I have the DSL internet This is the worst internet service you can get . I have had this service for 6 years It was ok for about 4 years then it got bad. It's down at least 3 or more days every month and it takes several days to get someone to fix it. It's difficult to get someone on the phone that even cares. And the worst part is it's only 5 or 6 megabytes down load and less than 1 megabyte upload but I cost $135 a month. Maybe their fiber service is better but their customer service is very poor. If you have any other options for internet it can't be any worse. read more

This company is the worst at Value and customer service I have experienced. The system glitches and goes out for days at a time. The company does NOT credit your bill when they should for outages or plan changes. They bill an entire month ahead! You quite literally pay for services you may not even receive. I have ALWAYS paid my bill before it's even due regardless of the service. East Texas has no competition for them so they steady make it a business of conning and threatening elderly customers out of money! The internet charges in this part of Texas are twice the amount that you would pay in central Texas. This company is very crooked. read more

Wow! The two service techs who came out to my house were just amazing! Aaron and Jean-Luke were very nice, quick, thorough, and just did a great job! My internet went out on Wednesday afternoon. I called that night to see what's going on. I called again the next morning and was told I had an appointment that day between 10-12. No one showed up. I called at 1 spoke to several employees also spoke with a supervisor. After all the phone calls etc. I have an appointment for December 15th. I let the supervisor know my children are home schooled and need the internet asap. All they did was escalate my case. Unacceptable. 2 weeks later for someone to come out. read more

Internet service went down Saturday night 5/21/2022 at 11 pm. After two hours on the phone I get told a technician will be dispatched to look into the issue. On Sunday morning, I look on my phone and see an email from the company stating they would not be here until Wednesday. I work remotely in a different time zone. I work remotely in a different time zone and have to be working at 6 AM Monday and they can't check it any sooner? read more

Windstream seems to be a very horrible company to do business with. They have no concept of customer service. Its not the low level employees, they were all nice to talk with and deal with, but I think the management at the top stinks and its rotten to the core. They do not understand that the companies that do not listen to their customers end up in the dust bin. I called multiple times to say I am working from home and needed internet sooner, but it still took them a week to come over. This is unacceptable. The CEO should be ashamed of such a lousy attitude or may be he drives such culture. What can you do better, forward this mail to all the top management and let them know what the customers think of them. Windstream Communications is a JOKE and they are taking advantage of people with their trash service. I have been a customer of Windstream for over 2 years now and every minute has been hell. I am paying $77 a month for 25 mbps internet speed, which is the slowest speed you can get, I used to be with Comcast and I paid $45 a month for 25 mbps internet speed, yes I am getting ripped off. The difference isn't just in the price but the service itself. Windstream's internet service is TRASH. The worst! I have been having the same internet issues since my first few months with Windstream. They have replaced my modem 3 times, they have redone my wiring once and they have come out to the my residence more times than I can count and still nothing has been fixed, it's like they just put band aids on things. I have to unplug and replug in my modem 2-4 times a week and sometimes up to 5 times in one day because my internet stops working. When I call Windstream about these continued issues they say the same thing time after time, that there is an issue with the box on my road and the pins that connect my internet in the box. I was told previously that they had fixed the pin issue and it shouldn't happen again but....here we are again. The technicians are useless or inappropriate (if they even show up). I have asked Windstream to not send a particular technician to my house for many reasons and to send someone else and they said they understood and he would not be returning well low and behold when I had a technician appointment who do you think showed up?? The same technician I had asked Windstream not to send anymore! Also, if you have a technician repair appointment don't count on them calling on their way or showing up on time, that has never EVER happened in my experience even though they say they do. Lastly, I find it unacceptable to have to wait for a technician repair appointment for sometimes 3 weeks. I now have no internet and will not until the technician appointment in a week, which is total BS. Then they don't want to budge to credit your account the days without service, they still expect you to pay for service you are not getting. All I can say is run far away from Windstream and go with another provider. read more
