, regardless of whether the damage is a manufacturing defect. At this price point, I expect reliable customer service and a real commitment to standing by your products. Needless to say, I'll be looking elsewhere for quality gear. The service and policies here just aren't trustworthy enough for me to shop with Arc'teryx again.

I initially felt kind of nervous and out of place going in somewhere like build-a-bear as a 24 year old, but he made us feel welcome and made our special day that much more special. the woman who stuffed our bunnies for us (I don't remember her name) was very kind and lovely and didn't seem to mind that we were two twentysomethings holding hands and making stuffed animals for each other. we got to make our bunnies, ivy and riley, and dress them for each other with love and care without any judgment from anyone in the store. 10/10, would recommend and would go again (preferably with my girlfriend).

You'd be a fool to buy spices anywhere else with the prices they have here. Prices in general are amazing and the owners are so sweet and kind. They are almost always there, I hope someday they can afford to pay someone else and take some time off! I am able to regularly impress people with my "indian cooking" thanks to all the goodies I get at this store. They make things so easy.

We also picked up some extra-spicy pickles for burgers, and I was happy to find some CBD body lotion for muscle & joint pain. Saved me a trip to the dispensary!

I had seen pictures of the murals along the way and I love art walks, so I decided we had to go. The reviews all seem pretty positive here, but I noted that they are from many years ago when perhaps it was different. We did not have a positive experience. I looked on the website and found the address of a gallery that said there was a showing that night, and decided to get dropped off there. We figured we would then walk to nearby galleries and follow the festivities. Well, we walked into the first gallery which was really large. There were several artist's workshops inside with artists walking around. However, nothing was displayed, it was more just works in progress and no one said hello or welcomed us. They pretty much looked at us as though we shouldn't be there. After that, we decided to move on the next. The only other gallery we could find was more of a strange bar/club with a few pieces of art hanging up. We wound up in a distillery nearby and talked to a couple who had been trying to go on the art walk as well. The woman said, "We found more bars than art". Those were my sentiments exactly. After that, we spent the evening bar-hopping. I'm giving it two stars instead of one, as it did get us out to a part of town with cool bars and restaurants. As far as the art walk, perhaps it is best not to return.

People seem happy and all the businesses stay open or move their stuff to the sidewalk. Very festive. While I am always about promoting art and artists (I am an art historian), most businesses are not set up to be gallery spaces recognizing flow, placement and lighting. I am leaving the name of one of these places out but as soon as you walk into it, you will know what I am talking about. Viewing and enjoying art is almost an impossibility. Hoping on the bandwagon just because it is going by does not an art gallery make and no, hanging art on the walls does not make a person a curator. The neighborhood has really been under going a renaissance but as we parked and walked toward Tennyson, a carload of kids yelled, "Look, white people!" Hey, dumb*&^% I am not all white and my friend is Native American. Scary teenagers on a dark street....yikes.
