I am so so disappointed to learn that Rhonda Lee was let go. I have been wondering why I no longer see her delivering the weather focus, and kept thinking that she maybe was on vacation. But today, I decided to google to find out why she's not there. It's so disappointing to learn that she is no longer going to be there. She was so much fun, with a great sense of humor and I always tuned in just to see her deliver the weather focus! What a shame that a great person like that is let to go!! read more

We have been wondering where Rhonda Lee was. Googled her name to see what happened. I can't believe you guys let her go! King 5 is really slipping. Too bad, you have been my news channel for 30 plus years read more

We adore Rhonda Lee!! She's articulate, smart and entertaining. As many places I've lived, she's one of my favorites. Love her!

Good riddance Tracy T. She lacked professionalism, was goofy and interruptive. I've been a fan of King5 morning news for four decades and I can honestly say I'm glad to see her go. The new ownership surely knows what they're doing as I've seen some great positive changes in the last few months. One of the new additions hyphenates his last name and I've never seen that in a guy, but what do I know??? I'll reserve the right to add stars to this review and edit it at a later time as I see how the new changes are being implemented. Tegna has a history of buying stations and then causing mass havoc with the hiring and firing of new talent so I'm sure it will take a few months to work out the kinks and get the new talent acclimated with the long-standing professionals at King 5news. read more

I'm so disappointed! I have watched King5 for years and now am shocked and disappointed that Rhonda Lee was let go. She brought a unique gift to the weather report. Bring her back! we need some unscripted and real people on the news. Now I'm skipping the news. There is no real need. I can get "just the facts" from my weather and new apps. read more

I finally had time to look into what I've wondered about for awhile. I'm saddened to find Prince 5 News (not the King) fired Rhonda Lee. Finally, a real person w/ a real personality (including humor) and now she's gone. I can't watch Ch 4 news anymore since they have Sinclair people defining the editorial end of things. Darn. Did they replace Rhonda w/ the physically more TVgenic blonde (yes another true blonde on the news channels) w/ stereotypically approved white male body shape for a gal. I liked Rhonda...no wigs, no stiletto's...seemingly a normal gal w/ a pleasant nature. Enough w/ the Barbie's and Ken's. read more

We HAVE been a loyal viewer of King 5 for some years. We no longer watch King 5 in the morning but still watch the 5pm-6pm telecast and are generally pleased with the reporters. We find Rhonda Lee to be a breath of fresh air in her presentation of the weather. She brings an enthusiasm to her job that is infectious AND still presents the weather in a professional manner. HOWEVER, the new King 5 graphics and coloration in general are horrible and in PARTICULAR the icons depicted during the weather segments are just stupid and offer nothing except confusion. Please change this and soon! read more

I just found out about Rhonda Lee being let go. I had wondered what happened to her. You guys suck! She was great! I looked forward to watching the weather report because of her. She was a breath of fresh air. First you let Tracy go and now Rhonda. Can't stand it if your anchors are enjoying what they do. KOMO and KIRO here I come. read more

I watch King 5 every evening. I love the reporters...great reporting. Kudos.

Great meteorologist and weather person, love her bright cheerful manner...

Love the new weather person!! Rhonda lee was unprofessional and painful to watch. Nothing against her personality but it wasn't suited to a serious broadcast to much goofing around and not enough weather information. The new person is the polar opposite very polished, informed and professional. Thank you for the change. read more

Your preview of news is great but promoting it a dozen times prior to the news show is a bit much

Website has a ridiculous amount of ads making it a pain to navigate.

We loved Rhonda Lee and have been wondering what happened to her. We read here that she was fired. Big mistake: we have changed to another station for our news. Rhonda was the main reason we tuned in after the "big firing wave" took place (losing many of the senior reporters). My favorite Rhonda moment was the afternoon when she gave the weather report from Alki Beach while dipping her toes in the water. How human and fun. We wish her all the best! read more

We continue to hope KING 5 management will come to it's senses and rehire Rhonda Lee. She brought a breath of fresh air to the news, and we always looked forward to her forecasts. You now seem to rotate two or three meteorologists, sometimes throwing in the guy who reports on traffic conditions to cover the weather. None of them have Rhonda's personality or expertise. She made watching the weather forecasts entertaining, fun and informative. Bring her back! read more

King 5 News pre-empted the national news. I don't want you changing national the news time. You guys think your news is way more important than I do. I don't want to watch about more snow. OMG. YOU GUYS SUCK! read more

I absolutely love Rhonda Lee. I can't believe King 5 let her go. I'm saddened by that. Therefore I changed my review to a 1 star from a 5 star. And I also will not be watching King 5 news anymore just because I don't see my girl no more. read more

Wow!! King 5 let go of Rhonda Lee! She's the best weather person since Jeff Renner and Rich Marriott. Least she actually is a meteorologist and knows her stuff. She was genuinely a wonderful reason why you tuned in. King 5 just makes one stupid mistake after another. I believe they just want a cookie cutter look anymore. I hate their program anymore read more

I love Rhonda Lee! She gives me information on all parts of the US that are impacted by weather events as well as exact details as to what is happening or expected in my own backyard. She is professional with a plus of delightful. A breath of fresh air! read more

I have been a King 5 News watcher for years and I was really happy when David Espinosa showed up and then Rhonda Lee. For weeks my husband and our friends have all been wondering "Where is Rhonda Lee?!" I was hoping she was on vacation. Now I'm reading here that she was fired?! WHAT?! What the he** are you guys thinking?! Rhonda was Fun, Smart, Quirky, Entertaining, and had a Personality! I'm upset. Does everyone have to be a cookie cutter boring weather nerd?! I'm white, educated, professional and 55 years old. My husband is white, 58, and blue collar - and we both came into the room when Rhonda did the weather! I don't know who your average viewer is but you nerds made a big mistake if you did fire her! Shame on you King 5 and Many Best Wishes to Ms. Lee, if you see this!!Keep on keeping on with your natural hair (crap from last job) and great sense of humor!! read more

Sad to hear Rhonda Lee was fired. So many changes and not good ones. Will switch to KIRO.

We have been wondering what happened to Rhonda Lee, and now know King 5 let her go. We so enjoyed her presence, sense of humor, and bringing some fun into the newsroom. We made a point of watching the segments she was in, and now will not be watching King 5. We hope she will show up locally! Their loss Rhonda!!!! Ron & Amy Wayman read more

Good morning KING 5. I left my house this morning and was walking down Fremont Avenue. To my dismay your tower was not all lit up like a Christmas tree. The only visible lit up tree was the one on top of the Space Needle. What happened. Did someone forget to throw the switch?. Your giant Christmas tree is like a breath of fresh air on wintery December day. Please keep the lights on. BTW love your newscasters and weather people Rhonda is like a breath of fresh air. She has humor and tells the weather like it is. read more

I too would like to leave a "0" review. I am so tired of the revolving door at King 5. Rhonda Lee was a delight, one of the "new faces" whose name I could remember because she was so personable. Very disappointed in this decision. read more

They have killed KING5 news. I have been a long time loyal fan of KING and for the life of me I cannot understand what they were thinking with the recent personnel changes. It's like they were purposely trying to make each broadcast so annoying that it is unwatchable. The weekend morning newscasts use to be fun and light with the banter between the female anchors, but starting with the exit of Meg Coyle things started going downhill, and in recent months it's tanked hard. But it's not just that broadcast, they've done it to all the news time slots, inserting incredibly untalented and annoying personalities that make you think whoever is making these decisions must have been hit in the head with a hammer one too many times. The final straw for me was the addition of Rhonda Lee, who is just awful. Her hiccuping, misfiring delivery style is unnerving and unwatchable. I actually had my teenage son (who never watches the news) walk into the room while she was on TV and say "What is wrong with her?". I know staff changes are inevitable but it's like KING5 is going from an almost major league caliber news station to a backwoods single A minor league team - and they suck. Goodbye KING, hello KOMO and Q13. read more

Ben Dery is the best weather reporter! He seems to have a lot of knowledge about the weather and does a great job doing it.

I have been a loyal King 5 news watcher for decades. Maybe I am getting grumpy, or stupid but... There are two recent live coverage issues that to me are very poor judgement. The windstorm in November showed a fallen power line on Juanita drive. The King 5 live feed showed no police, nor repair crew present. Orange cones, and burnt out flares. Yet they were filming vehicles including a school bus, driving around the cones and right under the down power line. We're they hoping to film a live tragedy? Today, a live camera in a news vehicle driving up I-5 showing the variety of fog depending on the area. Traffic was moving at speed, and moving with limited traffic when the clip started. The news vehicle was in the middle lane with NO traffic in front for more than a few hundred yards. The news vehicle moved from the middle lane to the far left lane. What happen to our LAW that describes keep right unless passing? The clip continued, it was clear there was no reason to change lanes. Or if they did, it should have been to the right. They reached a slow down later in the clip. ALL lanes were slowed. No advantage to any of them. It seems like a clear example of not caring, and setting a live on film example how people should not behave. read more

I used to love King 5 news. Now they have let this Hive feature creep from the afternoon show into the news and it's a disaster. I want to hear from professional newscasters. If I wanted my new crowdsourced, I would read Facebook instead. Please return to your former standards! read more

I so agree with all the others who said what a big mistake it was to let Rhonda Lee go. She was my all-time favorite meteorologist (and I am nearly 79 and so have seen a few!). She is smart and weather-knowledgable with a great personality--she brightened the whole show. I like the others on the show, but Rhonda helped me go to bed with a happy feeling. I had not been watching KING5 news at 9:00 until I discovered Rhonda; now I rarely watch it because her absence saddens me. Please, please, if it's not too late, bring her back. read more

Pushed Jeff TRenner out, made Jim Guy disappear and now you've dumped Rhonda. The wife and I did enjoy Rhonda, I have watched King 5 all the way back to Bob Hale, but now, time to look elsewhere. read more

funny to see how they stand right next to some 1 with no mask on and not 6ft away, I do like other and don't want to sped to any 1 if I had it, then to see all them so called people helping at the stores , again no mask on, yup they wipe it down then talk above it! wow just to see how see the news is, well its great to see, wow read more

I just found out why I haven't seen Rhonda Lee doing her fun and entertaining weather report lately. King 5, you really missed the boat by not renewing her contract! I looked forward to hearing her fun, sassy and somewhat irreverent delivery of the weather. She has a knack for being very engaging while delivering information, that could otherwise get mundane. Seems like there's been a lot of flux with your news team of late, which I find offputting and unsettling as a viewer. So unfortunate, since I've been a King 5 viewer for the 30 years I've lived here. I now watch Komo or Kiro. I hope one of those stations picks Rhonda up before she moves on from Seattle. They seem to value longevity. And to Rhonda, you are a breath of fresh air! Keep being true to who you are, bloom where you are planted, and make lemonade from lemons. I expect that some day you will look back at this little blip on the radar and realize it was best thing that ever happened in your career. read more

Rhonda Lee is unwatchable. Her mindless ad-lib comments are unprofessional and her squeaky voice is painfully grating. I decided it's easier to stop watching KING 5 News altogether than to constantly muting the TV when she comes on. read more

I just witnessed one of the most (Tabloidish?) news features I think I have ever seen, and it made me want to change the channel, even though I followed it to it's conclusion. It was a mud slinging feature about a local broadband provider (Frontier Communications) You folks were all over them telling all your viewers just how many calls have been made to report problems, and that was so incomplete and inaccurate it is disgusting. I've been in the broadband business going on 29 years and am appalled at your approach. First off, you failed to mention the numerous other providers, and compare their numbers to the ones you were so eager to bash Frontier with. Century Link, Wave, Comcast, Click, let's compare apples to apples and see. I bet you'll find some really interesting results. And the worst part is this. You broadcasters milk the broadband providers for every nickel you can wring out of them (retransmission consent) when in reality they are doing you a favor by getting your broadcast signal into more households and supporting your broken (ad revenue) business model. How's that for biting the hand that feeds you? You should get a real job and work for a living instead of getting paid to trash people. read more
