This is an adorable shop! I popped in here to purchase a few stamps, as I forgot mine on my cruise ship. I was pleased to be able to mail the postcards here and to browse on my way in and out. The cashier who helped me was very sweet and seemed so proud of the store. They had a wide variety of cards, stickers, and more. If I was local to the area, I'm certain that I would be in here all the time. read more

Kindred Post - Kindred is Post must see - Post Offices Near Me - Juneau, Alaska

Juneau is not short of souvenir shops. There are so many gift shops that there is an anxiety of finding the best gift for the most inexpensive price. Kindred Post doubles as a post office which is convenient because they also sell contemporary, cute & clever postcards. Decor: The store's aesthetic reminded me of an Artists Co-op found in LA's Arts District with different sections of merchandise. The staff was kind enough to help me navigate and find gifts that were made in Juneau. I purchased a fragrant candle and a handful of postcards. I appreciate the organization and items being well kept. Location: I walked through the entire town was ease. There is plenty of eateries close by. Pros: - Super cool and Artisanal merchandise. - Friendly and helpful staff. Cons: - The store can get cramp when its crowded. read more

I have never been to such a cute shop. I could have stayed in here for hours and enjoyed every minute. Set up is adorable and the employees were also super helpful. I love that they offer gift wrapping (they do a great job). This is a must-go when in Juneau! read more

I was on a regent cruise and decided to stop in here with my mom. This place is amazing! I love that it's Got something for everyone. I love that it is very LGBTQ Fabulous and everything in between. I've lived in San Francisco and I currently live in Palm Desert (right next to Palm Springs) and I have never seen a shop like this. I bought a pair of cute earrings for my dog sitter and a book on "witchcraft" for myself. My mom bought some great cards. I could have spent all day and a lot more money in here. One of the cashiers told me this place is growing and the community is really supporting them. That is wonderful! I wish they were more shops like this. read more

Kindred Post is a cute shop with cool finds with unique items in the way of stationary, gifts, shirts, jewelry, art, cards, and more. More like a store I'd find home in Seattle, tailored towards the 15-30 crowd. They also have a full-service post office in this store. Found some great blue geode earrings for $35. They boxed them for me without having to be asked. A lot of the items are handmade and/or locally crafted so the prices match and I think it's reasonable. Saw on their blackboard they have events and contests, too. If I'm back in town, I will revisit. read more

What a cool shop to find in Juneau! This looks like a shop you'd find in Seattle, Portland or Los Angeles...very hipster!! Many of the things they carry are unique and handmade from local designers, so the price tags match too. They did have some interesting things and I really enjoyed looking around. They also have a post office/mailing service there too, in case you need to mail or ship something out of Juneau. read more

Do you know, this was probably our favorite shop on our Alaska cruise? So many shops in Alaska sell the same stuff, but this business had such a wide variety of local products made by Alaskan artists. Additionally, it serves as the post office for this neighborhood of Juneau, right near where the cruise ships dock. You should make this a "must visit" on your Alaskan vacation. What a great feeling, to buy local and to shop where the owners serve their community! read more

Kindred Post - Purchased hot out of the box! - Post Offices Near Me - Juneau, Alaska

Stopped in the other day to mail a postcard. Would have been frequenting this place all summer except when I kindly asked if they offered an airline discount, like some of the other stores in town, I was told by the charming lady behind the counter "yeah, in town...this is the local side and we don't care". I guess I will be letting all my coworkers know to stay away from this place! Too bad, we're there every night throughout the spring and summer. ** an airline discount is a discount that local businesses would give to airline crew staying in the area. read more

Beautiful store. Lots of character without being outdated. It's a very fun experience to see people writing post cards back home.

This place is cute - they offer jewellery and clothing, not just stamps!

One of the best shops ever!! I go to Juneau a couple times a year and I always have to stop in here. Christy NaMee Eriksen's prints from her "growing upwards" series are my absolute favourites - I almost always buy one when I'm there and and I have her work all over my house. Sweet nick nacks, jewelry, postcards, buttons and artwork. It's a pretty compact shop but I can easily spend a half hour or longer in there. Go!!!! read more

Best place to mail a package or anything! Shorter lines than the post office, better hours, and great place to browse for top quality jewelry, gifts, local art, native made and inspired shirts, cards, books . . . Terrific selection of local, unique, handcrafted merchandise. Good community vibe. Back to the postal facilities - convenient hours, all packing materials available, free tape and other things you need to get stuff mailed. Helpful staff. Centrally located in the heart of downtown Juneau, at Franklin and Front Street. Great for locals and really unique and classy place for visitors. Don't miss Kindred Post! read more
