I contacted the shipper insurance, the collect the statue and shipping contents, and Mt. Juneau Trading Company is no longer taking my calls. UPS says they settled the matter with Mt. Juneau Trading Company, and that I should call them for a solution. They are now not taking my calls. I was on a cruiseship and am also considering contacting the cruise ship company to lodge a complaint about Mt. Juneau Trading Company's business practices. I seek a refund or replacement. My calls are NO LONGER being answered. I expressed concern when I purchased the statue, about it breaking during shipping and KYLE TRIPP assured me it would arrive unbroken. It's a way to actually bring back a piece of the culture. We found this shop in our wandering and it didn't disappoint. In the place where the locals shop, we went in and found this stunning piece. It was a driftwood, ceramic, and metal hanging art piece. It had culture pieces from the area and was something we would love to have in our home year round. The staff there are knowledgeable, informed of shipping and the pieces they carry. Explaining a lot of how they have the selection they do. Even though they were busy she made us feel like we were important and not rushed. She also multi tasked like a fiend and assisted others while we thought over whether or not to ship. We decided to ship and the staff checked on the price which was very reasonable considering the size and fragility of the piece. We paid and waited for the item when we got home. In my rush I did not ask key questions or remember the answer to the questions I asked at the store. I blame the drink package. Well I messaged the store and the manager/owner was also helpful beyond the time difference and my randomness. Even though it takes effort to get there when we come back to Alaska I hope to see this shop there and if it's not in the same location I'm okay calling an uber to get taken there. 15/10. Highly recommend. When we got the package home it was wrapped beyond well. It was wrapped with the care that this person liked their job and wanted to do it well. I told them over the phone in April that the lilies were to be picked up by me upon my arrival and taken to my wife's final resting place and that my wife is a US Navy veteran that died by a disease the VA considers 100% service related who died June 29,2019. I consider the bouquet received to be a disrespect to my wife's memory and her service to our country for which she gave her life. I also consider it despicable that the bouquet delivered had any semblance to the bouquet I ordered. I responded to their request for review they emailed upon delivery and still have not received ANY reply from them a week later. I will never order from them again nor would I recommend this establishment to anyone.

After 6 weeks of waiting I called and I was told by the clerk that there was no way of telling when the order would be here, very rudely. After 3 months of waiting I finally received my order and the leather couch I ordered came in a different color than what I ordered and it was also vinyl not leather. It was not only the poor customer service I received from the Sitka store, it was the extra 6 weeks it took to receive my order and the worst part about it all is they charged me for a leather love seat and I received a vinyl love seat for $850.00 I would never purchase a vinyl love seat for almost a $1,000.00 as they also charged my $60.00 for the 6 week late delivery. The owner of the Lyle's & Jensens Home Furnishings lied to me when he said that my couch was finally on the way and it was leather, just a different color than I had picked out. I would not recommend this store to anyone, they over charged me, lied and provided lousy customer service. Lyles & Jensens basically stole my money and sold me poorly crafted furniture.
