Kind of like Argonaut or Apple Jacks if you know those local stores. Lots of parking all around even when the stores get busy. Just make sure you go the posted speed limit. Police hanging around as mentioned before and they will write your a ticket. Not much to do so they hang around this parking lot bored.

I don't even know if there were shops where the main mall area was to tell you the truth. If there was they were useless stores and did not make an impression on me. The only store that I do remember there was a Target store. It was so old it was best called a Targhetto store. Very small, about the same amount of merchandise as compared to the other Targets only you were reminded where you were and it totally sucked! A couple of weeks ago I was in this area and most if not all of Lakeside Center looked like it was getting torn down. Goodbye to an eyesore! How about putting a nice open space park here now since they finally gave this place the axe, which it needed a long time ago!

Major retailers are King Soopers, Ace Hardware, Target, Great Clips, Cricket Wireless, Bellco Credit Union, Orangetheory Fitness, Lakefront Eyecare, crumbl Cookies, Nails Pro Spa, Happy Lemon (bubble tea), GNC, Sally Beauty Supply, McDonald's, and Chase Bank. There seems to be a lot of confusion between this open-air retail area--Edgewater Marketplace--and the Edgewater Public Market which is an enclosed festival market several blocks north at West 22nd Avenue and Depew Street. I often stop here on my way to or from Lakewood because there's a very convenient King Soopers gas station. The Soopers store itself is spacious and well-stocked. There's also a nice Ace Hardware. That's about the extent of my interest.

Someone also had summery clothes laid out for people to take as needed. Made me smile. We passed a cool play structure for small kids in the shape of a honeycomb/hive, with chairs on the side for parents to rest and watch. The efforts of Denver to revitalize their downtown appear to be paying off. I would hang out there more if we lived nearby (between heading out to Golden or the Red Rocks Amphitheater;)). It's dirty and the number of unfortunate homeless people was alarming. One guy appearing very volatile was yelling and swearing as he walked alone and suddenly came up and yelled and cursed at a 6 year old in our family scaring him and all of us. They speak of these coordinates with such religious fervor that you arrive expecting a spiritual transformation, or at least a profound insight into the human condition. Larimer Square is an undeniably pleasant place, but the heavens remained firmly closed. The pamphlets do not lie about the aesthetics. It is handsome. There are beautifully restored Victorian brick buildings from the nineteenth century, and an overhead canopy of string lights that makes the pavement look like the staging area for a high-end commercial. It feels like a very clean, very efficient factory where postcards are manufactured for people who live somewhere else. The primary structural defect of Larimer Square, however, is that it is exactly one block long. You enter the historic district at 14th Street and, after an incredibly brief amount of leisurely bipedal motion, you arrive at 15th Street. And then you are entirely finished. If you rearranged your entire day to see it, you are left standing on the asphalt, blinking into the Colorado sun, wondering what an adult is supposed to do with the remaining twenty-three hours of the day. Allegedly it used to possess a bit of a local soul, the old-timers on the internet still mourn a legendary neighborhood institution called The Market that used to sell cake and coffee, but some corporate real estate equity firm from North Carolina bought the block a few years back. Now it feels like an outdoor museum where the artifacts happen to be expensive designer boutiques and highly exclusive, overcrowded restaurants. Furthermore, if you wish to park a motor vehicle anywhere near this singular block, the surrounding lots will happily charge you enough money to buy a small appliance. If you already have an upscale dinner reservation nearby, it is a perfectly lovely backdrop for a short stroll. But if another traveler tells you to restructure any part of your itinerary around it, I would advise you to preserve your energy. It is a very cute, potentially somewhat expensive, twelve-minute experience.

The Denver Pavilions is a beautiful place. It's got a movie theater, shops, restaurants, a…read morenightclub, and even a bowling alley with an arcade. What more can you ask for in an outdoor shopping mall. At 3 floors this place has a variety of options for everyone. Unfortunately it is also plagued by the homeless who stay closer towards 16th street. I did see some in the hot topic when I was there. Overall it is nice venue. I highly recommend checking it out if you're in the downtown Denver area.
