So far their service has been great. Due to some installation issues and a billing question, I've had to contact them 3 times. Twice I spoke to a human within 5 minutes. I've had Kinetic WiFi service since October of 2024 and it sucks! It's out at least twice a month since it was installed and I was paying for a service contract in case something happened, well that was a $20 a month charge for "just in case" well after they changed everything out it worked fine until I had to begin Restarting everything again each day sometimes restarting up to 10-12 times per day. We have been without internet for a week. I asked for you to cancel my internet on the 11th and was told it was done. Then you charged me for march and it shows me as an active customer still. Every time I call in it takes forever to get any help or resolve to my issues. You owe me money in a refund. This is out of control how horrible your customer service is and how little you care to take care of your service and customers. Ten weeks later update. It took a week of no service to cancel. It took them over a week after that to actually remove the internet. Then they never refunded the month of February. They charged me for march. And they owed me money for over charging me from months before. They refuse to pay me so now we will be going another route to handle this. I would avoid this company like the plague at all costs!!! Even the supposed owner who replied has no clue what her or the parent company have done or are doing. No star for this company. My internet was down and called right away after a few minutes of talking to the customer rep and heard her pushing some buttons then she hang up. Tried calling again and couldn't get hold of anybody. As soon as we get Comcast in the area and I am cancelling kinetics right away. Bad internet service and bad customer service. We had a 1 year agreement of $39.99 a month then all of a sudden they tried charging me $115 a month and the rep gave me an attitude and raise her voice. Probably the worst company I have ever had internet with. Got hooked up, they charged for like 3 visits under their free installation. Under the $40 a month deal they charged me $50 a month with the added modem rental, with all the hidden fees it was actually $70 for my first month. The bill was supposed to go down $5 for autopay, nope, cause they charge you like $4.50 for using a card. Think the service will at least be good? Nope. At least one day a month is almost worthless and the network is always unstable. In my first 3 weeks of service they actually kept messing with my IP address and so we had service for about 5 days of 23. The $40 a month deal was supposed to last 6 months, nope, only 3. Argued with them, nothing they can do. Now, just 2 days ago, my $85 a month service is going up by $7. Honestly, I would never have signed up with them if I'd known how terrible their business and practices were. You're better off buying a carrier pidgeon than doing business with Windstream. read more

Most of the time we have no internet we can't watch tv. If we're watching a show the TV just stops and it keeps buffering and buffering. It's not worth $40. We never have a full day of Internet. Kinetic by Windstream totally sucks. It does not even deserve one star. It's worse than that. read more

I have never dealt with a company that has no idea what they are doing. Three times they reached out to me and said we now have fiber and need to send a technician out to replace a the router. Had my father sit and wait and no one shows up. Sometimes when we call they tell me I have fiber optics but the next time I call they tell me it's not hooked up yet. read more

The WORST. I just moved to PA into a house that already had Kinetic. It sucked terribly. I had two customer service reps that said all I had to do was transfer the account and then upgrade service. Which I did. It still sucks. I called again. They said they actually needed to send out a technician and ooops! Sorry ... the other two customer service reps were wrong. I have no other choice out here or I would switch in a heartbeat. If you have other options, take them. PS: NONE of their customer service agents speak English. I'm over it. read more

The way my bill gets paid is auto pay,so I get notified by text my bill is 100.00 $ more this month.i try and call but naturally the bill people are closed. The service I can't complain about but the customer care sucks I believe an old modem I gave to a tech never was recorded so they are trying to charge me now.im not paying it and if they don't take care of the problem I'll go to t-mobile for internet.I'm not going to be able to fight incompetent people. read more

This has to be the WORST company anywhere. We have had so many problems with our internet service and each time it has taken MULTIPLE calls and visits to resolve the issue. The latest issue was the worst. Our Internet has been going in and out for the past two weeks. Each time I call I am on hold for up to two hours and then get a non-English speaking representative. The technician came to our house three days ago; we were told we wouldn't need to be home. When we came home the internet was still not working and there was no note from the technician nor an email stating what had been done. I have not been able to get through at all for the past few days. Each time I call the recording says that they are experiencing high call volume and to call back in 30 minutes. This lasted all day long! Today I got through after being on hold for 2 hours only to have the representative ask for my PIN. I never created a PIN with this company; they have always asked before for a SS number. The rep then placed me on hold and disconected the phone. I HATE KINETIC! DO NOT USE THEM! Solid 1-star business here. I'll be fair and factual in my review, leaving out any subjective understanding of the experience I had with them. I called customer service interested in a promotion advertised on their website. In terms of cost, it's competitive with similar businesses, yet, does not match anything that was discussed with the sales department. I discovered in my conversations with the four representatives that the discrepancies between their website and their sales team was not a matter of deceitful advertising, but rather a matter of having employees that lack a basic understanding of their own services and products. From simple questions regarding promotions to slightly more technical ones abour Internet speeds and fiber optic connections, everyone had different answers. I asked if they had military discounts or offers for military veterans who were service connected and disabled as a result of service. The first rep I asked told me what he believed was how a military discount worked. In fact, he explained that military and veteran discounts NEVER have anything to do the companies who offer them, and that it's the actual military who decides where we get discounts. He told me that even well known department stores that offer small discounts only do so because the military made a deal with them and make money off it somehow to support the government. According to him, he knows this because his girlfriends uncle has a close friend that was in the military. (Enough said on that). Another huge issue I had was that, when i asked to receive an email regarding the deal I was being offered with a breakdown of costs, (just wanted to compare it to another company) they told me that I needed to complete the order with them first and make an appointment for install. I did, but in doing so, they did a soft credit check on me and it triggered a security freeze with equinox. I asked why they needed to check my credit for a services that was not bound by contract, and I got 3 different answers from 3 different people. For anyone reading this that might be interested in kinetic, ask yourself how this sort of interaction with 4 different employees on the front lines of this business would make you feel. For me, I felt like I couldn't trust them. I felt like they would be extremely unreliable if I ever required any assistance with my internet service or bill inquiries should they arise, as they always do. (That's life). It's the employees that you first encounter that really set the tone for any relationship a customer has with a business. I would highly suggest not doing business with this company, even if the numbers were good. read more
