Yes, they still call this a mall, but the Medical University of South Carolina has taken over a…read morelarge amount of the space which used to be Sears and a couple of other places that decided not to stay at this mall. Of course there is the proverbial food court which is apparently expanding a bit with a few other places joining the Chinese and Japanese food there along with the Chick-fil-A, so maybe there is a bit of Hope for a portion of the mall anyway. One corner near the food court used to house a higher end jewelry store but it is now been taken over by a cell phone repair station which used to be nothing but a large kiosk outside of the food court. At the other end of Citadel Mall, away from the Medical University of South Carolina, is the Target store which is a nice one and a large one. That mainly is my draw usually in coming to Citadel Mall but on this occasion I was accompanying my wife to an appointment with a physician with the Medical University. Frankly this mall has seen its better days and has little pull for people to come her. Sad times over the last number of years.

Even the Charleston Police Department has left this mall. Back in the day it must've been a nice…read moremall, now there is only about 4 or 5 stores left Didn't find what I saw on Yelp, they left years ago. Sad to see how things have changed. How much longer will this place be operational for the few remaining stores is anybody's guess
